Envisaged is a regeneration system for a metal hydride heat pump of a damper type. The system comprises a plurality of reactor assembly modules configured to act as a heat pump, an ambient air inlet and a fluid recirculation circuit. The plurality of reactor assembly modules includes first, second, third and fourth metal hydride reactor assembly modules. The fluid recirculation circuit comprises a mixer, a fluid stream switching means, a flow regulating means and an exhaust outlet. The mixer is adapted to mix a portion of a recirculation stream received from the exhaust outlet and the exhaust gas stream to provide a resultant stream. The fluid stream switching means is coupled to the mixer and is adapted to switch flow of the resultant stream as received from the mixer and the ambient air stream in a cyclic manner in a series of half-cycles of operation.
Adsorption air-conditioning system
An air-conditioning system which may be included in a motor vehicle may include a single pair of tube-and-plate heat exchangers arranged within a common vacuum enclosure, the heat exchangers selectively coupled with a heat source, a radiator, and an air-conditioning core. During an adsorbing/evaporating mode, coolant may circulate between a first heat exchanger and the radiator and vapor may evaporate from the surface of non-adsorbent-coated plates of the second heat exchanger and be adsorbed at adsorbent-coated plates of the first heat exchanger while coolant circulates between the second heat exchanger and the core. During a desorbing/condensing mode, coolant may circulate between a heat source and the first heat exchanger to effect desorption of vapor from the adsorbent in the first heat exchanger, while melting PCM in the core exchanges heat with air blown through the core to provide cooling.

A method and device for cooling and/or heating media, preferably in a motor vehicle, the method in which at least one first heat source is cooled and at least one second heat sink is heated by a thermal management system. In a method in which the heating or cooling can occur on demand, heat and/or cold are shifted by the thermal management system in space and time to the heat sink and/or heat source, which is characterized by need.
Adsorption system
An adsorption system can be used as part of a climate control system in a vehicle or in any other space requiring heating or cooling. The adsorbent system can include an enclosure, a plurality of layers arranged in a stack inside the enclosure, and a vapor channel inside the enclosure.
Vehicle refrigerator
A vehicle refrigerator is disclosed. The vehicle refrigerator may include a body, a refrigerating system and a driving system. The refrigerating system and the driving system are both arranged in the body. The body is removable in a trunk of a vehicle. The driving system is used for driving the refrigerating system to operate normally, and may include an igniter and an air source. The igniter is connected with the air source. The refrigerating system is used for cooling an inner cavity of the body and is provided with a working medium capable of changing gas and liquid.
Method and apparatus for hybrid power trailer refrigeration
A refrigeration system for cooling a refrigeration compartment. The refrigeration system comprises a cooling reservoir for cooling refrigerant in a first loop using energy recovered from an engine exhaust stream and a refrigeration circuit comprising a compressor drivable by an internal combustion motor, the compressor circulating refrigerant in a second loop. The refrigeration system comprises at least one heat exchanger in communication with the first and second loops to receive cooled refrigerant, and at least one blower for forcing air over the at least one heat exchanger. A controller selectively activates the internal combustion motor based on a temperature of the cooling reservoir.
A Hybrid Air Conditioning System for Automobile
The present disclosure relates to the field of hybrid air conditioning for automobiles and controlling system thereof, and envisages a hybrid air conditioning system (10) for cooling a passenger cabin of an automobile having an engine (30). The system (10) comprises a metal hydride based air conditioning subsystem, a vapor compression based air conditioning subsystem, a first sensor, a second sensor and a control unit. The first sensor is mounted in the passenger cabin to sense temperature inside the passenger cabin to generate a first sensed signal. The second sensor is configured to sense temperature of exhaust gases to generate a second sensed signal. The control unit cooperates with the first sensor and the second sensor, to selectively actuate either the metal hydride based air conditioning subsystem or the vapor compression based air conditioning subsystem based on the first and second sensed signals.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING THE TEMPERATURE OF A BATTERY ASSEMBLY
The invention relates to a method for controlling the temperature of a battery assembly, wherein the battery assembly is thermally coupled to an integrated sorption heat storage means. In a desorption phase of the sorption heat storage means, a heating of the sorption material occurs with a desorption of a fluid during a heat output of the battery assembly during an electrical discharging and/or electrical charging. A condensation of the fluid desorbed from the sorption material occurs in a condenser with a heat sink. An independent heating of the battery can be carried out with a resorption of the fluid in the sorption material. The invention also relates to a device for controlling the temperature of a battery assembly, comprising a sorption heat storage means that is thermally coupled to the battery assembly and having a fluid and a sorption material, wherein the battery assembly is designed as a heat source for thermally heating the sorption material contained in the sorption heat storage means for the desorption of the fluid, and wherein the sorption heat storage means is designed as a heat source for an independent heating of the battery via a resorption of the fluid in the sorption material.
