SMALL TRAILER TIRE INFLATION SYSTEM
A tire inflation system for a small trailer may include a fluid pressure source mountable to the trailer, and fluid conduits providing sealed fluid communication between the fluid pressure source and the small trailer's pneumatic tires. The system may further include a fluid connector configured for connection to an external fluid power source.
DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING COMPRESSED AIR OR CONTROL AND/OR WORKING PRESSURES IN A CARDAN SHAFT ARRANGEMENT
A rotation transmission apparatus for transmitting control and/or working pressures to a fluid channel, which is at least regionally configured or accommodated on or in a shaft, in particular a drive shaft, wherein the rotation transmission apparatus includes a stator assembly, which is arranged such that it is stationary relative to a rotational movement of the shaft and has at least one fluid supply/discharge line, wherein the fluid supply/discharge opens into an annular space which surrounds the shaft at least partially and with which the fluid channel of the shaft is fluidically connected via a branch channel, wherein the annular space is associated with sealing elements, which are arranged and configured in the annular space at least partially such that they seal the annular space from the outside atmosphere when a previously defined or definable overpressure is applied in the annular space.
AXLE ASSEMBLY HAVING A SPINDLE PLUG AND A SLEEVE
An axle assembly having a hose, a spindle plug, a sleeve, and a rotary union adapted to be fluidly connected to a tire. The spindle plug may be disposed in a spindle. The hose may be fluidly connected to the rotary union. The sleeve may encircle the hose and extend from the spindle plug to a stator of the rotary union. The sleeve cooperates with the spindle plug to limit rotation of the stator and the hose.
Load-based tire inflation system for heavy-duty vehicles
A load-based tire inflation system for a heavy-duty vehicle comprises at least one source of fluid pressure, suspension structure of the heavy-duty vehicle, a tire and wheel assembly and a system to control fluid pressure in the tire and wheel assembly. The suspension structure is located between a frame member and an axle and has a condition indicative of a weight of the heavy-duty vehicle. The tire and wheel assembly is operatively mounted to the axle and is in fluid communication with the source of fluid pressure. The control system controls fluid pressure in the tire and wheel assembly in response to the condition of the suspension structure.
Hydraulic device comprising an air flow line
The invention relates to a hydraulic device including: a stator and a rotor, in which the rotor can rotate relative to the stator about a first axis of rotation; and a shaft mounted on the rotor such as to rotate therewith. The shaft has a wheel carrier provided at a proximal end thereof and designed to receive a rim and a tire. The shaft includes a through-channel extending from the proximal end to an opposing distal end. The hydraulic device includes an air chamber formed at the distal end of the shaft and connected to the through-channel. The through-channel and air chamber are produced such as to allow a flow of air in order to control the pressure of a tire.
Tether Restraint for Truck Drive Wheels
A wheel restraint system especially useful for restraining break-away wheels on drive axles and also to trailer axles, having a tether, a cable end component, a thrust bearing, and a wheel retention subassembly which fits over a wheel hub, wherein the tether is secured to the vehicle, such as secured to the inside wall of a hollow axle or through a hollow axle to an opposing similar wheel restraint system.
Wheel end assembly having a vent passage
A wheel end assembly having a spindle, a hub, and a rotary seal assembly. The spindle defines a spindle air passage, a vent passage, and a spindle hole. The hub defines a hub air passage. The rotary seal assembly fluidly connects the spindle air passage to the hub air passage. The vent passage fluidly connects an inboard cavity to the spindle hole.
Gaiter
A gaiter (4) for a lubricated joint (1) comprises a sidewall structure (9) defining an enclosure (5) for receiving a lubricant and a passageway (24) for conveying a gas. In use, the passageway (12) conveys gas in isolation from said enclosure (5). Gaiters (4) in accordance with the invention find application in vehicle central tire inflation systems (CTIS).
ROTOR WITH BREATHER AND ANTI-ROTATION ARRANGEMENT FOR TIRE CALIBRATION ARRANGEMENTS
Rotor with breather and anti-rotation arrangement for tire calibration arrangements that provides a suitable breather of the axle hub, and, in turn, an improved oil retention thus preventing the premature wear of internal pieces and possible accidents during its operation.
LOAD REGULATED TIRE INFLATION SYSTEM
A tire inflation system for use with a vehicle includes an airflow regulator configured to adjust a tire pressure of an inflatable tire coupled to an axle included in a wheel-axle system of a vehicle. The tire inflation system may further include a controller including a processor and a memory, the memory having stored therein a plurality of instructions that when executed by the processor cause the controller to receive data indicative of a force load acting on the axle and adjust the airflow regulator to cause the airflow regulator to control the tire pressure of the inflatable tire based on the data indicative of the force load acting on the axle.
