STEERING FUNCTION-EQUIPPED HUB UNIT
Provided is a steering function-equipped hub unit for steering a rear wheel configured to be supported by a suspension device including a torsion beam and a pair of trailing arms. The hub unit includes: a turning shaft-equipped hub bearing including a turning shaft extending in a vertical direction and configured to rotatably support the rear wheel; a unit support member supporting the turning shaft-equipped hub bearing such that the turning shaft-equipped hub bearing is rotatable about a turning axis; and a steering actuator separate from the unit support member and configured to rotationally drive the turning shaft-equipped hub bearing. The steering actuator is attached to the suspension device at a position higher than a lowermost surface of the torsion beam and between a rotation support part of the suspension device and the turning shaft-equipped hub bearing.
SUSPENSION AND TRACTION SYSTEM
A suspension and traction system is described for a vehicle equipped with a frame and a propulsive element (92) by rolling on the ground. An electric actuator (M3) is used for determining a steering angle () of the propulsive element.
Wheel steering system
A wheel steering system is provided that improves an environment of an actuator being mounted and reduces changes in toe angles of wheels at the time of a suspension stroke. The system includes: right and left hub carriers supported by a rear suspension mechanism; right and left tie rods having outer ends in a vehicle width direction thereof pivotally connected to the right and left hub carriers; and a Watts link having inner ends in the vehicle width direction of the right and left tie rod pivotally attached thereto so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis, wherein the actuator and the Watts link are arranged above springs, and the Watts link is connected with the actuator so as to be displaceable substantially along the vehicle width direction when a driving force of the actuator is inputted to the Watts link.

OPERATING INTERACTIONS BETWEEN ACTUATOR SETS
Aspects of the present invention relate to a control system (100, 200) for a vehicle suspension system (300) of a vehicle (600). The control system comprises one or more controllers. The control system is configured to: determine that a first subsystem (302) of the plurality of connected subsystems is operating in a de-rated mode in response to a subsystem operating condition of the first subsystem being outside a predetermined operating window; and in dependence on determining that the first subsystem is operating in the de-rated mode, transmit a de-rate indicator to a further subsystem (304, 306) of the plurality of connected subsystems, wherein the de-rate indicator is configured to: indicate, to the further subsystem, that the first subsystem is operating in a de-rated mode; and cause the further subsystem to operate in a de-rate response mode, wherein the operation of the vehicle suspension system with the first subsystem operating in the de-rated mode and the further subsystem operating in the de-rate response mode provides a higher level of vehicle control in comparison to the vehicle suspension system operating with the first subsystem operating in the de-rated mode without the further subsystem operating in the de-rate response mode.
