A series-hybrid vehicle includes an internal combustion engine for electric power generation and a motor generator for travelling. The internal combustion engine is cooled by a second coolant water circuit that has a main radiator. A first coolant water circuit having a sub radiator is used to cool a front wheel-side power train cooling part, a rear wheel-side power train cooling part, a water-cooled condenser, and a low temperature-side intercooler. When the vehicle is accelerating, an electrical compressor for an air conditioner comes to a stop, and the circulation of refrigerant to the water-cooled condenser is brought to a halt.

The transport refrigeration unit is adapted to cool a container. The energy storage device is adapted to provide electrical energy for operating the transport refrigeration unit. The supply refrigerant tube flows a refrigerant from the transport refrigeration unit to the energy storage device, and the return refrigerant tube flows the refrigerant from the energy storage device back to the transport refrigeration unit to cool the battery in the energy storage device (46). The electrical pathway extends between the transport refrigeration unit and the energy storage device, and supplies at least electrical energy to the transport refrigeration unit.

This can include a computer-readable medium that stores executable instructions that, upon execution, prevent a working fluid leak from pooling within a climate-control unit (CCU) of a transport climate control system. This also includes detecting fulfillment of activation threshold conditions in connection with the CCU. Also, this includes activating a fan in at least one of a condenser unit and an evaporator unit included in the CCU to dilute leaked working fluid from air within the CCU. Further, this includes detecting fulfillment of de-activation threshold conditions and de-activation of an activated fan.

REFRIGERATION CYCLE DEVICE FOR VEHICLE

No studies have been made regarding what kinds of refrigerants should be used in a refrigeration cycle device for a vehicle. An air conditioner (1) for a vehicle includes a refrigerant circuit (10) and a refrigerant that is sealed in the refrigerant circuit (10). The refrigerant circuit (10) includes a compressor (80), a first heat exchanger (85), which serves as a heat dissipater in a dehumidifying heating mode, an outside-air heat exchanger (82), a cooling control valve (87), and a second heat exchanger (86), which serves as an evaporator in the dehumidifying heating mode. The refrigerant is a refrigerant having a low GWP.

Methods and systems for a vehicle air conditioning system

Methods and systems are provided for an air conditioning system. An example method of determining current through a compressor suction valve in a vehicle air conditioning (AC) system is provided, the AC system comprises an evaporator fan and the method includes determining the speed of the evaporator fan and determining the current through the suction valve based on the speed of the evaporator fan.

ENGINE INTAKE SYSTEM

An intake system of an engine mounted on a vehicle where a cabin is air-conditioned by an air conditioner, is provided. A heat exchanger of an evaporator of the air conditioner is divided into a first heat exchanger and a second heat exchanger that are mutually independent, and an air passage includes a first division passage and a second division passage. The intake system cools intake air utilizing a part of the air conditioner, and includes a connecting passage that guides first air cooled by passing through the first heat exchanger, a passage switch, and a controller. When the controller determines that a cooling demand for the intake air exists, it controls the first air to flow into an intake passage through the connecting passage, and when the controller determines that there is no cooling demand, it controls the first air to flow into the first division passage.

The open areas of the air-guiding structure include a plurality of ducts connected to one another to form a net-like duct structure. The duct structure forms flow regions or flow zones. A cover layer has at least one perforation in the region of connection or intersection points of the ducts.

The invention relates to a thermal control system for an electric vehicle comprising: a high voltage battery; a first heat exchanger adapted to be in contact with the ambient for circulating a heat exchange medium in thermal contact with the ambient; a second heat exchanger in thermal contact with the battery; a heat transport system for transporting the heat exchange medium from the first heat exchanger to an evaporator/condenser assembly that is in thermal contact with the second heat exchanger for transfer of heat to the battery and for transporting the heat exchange medium back to the first heat exchanger. At least one of the first and second heat exchangers is provided with a vibration device, such as an ultrasonic transducer, for releasing of ice formed on the at least one heat exchanger.
