Suspension linkage cover
A vehicle is provided that has a vehicle body, a wheel assembly, a suspension linkage, and a cover panel. The vehicle body has an underside and defines a wheel arch that forms an opening in the underside of the vehicle body. The suspension linkage runs within the wheel arch and couples the wheel assembly to the vehicle body to permit motion of the rotation axis of the wheel assembly relative to the vehicle body. The suspension linkage further comprises a first suspension link coupled between the vehicle body and the wheel assembly, whereby the cover panel is coupled to the first suspension link so that the cover panel moves with the first suspension link. The cover panel further extends across part of the opening so that in forward motion the cover panel directs a rearward moving airflow across the opening.
Rolling type vehicle
A rolling type vehicle includes a pair of left and right front wheels and has a vehicle body capable of rolling. The rolling type vehicle includes a pair of left and right arm members supported in a swingable manner by the vehicle body on inner sides in the transverse direction for supporting the left and right front wheels in a steerable manner on outer sides in the transverse direction. A pair of left and right knuckle members are supported by transversely outer end portions of the left and right arm members in a swingable manner and which are steered together with the left and right front wheels, respectively. A regulating member for regulating the turning angle of each front wheel is provided between the transversely outer end portion of at least one of the left and right arm members and the knuckle member supported by the transversely outer end portion.
Vehicle axle having a centrally arranged drive unit
A vehicle axle with a centrally arranged drive unit and a wheel suspension which has a wheel carrier for holding a wheel, a lower wheel-guiding control arm for the articulated connection of the carrier to a vehicle body, a camber link that connects the carrier to the body and steering unit for steering the wheel. The carrier and control arm are connected directly, in a first connection area, and indirectly via an integral link, in a second connection area, so that the carrier can pivot relative to the control arm about a steering axis. The control arm can be connected to the body in forward and rear areas, and has a rotational axis that extends obliquely relative to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. All connection areas of the control arm are positioned outside the centrally arranged drive unit relative to the transverse direction of the vehicle.
Wheel suspension for a motor vehicle
A wheel suspension (1) for a motor vehicle that has a wheel carrier (2) for holding a wheel (3), a wheel-guiding control arm (4) for the articulated connection of the wheel carrier (2) to a body (6), and steering member (8) for steering the wheel (3). The wheel carrier (2) and the wheel-guiding control arm (4) are directly connected, in a first connection area (20), and indirectly connected, in a second connection area (21), by an integral link (5) so that, relative to the wheel-guiding control arm (4), the wheel carrier (2) can pivot about a steering axis. The wheel suspension is characterized by a chassis element (12) that is articulated on a body side and is directly connected to the wheel carrier (2).
REAR AXLE FOR A TWO-TRACK VEHICLE AND TWO-TRACK VEHICLE WITH A REAR AXLE
A rear axle for a two-track vehicle includes a first trailing arm, a first wheel carrier with a first wheel center and a first longitudinal strut, which form a first coupling mechanism that is effective in a longitudinal and/or a vertical direction of the vehicle. A second trailing arm and a second wheel carrier with a second wheel center and a second longitudinal strut form a second coupling mechanism that is effective in a longitudinal and/or a vertical direction of the vehicle, and a crossmember is firmly connected to the first trailing arm and to the second trailing arm and has a shear center. The first coupling mechanism has a first instantaneous center of rotation located on the front side and above the first wheel center, and the second coupling mechanism has a second instantaneous center of rotation located on the front side and above the second wheel center. A two-track vehicle having a chassis or an underbody includes such a rear axle arranged on the chassis or on the underbody.
Tilting car frame
A tilting car frame comprising a lower center frame including a horizontal member, a first support member, a second support member, and first and second horizontal link members each having a vertical link. A rotation center axis support extends from a center of the horizontal member. A first variable length lever link is slidably connected to the first support member and is facing the rotation center axis support, and a second variable length lever link is slidably connected to an end of the second support member that is facing the rotation center axis support. A rotating member having first and second extension members is rotatably connected to the rotation center axis support, wherein the first extension member is hinged to an end of a first variable length link member, and the second extension member is hinged to an end of a second variable length link member.
Leaning vehicle
A leaning vehicle includes an actuator, a left steerable front wheel, a right steerable front wheel, a steering mechanism and a leaning mechanism. The steering mechanism includes a first center steering shaft, a second center steering shaft disposed at the front side of the first center steering shaft, and a center steering shaft rotation interlocking mechanism that interlocks rotation of the first center steering shaft with rotation of the second center steering shaft. The actuator is provided between a left end and a right end of a link member of the leaning mechanism in the left-right direction. At least one part of the actuator is provided at a position that overlaps with a movable range of the center steering shaft rotation interlocking mechanism as viewed from the up direction or the down direction.
