Hub Covering for a Tyre Filling Device of a Vehicle
The invention relates to a hub covering (2) for a tyre filling device of a vehicle for covering a wheel hub (1) of the vehicle, wherein an air supply which is coupled to a steering knuckle (21) arranged inside the wheel hub (1) is connected to an air volume in a tyre of a vehicle wheel at least indirectly via a rotary connection (3) arranged on the hub covering (2), wherein the rotary connection (3) comprises an adapter (4), which is arranged in an axially secured and rotatable manner on the hub covering (4), and receives a rotary transmitter (5) for producing a compressed air connection to the tyre of the vehicle wheel. The invention further relates to a tyre filling device and to an adapter (4) for such a hub covering (2).
Pressure balance valve
An assembly for an ATIS that includes a tire inflation valve and a tire deflation valve, and further includes a safety valve that is configured to receive the tire pressure, deflate a tire when tire pressure is too high such as due to braking heat, road friction, ambient temperature, or other reasons. The safety valve prevents deflation of the tire through the deflation valve in the case of low source pressure, such as the pressure source fails or a leak in the source pressure system lines. The assembly is designed to be quickly serviced in the field, where the serviceable parts are very inexpensive. Multiple devices can be installed in parallel with the others, with one device per tire or tire set. The assembly can be a block configured to be attached to a hub cap of a vehicle. It also enables a sensor placement on the hub cap for hub temperature sensing as well as tire pressures sensing and reporting.
MULTI-BODY HUBCAP FOR TIRE INFLATION SYSTEMS
A hubcap comprising a base and a cap rotatably coupled to the base.
ROTOR WITH BREATHER AND ANTI-ROTATION ARRANGEMENT FOR TIRE CALIBRATION ARRANGEMENTS
Rotor with breather and anti-rotation arrangement for tire calibration arrangements that provides a suitable breather of the axle hub, and, in turn, an improved oil retention thus preventing the premature wear of internal pieces and possible accidents during its operation.
VEHICLE OPERATIONAL DIAGNOSTICS AND TRAILER HEALTH STATUS SYSTEM COMBINATION
A vehicle operational diagnostics and condition response system includes at least an axle supporting a cargo transport unit frame, a suspension disposed between and secured to each the cargo transport unit frame and the axle, a load detection device interacting with the suspension and communicating with a system controller, wherein the system controller is supported by the cargo transport unit frame, and a cargo transport unit health status system supported by the cargo transport unit and configured to communicate with the system controller. The cargo transport unit health status system provides state status information for monitored operational elements of the cargo transport unit.
STEER AXLE PRESSURE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A tire pressure management system includes at least an axle enclosing a pressurized fluid, a hubcap supported by the axle and having an interior and an exterior, a rotary union axially aligned with the axle and mounted to the hubcap, the rotary union includes at least rotary union housing providing a central bore, a fluid conduit having upstream and downstream ends, a first bearing and a second bearing. Each of the bearings are in contact engagement with the fluid conduit via an inner race, and in pressing engagement with a bearing sleeve via an outer race, the bearing sleeve in pressing contact with the central bore; and a first and second seal, the first seal is disposed between the first bearing and the downstream end of the fluid conduit, and the second seal is disposed between the second bearing and the upstream end of the fluid conduit.
Tire inflation system with pressurized gas routing through a spindle
A tire inflation system having a spindle that has a spindle fastener hole and spindle passage through which a pressurized gas flows for inflating a tire. An adapter or a fastener tube may inhibit pressurized gas from flowing from the spindle passage into the spindle fastener hole.
INFLATION INTEGRATED HUBCAP
A rotary union is configured for removable disposition into the central bore of a hubcap through an orifice in the outboard face of the hubcap. The hubcap includes a fluid channel extending from the central bore to the exterior of the hubcap. The rotary union includes a port through which fluid may flow into the fluid channel when the rotary union is disposed in the central bore.
Axle assembly with internal lubrication system
An axle assembly includes a spindle to receive a drive shaft having a rotational input about an axis and a wheel hub rotatably supported by at least one roller bearing disposed on the spindle. A tire inflation system defines a spindle gas passage to route pressurized gas from an onboard source through the spindle. The tire inflation system includes a seal chamber between the spindle and wheel hub to transfer gas from the spindle to the wheel hub, and a hub gas passage in fluid communication with the seal chamber is arranged to route the pressurized gas to a tire. A lubrication system having a reservoir is located axially outboard of the seal chamber and at least one hub lubricant passage routes lubricant between the reservoir to a roller bearing located axially inboard of the seal chamber. The hub lubricant passage routes lubricant radially outward of the seal chamber.
