Independent Corner Module
An embodiment independent corner module includes a knuckle unit positioned on an inner side surface of a wheel, a steering unit disposed to face a strut coupled to the knuckle unit, the steering unit having a center shaft configured to be fixed to a vehicle body and configured to rotate about the center shaft, a guide rail configured to define a movement path through which the steering unit rotates and moves, and a rack steering unit positioned in the steering unit, fastened to the knuckle unit, and configured to apply rotating force to the knuckle unit in response to a movement in a longitudinal direction.
Transmitting axial and rotational movement to a hub
In one aspect of the present disclosure, a combined suspension and steering module is disclosed that is positionable between an in-hub motor and a body of a vehicle. The module includes a housing, an actuator connected to the housing and including first and second components, and a steering system that is in mechanical cooperation with the actuator to rotate at least one of the first and second components in relation to the housing. The second component is axially movable in relation to the first component and is configured for connection to the in-hub motor to transmit rotational force from the actuator to the in-hub motor to cause angular displacement of the in-hub motor to thereby steer the vehicle.
Chassis
A sport-wheeled chassis is provided for connecting to a mobility device, which comprises a suspension set up under the bottom of the mobility device, a steering pivotally connected to the suspension, a controller connected to the suspension and steering electrically, tires which are pivotally connected to the steering and disposed under the steering, and a steering shaft of the steering which coincides axially with the steering shaft of the tire so that the controller can operate the turning direction of the tire and the height of the suspension through the suspension and the steering. The chassis is not only with a simple structure, but also with a suspension to control the height of the chassis off the ground, so that the chassis can maintain stability in any rugged environment, and, with its attached wheels, the chassis can move to desired places fast and accurately.
Wheelchair structure and suspension assembly
The present invention relates to wheelchair improvements and, in particular, to a wheelchair including a monocoque structural skin according to one aspect, and a suspension assembly according to another aspect.
KNUCKLE FOR A SELF-STEERING AXLE/SUSPENSION SYSTEM
A knuckle for a heavy-duty vehicle self-steering axle/suspension system that includes integrally formed structure for mounting components of a drum brake system. The knuckle includes a spindle that is welded directly to the knuckle and a discrete tie rod arm bolted to the knuckle.
Roll induced four wheel steering vehicle
The four wheel steering vehicle utilizes a cage system that extends along the longitudinal axis to protect the driver coupled to a center rail chassis. Front and Back independent suspension links extend outward along the lateral axis pivotally connected to the wheel assemblies enabling four wheel independent suspension. A centrally located pivoting shock provides both steering control and suspension attachment for the shock and spring. The vehicle is controlled by the driver using a steering wheel, acceleration pedal, and a brake pedal. The invention provides a feeling of integration with the vehicle as the driver rolls into turns with the vehicle, while minimizing fatigue caused by the continuous resistance to centrifugal cornering forces.
Booster steering lock and load relief control system
A booster for a trailer system is provided comprising a control system in communication with a sensor(s) for determining the direction and speed of the booster when in motion. The control system comprises instructions corresponding to one or more booster operations such as: detection of a reverse state, retraction of a suspension system when the reverse state is detected; engagement of a steer axle lock when the reverse state is detected; detection of a forward state; extension of the suspension system when the forward state is detected; disengagement of the steer axle lock when the forward state is detected; detection of a high-speed forward state; engagement of the steer axle lock when the high-speed forward state is detected; detection of a low-speed forward state; and disengagement of the steer axle lock when the low-speed forward state is detected.
APPARATUS FOR MEASURING STEERING ANGLE
An apparatus for measuring the steering angle of a wheel assembly including a suspended wheel mount and at least one suspension arm, the apparatus including a reference bracket, a rotating bracket and an angle sensor, the reference bracket and the rotating bracket each respectively including a measurement end and a mounting end, wherein the measurement ends of the reference and rotating brackets are rotatably coupled about a rotation coupling point such that the brackets can rotate with respect to one another, wherein the mounting end of the rotating bracket is coupled with the suspended wheel mount and the mounting end of the reference bracket is coupled with the suspension arm, and wherein the mounting end of the reference bracket is positioned on a plane defined by a steering axis of the suspend-wheel mount and a rotation axis between the suspension arm and the suspended wheel mount.
