A pneumatic tire is provided in which an inner tie rubber layer and an outer tie rubber layer are selectively disposed between a carcass layer and an innerliner layer in a region on both sides in a tire width direction excluding a center region of a tread portion. End portions of the inner tie rubber layer and outer tie rubber layer on a tire equator side are disposed within a range of from 10 mm to 25 mm on an inner side in the tire width direction from an end portion on an outermost side in the tire width direction of a belt layer. A rubber thickness t1 of the inner tie rubber layer differs from a rubber thickness t2 of the outer tie rubber layer. A rubber thickness of the outer tie rubber layer is from 120% to 200% a rubber thickness of the inner tie rubber layer.

Provided are a pneumatic tire and a method for manufacturing the pneumatic tire. A partial tie rubber layer is selectively disposed in each region between a carcass layer and an innerliner layer and on both sides in a tire lateral direction of a tread portion excluding a center region of the tread portion. End portions on both sides of the partial tie rubber layers in the tire lateral direction form inclined surfaces acutely angled with respect to a surface of the partial tie rubber layer on the carcass layer side. The inclined surfaces have an inclination angle from 20° to 60° with respect to the surface of the partial tie rubber layer on the carcass layer side.

The pneumatic tire includes: a pair of bead portions; a pair of sidewall portions; a tread portion; a carcass; a reinforcing rubber layer, a tire widthwise cross-section of the reinforcing rubber layer having a substantially crescent shape; an inclined belt including at least one inclined belt layer formed by a plurality of cords extending at an inclination to a tire circumferential direction and covered with rubber; and an inner liner provided on an inner peripheral surface of a tire body in at least the tread portion. In a tire widthwise cross-sectional view, an edge of the inner liner is positioned farther outward in the tire radial direction than a tire maximum width position of the pneumatic tire and farther inward in the tire radial direction than a perpendicular from a tire widthwise edge of the inclined belt to the inner peripheral surface of the tire body.

Pneumatic tire having reinforcing members and air barrier layer

A method of preparing a tire including the steps of: providing a cured tire, the tire including a first bead, a second bead, a carcass layer extending from the first bead to the second bead, and an optional innerliner layer disposed interior to the carcass layer; applying a pair of reinforcing members to the carcass layer or to the optional innerliner layer, if present; and applying an air barrier composition to the pair of reinforcing members, and to a portion of the carcass layer or to a portion of the optional innerliner layer to thereby form an air barrier layer.

Provided is a pneumatic tire, which includes a tread portion having an annular shape and extending in a tire circumferential direction, a pair of sidewall portions disposed on both sides of the tread portion, a pair of bead portions disposed on inner sides of the pair of sidewall portions in a tire radial direction, and a band-like sound absorbing member bonded to an inner surface of the tread portion along the tire circumferential direction. The band-like sound absorbing member includes a plurality of cuts in an outer circumferential surface of the band-like sound absorbing member. At least one end of each of the cuts terminates within the band-like sound absorbing member.

Pneumatic tire for a motorcycle

The pneumatic tire 1 for a motorcycle comprises a tread portion 2 comprising a belt layer 7, an inner liner layer 9 made of air impermeable rubber and arranged radially inside the belt layer 7, and a sealant layer 10 attached to a radially inner surface (9a) of the inner liner layer 9. The sealant layer 10 comprises a crown portion 10A arranged at a center thereof in a tire axial direction and a pair of shoulder portions 10B arranged on both sides of the crown portion 10A in the tire axial direction. Viscosity μ2 of the shoulder portions 10B is larger than viscosity μ1 of the crown portion 10A.

Inflatable tubeless tire

An inflatable tubeless tire includes a carcass, a bead at the lower edge of both sides of the carcass; a cladding layer, continuously covering the bead from the exterior to the interior of the carcass, and both ends of the cladding layer having an overlapped portion between each carcass and a tread and continuously extending to form an external covered portion for covering an area from the outer surface to the bead, and the portion of both sides of the cladding layer covering the interior of the carcass being an internal covered portion, and the uncovered position in the carcass being an elastic portion, and each inner surface in the carcass and the cladding layer jointly forming a gas chamber; at least a separator, partially disposed on a wall surface of the gas chamber for isolating each elastic portion and the inner surface without sticking to one another of the carcass; an air valve module, passing between each opening and the through hole, and having a film fixed to the elastic portion; and an extending part, passing through each film, the cladding layer and the separator; a screw, with an end screwed into the extending part; and the screw having an air valve part therein.

Pneumatic tire

A pneumatic tire includes a tread portion, sidewall portions, bead portions, and has at least one carcass layer disposed between the pair of bead portions. The ratio SW/OD between the total tire width SW and the tire external diameter OD satisfies the relationship SW/OD0.3. A first region A is defined between a pair of first boundary lines (L1, L1), second regions B are defined between a first boundary line (L1) and a second boundary line (L2), and third regions C are defined on the bead toe side of the second boundary lines (L2). Defining SA, SB, and SC as the cross-sectional area (mm.sup.2) of the first region A to the third region C, and defining the peripheral lengths (mm) of the first region A to third region C along the tire inner surface as a, b, and c, respectively, the relationship 7.5SA/a11.5 is satisfied.
