Door frame for vehicle
A door frame for a vehicle includes an inboard panel that includes an outer peripheral wall, an inner peripheral wall spaced apart from the outer peripheral wall, and an inboard side wall connecting the outer peripheral wall and the inner peripheral wall. The outer peripheral wall extends obliquely from the inboard side wall at a predetermined angle. The doorframe also includes an outboard panel coupled to the inboard panel. The outer peripheral wall has a mounting hole for mounting a door weatherstrip.
COMPOSITE STRUCTURE FOR HIGH STRENGTH DOOR MODULE AND METHOD
A carrier of a carrier module for a motor vehicle door assembly and method of manufacture thereof is provided. The carrier includes a body with opposite wet and dry sides bounded by an outer periphery configured for attachment to the inner panel to substantially close off the opening. The body is formed from a first material having a first density, with a plurality of voids provided in the body. Each of the plurality of voids has a second density, wherein the second density is less than the first density of the first material.
PANEL-SHAPED FORMED PRODUCT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING PANEL-SHAPED FORMED PRODUCT
A panel-shaped formed product made of a metal sheet includes a top panel portion, an opening portion, and a vertical wall portion. The top panel portion is polygonal. The opening portion is provided in the top panel portion. The vertical wall portion extends from at least not less than two adjacent borders among the borders of the top panel portion. At least one pair of each vertical wall portion of pairs of adjacent vertical wall portions of the vertical wall portions has a stepped portion. As a result, the panel shaped formed product has fewer defects such as cracks and wrinkles even when it has a shape that is difficult to form.
INNER SUPPORT PANEL WITH MULTI-SIDED MOUNTING INTERFACE FOR HARDWARE MODULE OF VEHICLE DOOR ASSEMBLY
Disclosed herein are vehicle door inner panels, methods for making such inner panels, and motor vehicles with door assemblies using inner support panels. Presented is a door inner panel for a vehicle door assembly with a hardware module. The door inner panel includes a header section with a window frame for receiving a windowpane. A shell section is attached to the header section and mounts to the vehicle body's door frame. The shell section has a hardware frame for the hardware module. The hardware frame includes: a mounting interface on the shell section's inboard surface for coupling to an outboard surface of the hardware module's unit carrier; a mounting interface on a fore-aft surface of the shell section for sealingly attaching to a peripheral surface of the unit carrier; and a mounting interface on the shell section's outboard surface for coupling to an inboard surface of the unit carrier.
Surface temperature-controlling device
The invention relates to a surface temperature-controlling device, in particular for use in vehicles, comprising a first air-distributing layer which has multiple air inlets extending through the first air-distributing layer and multiple air outlets extending through the first air-distributing layer, and a second air-distributing layer which fluidically connects air inlets and air outlets of the first air-distributing layer, wherein the air inlets are designed to introduce pre-heated or pre-cooled air into the second air-distributing layer, and the air outlets are designed to discharge air out of the second air-distributing layer.
VEHICLE FRONT STRUCTURE
A door recessed portion is formed in an upper part of an inner wall surface of a door such that the door recessed portion is recessed outwardly in the vehicle width direction in a state where the door is closed. An operation tool configured to unlock the door is provided on the inner side of the door at a position avoiding the door recessed portion. The door recessed portion has a shape in which a curved surface curved to be recessed in the vehicle width direction continues in the front-rear direction. An instrument panel includes an instrument-panel recessed portion having a shape in which a curved surface curved to be recessed forward continues in the vehicle width direction. An edge line of an upper end of the instrument-panel recessed portion continues with an edge line of an upper end of the door recessed portion.
ACCESS-FEATURE-MOUNTED EXTERNAL SPEAKER
Implementations of the subject technology provide a access-feature-mounted external speaker. The access-feature-mounted external speaker may be disposed within an internal cavity in the door, and acoustically coupled to a slot in an edge of the door by an acoustic duct. In a closed position of the door, sound from the access-feature-mounted external speaker may be projected into a gap between the door and a structural interface of an enclosure, and redirected in part by the structural interface to a location external to the enclosure. In an open position of the door, sound from the speaker may be projected into an opening in the enclosure.
Vehicle door structure
Provided are a door trim attached on a vehicle cabin side of a vehicle door and including a storage recess curved outward in a vehicle-width direction, and a release switch disposed in the storage recess and pushed in a predetermined operating direction to output a latch release signal to an actuator that moves a latch member. The latch switch is completely stored in the storage recess, and the operating direction is tilted toward the rear of the vehicle relative to an axis extending outward in the vehicle-width direction.
Speaker system and vehicle door therewith
A speaker system includes a first panel, a second panel, a third panel, a speaker unit, and a sound absorber. The first panel is an outer panel constituting a part of a vehicle door of a vehicle having a compartment. The second panel constitutes a part of the vehicle door and is situated closer to the compartment than the first panel and has an opening. The third panel constitutes a part of the vehicle door and resides between the first panel and the second panel. The speaker unit overlaps the opening in a plan view when viewed from the compartment along a central axis of the speaker unit and outputs sound toward the compartment. The sound absorber is arranged at a location corresponding to an anti-node of particle velocity in a standing wave generated in a space defined between the speaker unit and the first panel.
SYSTEMS FOR LOUDSPEAKER ENCLOSURE INTEGRATION
Systems for securing a loudspeaker in a vehicle are provided. In one embodiment, a system for a vehicle door comprises a loudspeaker enclosure housing a loudspeaker and mounted to an interior panel of the vehicle door, a first coupling unit fixedly attached to the loudspeaker enclosure, and a second coupling unit fixedly attached to a component of the vehicle door away from the interior panel, wherein the second coupling unit is secured to the first coupling unit.
