In the case of a trailer coupling for motor vehicles, including a cross member, which is connectable to a motor vehicle body, and a bearing unit, which carries a ball neck that at a first end is connected to the bearing unit and at a second end carries a coupling ball, and a holding base, which carries the bearing unit and is connected to the cross member, it is proposed according to the invention that the holding base should have a flange unit, for receiving the bearing unit, and two holding elements that project from the flange unit and in so doing run at a spacing from one another and act on the cross member.

ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A TOWING HOOK ORIFICE COVERING PLATE AND A SKIN

An assembly is provided. The assembly comprises a towing hook orifice covering plate (10) and a skin (20), wherein the towing hook orifice covering plate comprises a covering plate modeling surface (10a) facing the outside of a bumper and a covering plate structural surface (10b) facing the inside of the bumper. The covering plate structural surface has oppositely arranged rotary lugs (13a, 13b) that are perpendicular to the covering plate structural surface and extend therefrom, and the rotary lugs have arc surfaces (131a, 131b) away from the covering plate structural surface. The skin (2) has grooves (21a, 21 b) for accommodating the rotary lugs, and the grooves comprise first arc sections (211a, 211b), linear sections (212a, 212b) and second arc sections (213a, 213b), wherein the linear sections are located between the first arc sections and the second arc sections. The assembly has a rotating axis defined by the rotary lugs and solves the interference problem in the prior art by changing the position of the rotating axis. The assembly maintains the vehicle outlook by not changing the appearance of the covering plate modeling surface, and can satisfy the requirements for the opening of the towing hook orifice covering plate and for the gap between the towing hook orifice covering plate and the skin.

ATTACHMENT PLATE AND TOWING LUG COMBINATION FOR A COMPOSITE BUMPER BEAM AND COMPOSITE CRUSH CAN ASSEMBLY

An attachment plate and towing lug combination for a vehicle having a crush can and a bumper beam includes a plate and a towing lug. The plate has a central portion and a flange portion. The towing lug is attached to the central portion of the plate and extends from an outer surface of the central portion of the plate. The flange portion of the plate is attachable to an end portion of the crush can. The central portion of the plate is attachable to a first side portion of the bumper beam. The towing lug extends to at least an outer surface of a second side portion of the bumper beam when the flange portion of the plate is attached to the end portion of the crush can and the central portion of the plate is attached to the first side portion of the bumper beam.

In order to solve the problem, in the case of a trailer coupling comprising a ball neck supporting a coupling ball, and also comprising a socket receptacle for a socket for the power supply of units acting on the coupling ball, the socket having a socket housing with a housing sleeve, which is provided with an insertion opening, and the insertion opening being closable by a cover that is mounted pivotably on the housing sleeve, of being able to mount the sockets as conveniently and easily as possible, it is proposed that the socket receptacle has a receiving channel, into which the housing sleeve extends starting from a first side of the socket receptacle, that the housing sleeve bears against the first side of the socket receptacle via a bearing surface, and that the housing sleeve is fixed to the socket receptacle by a retaining element, which is fitted starting from a second side of the socket receptacle and which is supported on the socket receptacle and is connected to the housing sleeve by a latched connection.
