Top door for electric refuse vehicle
A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a body assembly coupled to the chassis, an electric energy system, and a door system. The body assembly defines a refuse compartment. The body assembly has a cover that at least partially encloses the refuse compartment such that an opening is defined in the body assembly to provide access to the refuse compartment. The door system is coupled to the cover. The door system includes a panel and an electric actuator powered by the electric energy system. The electric actuator is configured to selectively reposition the panel between a first position where the panel extends across the opening and a second position where the panel does not extend across the opening.
Emergency mechanism for lid kinematic device
A linkage for opening and closing a lid through actuation of an electric motor 12 includes a base bracket 21 extending in a longitudinal direction of a vehicle, and a driving lever 14 having one end pivotally connected to the bracket 21 and the other end connected to the lid. The driving lever is driven via a pinion 22 by a sector gear 31 driven by the electric motor. The sector gear is attached to the bracket 21. The electric motor is fixed to a motor bracket 11 and attached via the motor bracket 11 to the bracket. Loosening a member supporting a lateral end portion of the motor bracket 11 and a bolt 41 fixing the bracket 11 to the bracket 21 allows the pinion and the sector gear to be axially disengaged from each other.
Roof system for a cabriolet motor vehicle
A roof system (12) for a cabriolet vehicle (10) has a folding top (14) that is movable between a deployed position and a retracted position covered by a folding-top compartment lid (18). A side fin (16) is movable from a use position, in which the side fin (16) forms a rearward elongation of a support pillar (22), into a pivoted-away position, in which the side fin (16) is swiveled away from the folding-top compartment lid (18) about a swivel axis and into a pivoted-in position in which the side fin (16) is below the folding-top compartment lid (18). Movement of the side fin (16) away from the folding-top compartment lid (18) enables the side fin (16) to be positioned closer to or in the range of movement of the folding top (14) and the folding-top compartment lid (18) during movement between the deployed and retracted positions.

Retractable roof
A vehicle comprising: an occupant cabin; a retractable roof configured to move between a deployed configuration where the roof covers the occupant cabin and a retracted configuration; a housing configured to house the retractable roof when the roof is in the retracted configuration; a moveable cover configured to close the housing and move between a closed configuration where the moveable cover closes the housing and an open configuration to permit the retractable roof to move between the deployed configuration and the retracted configuration; a first electric motor coupled to the retractable roof to be capable of imparting motion to the retractable roof so that, when the first electric motor is activated, the first electric motor causes the retractable roof to move between the deployed configuration and the retracted configuration; a second electric motor coupled to the moveable cover to be capable of imparting motion to the movable cover so that, when the second electric motor is activated, the second electric motor causes the moveable cover to move between the closed configuration and the open configuration; and a control unit configured to control the activation of the first and second electric motors so that, during the movement of the retractable roof between the deployed configuration and the retracted configuration, the moveable cover moves partially simultaneously, with the retractable roof, between the closed configuration and open configuration.
VEHICLE SOFT TOP STORAGE SYSTEM
A storage system for a removable soft top assembly of a vehicle includes a main storage container having a top lid coupleable to a bottom lid, where the main storage container is sized and shaped to receive and store an articulating frame and main cover of the soft top assembly; a first supplemental storage container having a top lid coupleable to a bottom lid, the first supplemental storage container sized and shaped to receive and store windows of the soft stop assembly; and a second supplemental storage container having a top lid coupleable to a bottom lid, where the second supplemental storage container is sized and shaped to receive and store door rails of the soft top assembly. The second supplemental storage container is selectively coupleable to the first supplemental storage, and the first and second supplemental storage containers are selectively coupleable to the main storage container.
REAR VEHICLE-BODY STRUCTURE OF AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE WITH STORING-TYPE ROOF
A deck cover is openably provided at a vehicle-body rear portion positioned in back of a cabin. A top portion of a rear wheelhouse is provided at the vehicle-body rear portion. This top portion is configured to be displaced upward, relative to a vehicle-body rear end portion, such as a rear bumper or a rear end panel, by vehicle-body deformation caused by a vehicle rear collision. The deck cover is supported at a position of the vehicle-body rear portion which is located vertically above or in front of the top portion of the rear wheelhouse such that the deck cover is elevated in accordance with upward displacement of the top portion when the vehicle-body rear portion receives a rear-collision load.
Luggage storage
A vehicle comprising: a passenger compartment; a roof moveable between a first, closed position in which it covers at least part of the passenger compartment and a second, stowed position in which it does not cover the passenger compartment; and a floor located so as to face the underside of the roof when the roof is in the stowed position, the floor being adapted to define a luggage space between it and the roof when the roof is in the stowed position.
