Continuous sealing flat assembly for unibody truck cargo box

A continuous sealing flat for a truck cargo box for a unibody motor vehicle includes a pair of parallel opposed top side rails and a cab back panel disposed between and orthogonally thereto. A central portion of the cab back panel has a central ledge having a substantially flat upper surface extending horizontally between each of the pair of parallel opposed top side rails. A pair of corner members is disposed over and proximate a forward end of each of the parallel opposed top side rails. A forward end of a horizontal portion of each of the pair of corner members comprises a flat upper surface proximate to and at substantially the same vertical height as a vertical height of the flat upper surface of the central ledge to form a substantially continuous corner flat upper surface.

Vehicle Roof Comprising a Roof Opening System Having Two Kinematic Units

A vehicle roof having a roof opening system having a cover element which is displaceable between a closed position, in which a roof opening is closed, and an open position, in which the roof opening is open; displacement kinematics for displacing the cover element on either side of a vertical longitudinal center roof plane, each displacement kinematics may have a guide rail, a first kinematic unit guided in the guide rail, and a second kinematic unit guided in the guide rail; and a set of drive cables for the two kinematic units, the first kinematic unit may have a first deploying lever which is adjustable between a raised position and a lowered position, and the second kinematic unit may have a second deploying lever. The first kinematic unit has a securing slide which is guided in the guide rail and secures the first deploying lever in its lowered position.

MULTI-HINGE TONNEAU COVER

A tonneau cover comprising: (a) a plurality of panels; (b) one or more hinges between each panel of the plurality of panels so that the plurality of panels are rotatably connected together, wherein some or all of the one or more hinges include: (i) a plurality of expansion links that are movably interconnected together, some of the plurality of expansion links including: (1) one or more expansion projections; (2) one or more pockets that receive all or a portion of the one or more expansion projections from an adjacent one of the plurality of expansion links; and (3) one or more expansion stops that restricts movement of the one or more expansion projections from the adjacent one of plurality of the expansion links that extend within the one or more pockets; wherein the one or more hinges rotate so that the one or more hinges form of angle of about 90 degrees or more and about 225 degrees or less.

VEHICLE HAVING A PIVOTABLE ROOF

A vehicle includes: a frame including a roll cage, a motor connected to the frame, a driver seat connected to the frame, and a roof extending at least in part above the driver seat. The roof includes an upper surface and a lower surface. At least part of the roof is pivotably connected to the roll cage about a roof pivot axis so that the at least part of the roof is pivotable from a closed position to an open position. In the closed position, the at least part of the roof covers a roof opening defined by the roll cage, and in the open position, the at least part of the roof at least partly exposes the roof opening.

Disclosed are embodiments of a retractable tonneau cover for a vehicle that has been modified in order to generally minimize the size of a housing of the tonneau cover, providing more vehicle cargo space for a user. The modified retractable tonneau cover can be automatically closed through an electronic system.

Top door for electric refuse vehicle

A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a body assembly coupled to the chassis, an electric energy system, and a door system. The body assembly defines a refuse compartment. The body assembly has a cover that at least partially encloses the refuse compartment such that an opening is defined in the body assembly to provide access to the refuse compartment. The door system is coupled to the cover. The door system includes a panel and an electric actuator powered by the electric energy system. The electric actuator is configured to selectively reposition the panel between a first position where the panel extends across the opening and a second position where the panel does not extend across the opening.

Roof vent

A roof vent includes a roof disposed on a vehicle and a vent assembly. The vent assembly includes at least one vent unit disposed on the roof and configured to be popped up to the interior of the vehicle, a driving unit driving the vent unit, and at least one rack unit applying driving force of the driving unit to the vent unit. The vent unit is popped up or tilted by the driving unit.

Modular containment system and method

A system and method operable with a vehicle to selectively enclose a portion of the vehicle with a containment system. The containment system may be optional and/or configurable by a user. The containment system may be modular or configurable and may be used to cover any appropriate portion of the vehicle.

Collapsible folding truck trunk
11529909 · 2022-12-20 ·

A collapsible trunk for use with a vehicle having a wheel well. The trunk comprises a base wall and a side wall pivotally connected thereto. The side wall extends from the base wall and terminates at an upper edge. The side wall and base wall collectively define a storage cavity. The base wall and the side wall each have an expandable portion conformable to the wheel well in response to placement of the base wall and the side wall over the wheel well. The trunk is selectively transitional between a collapsed configuration and a deployed configuration. In the collapsed configuration, the base panels overlap each other, and in the deployed configuration, the plurality of base panels are co-planar to each other. The upper edge of the side wall moves away from the base wall as the trunk transitions from the collapsed configuration toward the deployed configuration.
