Adjusting vehicle ride height based on predicted collision
A vehicle may receive sensor data captured by a sensor of the vehicle, determine that the sensor data represents an object in the environment, and determine an impact location between the vehicle and the object. The impact location may be associated with a predicted collision between the vehicle and the object. The vehicle may also determine an object type corresponding to the object and/or a characteristic of the object. Based at least in part on the impact location, object type, and/or the characteristic, a ride height of the vehicle may be adjusted.

Method and system for estimating vehicle body tilt
Vehicle body tilt, representing a difference between a vehicle body frame of reference and a wheel-base frame of reference, is determined by obtaining information from sensor assemblies for the vehicle body and for the wheel-base. Navigational solutions are generated for the sensor assemblies using motion sensor data from the assemblies and absolute navigational information. Correspondingly, vehicle body tilt is determined based at least in part on the vehicle body navigation solution and the wheel-base navigation solution.

The present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for controlling an electronic control suspension using a deep learning-based road surface classification model. The method for controlling an electronic control suspension in a vehicle including a camera and a GPS receiver may include collecting location information of the vehicle using the GPS receiver while driving, identifying whether there is a previously generated road surface classification model corresponding to a front obstacle when the front obstacle is detected, determining a first control value based on a first characteristic value corresponding to the road surface classification model when there is the road surface classification model as a result of the identification, controlling the electronic control suspension with the determined first control value when entering the obstacle, and collecting new sensing data through a physical sensor, and correcting the first characteristic value based on the new sensing data.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE AND VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM
A vehicle control device includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire detection information in a current traveling state and position information indicating a current position of a vehicle, a transmission unit configured to transmit traveling information in which the detection information and the position information are associated with each other to an external management device, a reception unit configured to receive changed specification information of the vehicle transmitted when the management device determines that specifications of the vehicle need to be changed, and a control unit configured to change the specifications of the vehicle corresponding to the specification information and reflect the changed specifications in traveling control. The specification information includes specifications changed based on comparison between first traveling information that is current traveling information of the vehicle and second traveling information obtained when the vehicle has previously traveled at a same position.

A system for minimizing data transmission latency between a sensor and a suspension controller of a vehicle is described. The system includes: a state determination module that determines a physical state of the vehicle; a plurality of data paths for transmitting a first signal from the sensor to the suspension controller; a data path configurator of the controller that selects a first data path of the plurality of data paths based on at least one characteristic of the first data path and the physical state and configures the first data path to transmit the first signal; and an actuation module that generates an actuation signal to control a damping characteristic of the suspension actuator based on at least the first signal.
VEHICLE POSITION ESTIMATION METHOD AND VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM
A vehicle position estimation method includes: acquiring time-series data of a parameter related to a vertical motion of a wheel while the vehicle is traveling; acquiring the parameter around the vehicle, as a reference parameter, from a parameter map indicating a correspondence relationship between the parameter and a position; estimating a vehicle position based on a comparison between the time-series data of the parameter and time-series data of the reference parameter. Meanwhile, road surface roughness around the vehicle in a lateral direction and a lateral position of the vehicle in a road are recognized by using a recognition sensor installed on the vehicle. When the road surface roughness is less than a threshold, a lateral position component of the estimated vehicle position is replaced with the lateral position recognized by using the recognition sensor.
