CARRYING RACK CONNECTING DEVICE
A carrying rack connecting device is provided, including: an insertion assembly, configured to be connected with a hitch; an urging mechanism, including a pin, a driving member and at least one urging member, the pin configured to pin the insertion assembly and the hitch, the driving member being connected to the insertion assembly and movable between a release position and an urging position, the driving member including an urging portion, the at least one urging member being swingably connected to the insertion assembly and including an urged portion, the urged portion and the urging portion partially overlapping, wherein when the driving member moves from the release position toward the urging position, the urging portion urges the urged portion to move the at least one urging member to swing outward so that the at least one urging member is urgingly abutted against the hitch.
Apparatus and method for reducing hitch rattle
A silencer assembly for trailer hitches and a method of use thereof. The silencer assembly includes a sheet of material that is durable, abrasion-resistant, wear-resistant, ultra-violet light resistant, and sound dampening. An adhesive is applied to a bottom surface of the sheet which is then placed on a portion of the drawbar that is selectively receivable in a bore of receiver tube of the trailer hitch. The adhesive fixedly secures the sheet to the drawbar. The drawbar is inserted into the receiver bore. The sheet occupies part of a gap defined between an exterior surface of the drawbar and an interior surface of the receiver tube reducing relative movement between the drawbar and the receiver tube, and thereby reducing rattling noises. An additional sheet of material and one or more shims may be used to further reduce the gap between the drawbar and receiver tube, and thereby further reduce rattling.
Anti-Rattle Hitch Tightener
A hitch tightener is used around the lip of a hitch receiver tube and a shank inserted into the hitch receiver tube. The hitch tightener has a U-bolt with two threaded legs, and a crossbar with throughholes for the legs of the U-bolt, positioned so the crossbar and the U-bolt encircle the shank and the receiver tube lip. A standard threaded nut holds the crossbar onto one of the legs, and a cam lock lever is pivotally attached on the other leg by a threaded trunnion nut. When the cam lock lever is pivoted from its opened position to its closed position, it moves the crossbar toward the connecting portion of the clamp component, tightening the hitch tightener around shank and lip.
Hitch vibration dampener
A hitch vibration dampener assembly and method of use thereof including a tow mount member including a base portion with a vibration dampener pad affixed to the back surface such that coupling of the tow mount member by locked engagement of at least one elongated pin successively received through paired side holes disposed in flanges of a hitch platform channel compresses vibration dampener pad upon the back panel of the hitch platform to thereby reduce the movement between the tow mount member and hitch assembly.
Multiple hitch assembly
A multiple hitch assembly and method of use thereof including a hitch platform having a channel member and multiple hitch member having a block base. A dampening member may be affixed such that coupling of the multiple hitch member by locked engagement of received through holes of the block base and paired side holes disposed in flanges of the channel member compresses the dampening member upon the recessed column of the hitch platform to absorb and thus attenuate the load and associated torque imparted by movement and rub between the hitch platform and multiple hitch member to thereby reduce associated rattle noise, and vibration.
Anti-rattle device for vehicle hitches
A vehicle hitch insert, assembly, and system are disclosed. As part of the system, a hitch receiver is coupled to a vehicle. A hitch receiver cover is coupled to the hitch receiver and includes a lateral side that defines at least one receiver cover opening with a first diameter. Further, a hitch insert includes a substantially U-shaped main body that is slidably coupled to a lateral side of a hitch receiver cover. The main body includes a first wall defining a plurality of hitch insert openings that partially overlap with one another, with each hitch insert opening having a second diameter, a second wall connected to the first wall at a first joint, and a third wall connected to the second wall at a second joint. In use, a fastener extends through the at least one receiver cover opening and one of the plurality of hitch insert openings.
Vibration minimization towing hitch
A vibration minimization towing hitch includes a shank attachable into the receiver tube the towing vehicle, and a separately formed head, such as for supporting a tow ball. The head is pivotable through a partial range of motion relative to the head, such as allowing the tow ball to pivot up to 7° downward or up to 3° upward. One or more compressible inserts are disposed in a pocket between the shank and the head, for resisting the limited pivotal motion of the head relative to the shank. A user performs a part of the assembly using two insertable pins or bolts, with insertion of the second pin compressing a compressible bumper which is separate from the insert(s).
Vehicle Accessory Connectable to a Vehicle
A vehicle accessory connectable to a vehicle. The vehicle accessory may include sequences of dots and dashes represents letters of the alphabet. The vehicle accessory may be a carrier for carrying an object. The carrier may include a hitch connector operable to be inserted into a hitch receiver, a first arm, a second arm, and a pivot joint connecting the first and second arms. The carrier may include a collar disposed in association with the pivot joint and a protrusion disposed in association with the collar. The carrier may include a support bracket whose vertical position along the first arm is adjustable. The hitch connector may include a bar, a wedge, a threaded rod extending away from the bar and through the wedge, and a threaded member configured to move axially along the threaded rod forcing the wedge to slide diagonally along the bar.
Drawbar and hitch receiver movement eliminating systems
A drawbar and hitch receiver movement eliminating system has three main embodiments, each very similar and functioning with the same operational characteristics though they vary slightly in structural characteristics. Each embodiment has a means for the drawbar to push outwardly against the face of the receiver to eliminate the typical movement of the drawbar within the receiver caused by the standard clearances between the two, thereby considerably reducing the amplified swaying movement of the trailer that is caused by the small movements of the drawbar within the receiver.
