A vehicle wheel service apparatus that includes: a frame; a plurality of working tools, connected to the frame and movable to perform operations for mounting and/or demounting the tyre relative to the wheel rim; a shaft driven by an actuator rotationally about a longitudinal axis and connectable to the rim; a measuring system for generating vibration signals representing vibrations of the shaft produced by wheel imbalances; a control unit, connected to the measuring system to receive the vibration signals; a support device, connected to the frame and movable between an activated position, where it encircles the shaft while still allowing it to rotate, and a deactivated position, where it is spaced from the shaft; a connector, movable between a working position, where it mechanically connects the measuring system to the frame, and a rest position, where the measuring system is mechanically disengaged from the frame.

A jaw (1) for clamping a wheel rim comprises a body (2) extending along a longitudinal orientation (L). The body (2) includes: a connecting portion (22) configured to be connected to the head of the wheel-holder unit; a base portion (21) extending along the longitudinal orientation (L); a first abutment wall (23) extending from the base portion (21) along a clamping orientation (R); a second abutment wall (24) extending from the base portion (21) along the clamping orientation (R) in a spacing-apart direction (VA) and longitudinally spaced from the first abutment wall (23) by a working distance (DL); an abutment surface (251), longitudinally interposed between the first abutment surface (23) and the second abutment surface (24) and including a first portion (251A) and a second portion (251B, 251C), disposed at an advanced position relative to the first portion (251A) in the spacing-apart direction (VA) of the clamping orientation (R) to come into contact with the wheel rim. The second portion is spaced from the first abutment wall (23) along the longitudinal orientation (L) by a first abutment distance (D1), greater than 30% of the working distance (DL).

A tyre dismounting apparatus adapted to be installed on a motor vehicle comprises: a base configured to be fixed to the motor vehicle; a frame, hinged to the base and tiltable about a tilting axis between a rest position and a working position; a tilting actuator connected to the base and to the frame to move the frame relative to the base; a wheel-holder unit configured to receive a wheel and lock it in place and rotating about an axis of rotation to drive the wheel in rotation about the axis of rotation; a longitudinal actuator connected to the frame and configured to move the wheel-holder unit along a longitudinal axis having at least one component in a vertical direction, parallel to the direction of the weight force; a working unit connected to the frame and including a rod and a tool connected to the rod. The tyre dismounting apparatus comprises a transverse actuator connected to the working unit to move it translationally relative to the wheel-holder unit along a transverse axis parallel to the tilting axis of the frame.
TYRE CHANGING APPARATUS
A tyre changing apparatus (1) for demounting and mounting a tyre relative to a respective rim of a vehicle wheel (2) comprises: a frame (10); a chuck (11), connected to the frame (10) to rotate about an axis of rotation (A); a working tool (12), connected to the frame (10) and movable towards and away from the chuck; an electric motor (13), connected to the chuck (11) to impart a rotation speed and a working torque to it; a controller (14), including a power unit (141) configured to supply voltage and current as a function of a drive signal (101); a processing unit (142) configured to generate the drive signal (101) and programmed to derive a control parameter (102) representing the working torque delivered to the electric motor (13) and to apply a torque-limiting function as a function of the control parameter (102). The processing unit (142) is programmed to derive an activation parameter and, as a function of the activation parameter, to switch between an activated configuration, in which the torque-limiting function is enabled, and a deactivated configuration in which the torque-limiting function is disabled.

The processing unit (142) derives an activation parameter and, as a function of the activation parameter, enables and disables the torque-limiting function.

The tire-changing machine (1) for trucks comprises a bearing frame (2), at least a work unit (3) associated with the frame (2), having at least a supporting element (4) for supporting a wheel which can be operated in rotation around a substantially horizontal first axis (5) and also having a balancing device (10) of the wheel, at least a tool (8) associated with the frame (2) for the removal of the wheel tire, at least one of the supporting element (4) and the tool (8) being mobile with respect to the other in the direction of reciprocal close/away movement and wherein the work unit (3) is connected mobile in rotation to the frame (2) around a second axis (12) of rotation, the supporting element (4) and the balancing device (10) rotating integrally to one another around the second axis (12).
