Safety chain system
A safety chain system that includes a drawbar hanger. The drawbar hanger includes a drawbar frame that defines a first aperture. A drawbar rests within the first aperture. A safety chain anchor also rests within the first aperture. The safety chain anchor defines a second aperture. The second aperture receives a safety chain. The safety chain anchor is able to slide in and out of the first aperture.
Remotely releasable tow line assembly and method for using the same
A remotely releasable tow line is provided. The tow line has a releasable latch at a distal end that is removably connected to a race car. The releasable latch is operatively associated with a cable handle adjacent to a proximal end of the tow line. Accordingly, a user disposed on a tow vehicle, to which the proximal end is connected, may manipulate the cable handle so that the release latch disconnects from the race car, in such a way that while the race car is still being towed it is unhooked from the tow vehicle, thereby saving time in getting the race car in a pit area where the race car can be tended to before its soon-approaching next race.
Controlled-flexing trailer hitch system and method
A controlled-flexing trailer hitch system and method to facilitate vehicle-to-trailer attachment and maneuvering by providing a flexible state during attachment, detachment, and low-speed maneuvering of a trailer, and automatic change to a fixed in-line state upon the in-line pulling of the trailer, by providing disengageable spring-return stiffening members and a flexible segmented towing member, where the spring-return stiffening members can be disengaged to allow flexible movement of the flexible towing member, and where, upon commencement of the in-line pulling of the trailer, the spring-return stiffening members engage to place the controlled-flexing trailer hitch into a fixed in-line state.
Recovery rope assembly and bearing swivel hitch
There is a bearing swivel hitch comprising a housing and a mount. The inside of the housing is aligned with a plurality of bearings such that when the mount is inserted into the housing, the mount can rotate 360 degrees. There is a recovery rope assembly comprising at least two materials interwoven together with a first material substantially along a standing portion of the recovery rope assembly and a second material substantially along at least one working end of the recovery rope assembly. At the working end of the recovery rope assembly, there is a noose and a knob/knot which allows the working end to form a releasable end loop by mating the noose with the knob/knot.
Current supply system for a team of vehicles
A current supply system of a team vehicle includes a towing vehicle operable in a cable-interconnected manner and an agricultural rear-mounted device coupled to the towing vehicle. The agricultural rear-mounted device has working equipment for performing a ground processing function. A base mast is allocated to the towing vehicle for producing a cable connection to a current supply interface of a first team vehicle that is travelling ahead, and an additional mast includes a further current supply interface allocated to the agricultural rear-mounted device for producing a further cable connection to a second team vehicle that is following. The additional mast is downstream of the working equipment of the agricultural rear-mounted device when viewed in a forward direction of travel of the team vehicle.
MOTORCYCLE CONNECTING STRAP
Connecting straps for use for example in sports activities and methods of attaching the connecting straps. In one example, a connecting Y-strap for connecting two motorcycles together includes a body portion including a webbing sleeve and a band of elastic material disposed within the webbing sleeve, the band of elastic material being secured to the webbing material at each of a first end and a second end of the body portion, and first and second peg strap portions extending in a Y configuration from the first end of the body portion. Each of the first and second peg strap portions may have a peg loop formed at respective distal ends of the first and second peg strap portions. Examples of the connecting Y-strap may further include a strap length extending from the second end of the body portion, the strap length having an end loop at its distal end.
Towing assembly
The invention relates to a towing assembly that is used in towing operations to avoid damage or injury to persons when a soft tow apparatus, such as a tow strap, tow rope, or cable, fails during vehicle recovery operations. The assembly comprises: (a) a recovery strap that can be connected to a towing vehicle and a vehicle to be towed; (b) a diffuser strap that can be connected to a towing vehicle and a vehicle to be towed and (c) two or more sleeves disposed on the diffuser strap. The diffuser strap captures and dissipates the kinetic and potential energy that is released when the recovery strap breaks.
Anhydrous Ammonia Trailer Hitch
An anhydrous ammonia trailer hitch incorporating a base; a vehicle mounting receiver hitch fixedly attached to and extending forwardly from the base; a bolt mounted to the base, the bolt being adapted for moving between latching and releasing positions; a release plate having a first eye fitted for receiving the bolt, the bolt extending into the eye upon movement to the latching position; a remotely actuatable linear motion actuator connected operatively to the bolt for moving the bolt between the latching and releasing position; a tongue mount fixedly attached to the release plate; and at least a first safety chain mount fixedly attached to the release plate.
SAFETY CHAIN ATTACHMENT
An attachment for use with a safety chain which has a leading link and a following link, the attachment having a clevis with first and second lateral side sections and an opening between the side sections into which a leading end of the leading link is receivable; and a pin receivable by the first and second side sections so as to extend across the opening to couple the leading link to the clevis and a portion of the clevis defined between the first and second sections has a configuration complementary to a configuration of the leading end of the leading link; and/or portions of the first and second side sections have configurations complementary to configurations of portions of a leading end of the following link, such that there is a close fit between the clevis and chain when the leading link is coupled to the clevis by the pin member.
Vehicular hitch mounted winch
The vehicular hitch mounted winch is a winch mounting system for vehicles. The vehicular hitch mounted winch provides a structure upon which a winch is mounted. The vehicular hitch mounted winch is readily attached to the trailer hitch of an automobile and can be readily removed. The vehicular hitch mounted winch has mounted on it a plurality of lights that can be used to light the work area where the winch is in use. The vehicular hitch mounted winch also has a hitch receiver, which allows the use of a trailer when the vehicular hitch mounted winch is attached to the vehicle. The vehicular hitch mounted winch comprises an adapter post, a receiving post, a mounting platform, and a plurality of lights.
