MULTI-AXIS CONTROL OF CONTROL VALVES IN A HI-RAIL DEVICE
20230264532 · 2023-08-24 ·

An apparatus and a method for controlling sequential unlocking, deployment or retraction, and locking of a hi-rail gear unit. There is a valve system in which some of the valves are configured to actuate a deployment cylinder that deploys or retracts the hi-rail device, wherein some of the valves are configured to actuate a locking cylinder that locks or unlocks the hi-rail gear unit deployed or retracted; said actuations being independent from each other. A multi-axis controller is connected to the valve system and has a rod configured to move freely by pivoting, the positions of the first multi-axis controller including a first lock position, a first unlock position, a first engaged position and a first disengaged position. A guiding forces the rod along a locking axis prior to permitting movement of the rod along a deployment axis to force unlocking before deployment or retraction.

Amphibian

An amphibious motorcycle with a hull that provides desirable buoyancy for the vehicle to float while in the water and yet allows the vehicle to lean/turn during use on land is provided. The amphibious motorcycle has a front wheel with a front suspension system and a rear wheel with a rear suspension system. Also included can be at least one wheel retraction system that is operable to move the front wheel and/or the rear wheel between a deployed position for use of the amphibious motorcycle on land and a retracted position for use of the amphibious motorcycle on or in the water. The amphibious motorcycle also has a hull that can have a center portion with a center bow and two oppositely disposed and spaced apart side portions each with a side bow.

Railroad trailer chassis

A railroad trailer chassis comprising two or more road axles, two or more rail axles operable to be moved between first and second positions, and a work unit. The railroad trailer chassis is operable to be driven or towed in a road mode when the two or rail axles are in their respective first positions. The railroad trailer chassis is operable to be driven or towed in a rail mode when the two or more rail axles are in their respective second positions. The work unit is operable to perform one or more railroad maintenance or operation functions when driven in the rail mode.

The present disclosure relates to a vessel that comprises at least one super structure configured to at least in part translate relative to said hull between a first position and at least one other position. The at least one superstructure in said first condition at least in part defines a first zone suitable for accommodating at least one person and/or vehicle, and the at least one superstructure in said second condition at least in part defines a second zone suitable for accommodating at least one person and/or vehicle. Preferably the at least one superstructure at least in part separates the first and second zones. Preferably the vessel's centre of mass is aft of mid-ship in the first condition and forward of mid-ship in the second position.

The present invention relates to a vessel having a superstructure that is movable to increase and/or reduce space in one of at least two zones on the deck of the vessel. The invention further relates to an amphibious vehicle having motive pods that move in an athwartship direction and then downwardly when the motive pods are deployed. The invention further provides for a ramp arrangement for a vessel that allows for an increased amount of deck space, and facilitates ingress and/or egress from the vessel by cargo or passengers.
