Relative guide device for a steering arrangement arranged on the wheel-carrier side
A relative guide device (1) for a steering arrangement (31) is arranged on the wheel-carrier side for the spatial guidance and maintenance of the relative spatial orientation of the steering arrangement (31) with respect to a vehicle body (40). At least one telescopic movement apparatus (2) for movably connecting the steering arrangement (31) is arranged on the wheel-carrier side to the vehicle body (40). A steering force transmission device (30) transmits a steering force to a wheel (R) of a vehicle having a relative guide device (1), and to a wheel suspension (50) for a vehicle.
Towable vehicle
A towable vehicle including a chassis, at least two wheels and a suspension assembly supporting each wheel. The suspension assembly includes a swing arm pivotally mounted to the chassis, an axle mounted proximate an end of the swing arm, the wheel being mounted on the axle, at least one shock absorber extending from the chassis to the swing arm, an airbag swing arm mounting pivotally coupled to the swing arm, an airbag chassis mounting coupled to the chassis, an airbag coupled to the airbag swing arm and airbag chassis mountings so that inflation of the airbag allows a suspension height to be adjusted over an operating range and a pivot arm pivotally mounted to the chassis and the airbag swing arm mounting to maintain an orientation of the airbag swing arm mounting over the operating range.
Wheel suspension for a utility vehicle
A wheel suspension for a vehicle includes: a steering knuckle support; a steering knuckle mounted at the steering knuckle support so as to be swivelable around a steering axis; a vehicle wheel mounted at the steering knuckle so as to be rotatable around a wheel rotational axis; and a plurality of links by which the steering knuckle support is articulated at a vehicle frame such that the steering knuckle support is moveable in a vertical direction of the vehicle relative to the vehicle frame. A first one of the links is configured as a first control arm configured as a four-bar link, and a second one of the links is configured as a second control arm arranged offset relative to the first link in the vertical direction of the vehicle, and wherein the second link is configured as a two-bar link that is adjustable in length.
ADAPTIVE TIRES TRACTION CONTROL
An adaptive tire traction control system for motor vehicle tires for grip enhancement and rolling friction reduction. The tire surface area is radially divided into multiple zones, in the three zones configuration the tire is composed of an outer shoulder, centre and inner shoulder. The outer shoulder is equipped with a plurality of studs to increase the traction when vehicle is on icy or muddy surfaces. The centre part is made of low friction rubbers for the normal operation to increase fuel economy and lengthen the tires life, and reduced rolling noise. The inner shoulder is equipped with high grip rubber to provide better grip in case of emergency braking. In one embodiment, the tilting mechanism of the tire traction system can be connected to the anti-lock braking system (ABS). In case of emergency braking, the inner shoulder with high grip rubber is brought in contact with the ground to provide more grips.
Multi-wheel transportation vehicles and related methods
A three wheeled vehicle is provided that can include a frame, a steerable front wheel secured to a front end of the frame, a first trailing wheel arm having a first rear wheel secured thereto and a second trailing wheel arm having a second rear wheel secured thereto, and a central suspension joint secured to the frame on which the first and second trailing wheel arm is rotatably secured on either side of the frame. Further, the vehicle can include a horizontal linkage pivotably connected on the frame at the midsection beneath the first and second trailing wheel arms and linked to an underside of the first and second trailing wheel arm between the first wheel and the central suspension joint proximal to a first end of the horizontal linkage and between the second wheel and the central suspension joint proximal to a second end of the horizontal linkage, respectively.
HEIGHT SENSOR AND VEHICLE COMPRISING SAME
A height sensor including a sensor body, a swing arm and a connecting rod. A first end of the swing arm is movably connected to the sensor body, and a second end of the swing arm is movably connected to the connecting rod. The swing arm is configured as a structure with an adjustable working length suitable for, and can be matched to, different chassis suspension structures, being highly versatile, with a low development cost and high development efficiency.
WHEEL ALIGNMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems, devices, and methods for analyzing the alignment of at least one wheel of a vehicle using a non-contact locating system. Systems can include a tie rod with a three-dimensional target that is used by a non-contact measuring instrument to determine the position of the target in three dimensional space. The target may be pyramidal in shape. The position of the target may be indicative of a desired wheel alignment.
Independent suspension system and crane having same
An independent suspension system includes two suspension oil cylinders, respectively arranged between wheels at two sides and a frame: and a steering mechanism, configured to be driven by a steering booster oil cylinder to drive the wheels at two sides to turn. The independent system also includes two swing links arranged corresponding to the wheels at two sides, an end at one side of each of the swing links is hinged to a wheel hub of the wheel at the corresponding side via a spherical hinge, and an end at another side of each of the swing links is hinged to a fixing member fixed below a main speed reducer via two spherical hinges respectively along a fore-and-aft direction. A crane having the independent suspension system is further provided.
Offset tie rod joint
An apparatus and a method are provided for an offset tie rod joint for vehicle steering systems. The offset tie rod joint comprises a ball rotatably retained within a casing that is disposed in an opening of an offset housing. A threaded shank fixedly coupled with the offset housing is received by a steering rod. The opening is displaced from a longitudinal axis of the threaded shank by a distance that provides clearance between the offset housing and a spindle assembly during articulation of the spindle assembly during steering. A rear backstop and a front snap-ring in a groove retain the casing within the opening. A bore extending through the ball receives a bolt that fixates the ball between parallel prongs of the spindle assembly. A misalignment spacer on each side of the ball provides clearance for rotation of the ball within the offset housing.
CAMBER ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM
