LIFTGATE REINFORCEMENT ARRANGEMENTS
A liftgate structure having a composite inner panel with an outside surface having a lower perimeter surface area extending across the entire width of the composite liftgate structure. Connectable to the inner panel is a composite outer panel that has an inside surface with a lower perimeter surface area extending across substantially the entire width of the liftgate structure. Between the inner panel in the outer panel is a backing curtain. The backing curtain is connected to the outside surface of the inner panel such that the backing curtain is positioned between the outer panel on the inner panel and extends substantially across both the lower perimeter surface area of the inner panel and the lower perimeter surface area of the outer panel. The backing curtain prevents broken pieces of the outer panel for moving past the backing curtain in the event of an impact on the liftgate structure.
Hybrid door module
A carrier module for a motor vehicle door assembly having inner and outer panels defining a door panel structure with the inner panel having an opening for selective access to an internal door cavity between the inner and outer panels is provided. The carrier including an outer periphery configured for attachment to the inner panel to substantially close off the opening, and at least one reinforcement member fixed to the carrier, the at least one reinforcement member being formed of a material having a resistance to loading that is greater than a resistance to loading of a material of the carrier.

LIFTGATE REINFORCEMENT ARRANGMENTS
A liftgate structure having a structural inner panel with an outside surface and an inner surface having a lower perimeter surface area extending across substantially the entire width of the structural inner panel. The structural inner panel includes a wiper motor housing recess formed on the inner surface. A plurality of brackets are connected to the outside surface of the structural inner panel, where each of the brackets has at least one friendly hole. The liftgate structure further includes a tether having 2 ends each having at least one over molded retainer for connecting the tether to a wiper motor housing positioned within the wiper motor housing recess of the structural inner panel. Additionally the tether is positioned through each of the at least one friendly holes of the plurality of brackets.
HYBRID DOOR MODULE
A carrier module for a motor vehicle door assembly having inner and outer panels defining a door panel structure with the inner panel having an opening for selective access to an internal door cavity between the inner and outer panels is provided. The carrier including an outer periphery configured for attachment to the inner panel to substantially close off the opening, and at least one reinforcement member fixed to the carrier, the at least one reinforcement member being formed of a material having a resistance to loading that is greater than a resistance to loading of a material of the carrier.

MULTILAYERED TETHER LINK FOR LIFTGATE
A multilayered tether link for a vehicle tether (12). The tether includes a tether belt material sinuously folded about at least one wedge portion (24a. 24b). The wedge portion has a flat portion (32) and a widened end portion (30). After folding the belt material around the at least one wedge the combination is sewn together and a hole (28) drilled through the center for attachment to a vehicle part such as a liftgate.
Bushing for manufacturing structural composite preform

The bushing includes a base plate in which one or more through-holes are formed, and a plurality of spools spaced apart from each other on the base plate.
