Various suspension systems for vehicles are described that preferably comprise a multi-link suspension where one or more of the links can move independently of the other links. The multiple independent links are connected to an upright, vertical load reaction that is decoupled from horizontal load reaction, thus delivering a more comfortable ride and reduced feedback to the driver or operator of the vehicle. By eliminating that external feedback using the inventive subject matter discussed herein, vehicles can be safer and easier to control in all circumstances.

CHASSIS FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH VARIABLY ADJUSTABLE RIDE HEIGHT

A chassis for use in a motor vehicle with variably adjustable drive height includes a subframe assembly for fastening wheel suspensions of the motor vehicle, and a plurality of control arms for guiding a wheel carrier. The control arms are fastened to the subframe assembly via control arm attachment points. A plurality of eccentric adjustment devices are provided for adjusting the toe-in and the basic camber of the motor vehicle. An insert element is provided for receiving an eccentric adjustment device. The insert element is arranged within the chassis in such a way that the position of at least one eccentric adjustment device can be varied by varying the arrangement of the insert element within the chassis.

A suspension for a leaning vehicle having a central frame, the central frame having a first longitudinal axis. The suspension includes a carrier assembly pivotably attached about a second longitudinal axis to the frame, the carrier assembly including a carrier body; a first spring and damper assembly pivotably mounted to a first side of the carrier body at a first end thereof; a second spring and damper assembly pivotably mounted to a second side of the carrier body at a first end thereof; a first bellcrank pivotably mounted to a first side of the carrier body at a second end thereof, the second end of the first spring and damper assembly also mounted to the first bellcrank; and a second bellcrank pivotably mounted to a second side of the carrier body at a second end thereof, the second end of the second spring and damper assembly also mounted to the second bellcrank; wherein the first and second bellcranks are pivoted about their attaching axes when the spring and damper assemblies are compressed; a pair of first upper connecting components; a pair of first lower connecting components; and a first suspension travel link and a second suspension travel link.

Independent linear suspension system

A work vehicle includes a chassis. An independent linear suspension system couples to the chassis. The independent linear suspension system includes a driveshaft that couples to the chassis and to a transmission. A wheel hub couples to the driveshaft and rotates a wheel in response to rotation of the driveshaft. A spindle couples to the wheel hub. A spindle carrier couples to the spindle. The spindle carrier defines a first aperture and a second aperture. A first pin extends through the first aperture. A second pin extends through the second aperture. The first pin and the second pin block rotation of the spindle carrier. The spindle carrier moves linearly along the first pin and the second pin.

ADAPTIVE TIRES TRACTION CONTROL
20230074160 · 2023-03-09 ·

An adaptive tire traction control system for motor vehicle tires for grip enhancement and rolling friction reduction. The tire surface area is radially divided into multiple zones, in the three zones configuration the tire is composed of an outer shoulder, centre and inner shoulder. The outer shoulder is equipped with a plurality of studs to increase the traction when vehicle is on icy or muddy surfaces. The centre part is made of low friction rubbers for the normal operation to increase fuel economy and lengthen the tires life, and reduced rolling noise. The inner shoulder is equipped with high grip rubber to provide better grip in case of emergency braking. In one embodiment, the tilting mechanism of the tire traction system can be connected to the anti-lock braking system (ABS). In case of emergency braking, the inner shoulder with high grip rubber is brought in contact with the ground to provide more grips.
