An electric vehicle may include a frame, a set of wheels, and an electric propulsion system comprising an electric motor and a primary battery assembly including a first battery pack that powers the electric motor. The vehicle may also include an auxiliary battery pack configured to power the electric motor when the primary battery assembly is disconnected from the electric motor. The primary battery assembly may be non-destructively removable from the frame. In addition, the auxiliary battery pack may be fixedly attached to the frame.

A zero emissions electrically powered haul truck is disclosed. The haul truck has a 40 metric ton hauling capacity and a form factor that allows the truck to travel through underground mines. The truck also includes a primary battery assembly that is externally mounted along the front and sides of the truck.

A materials handling vehicle including a battery receiving space, and a removable battery assembly, wherein: the removable battery assembly includes a battery body and a battery locking mechanism; the battery locking mechanism includes a spring-loaded battery handle and a spring-loaded locking pin; the battery receiving space includes a battery latch positioned to receive the spring-loaded locking pin; the spring-loaded battery handle includes a planar handle cam surface and the spring-loaded locking pin includes a planar pin cam surface such that the handle cam surface engages the pin cam surface with movement of the battery handle relative to the battery body; the spring-loaded battery handle is spring-biased in a locked position; and the spring-loaded locking pin is spring-biased in an extended position and is movable to a retracted position in response to movement of the battery handle from the locked position to an unlocked position.

Various personal mobility vehicles, such as scooters, are disclosed. The scooter can include at least one battery and motor for powering at least one driven wheel. The vehicle can include a gear assembly to convert a torque produced by the motor to a different torque to a driven shaft to power the at least one driven wheel. The battery can be removable.

A towing vehicle for transport devices includes a body, a connection mechanism, a transmission mechanism and a drive mechanism, wherein the front and rear ends of the body are respectively and pivotally installed with track wheels, and each of the track wheels is provided with a second passive gear; the connection mechanism is installed on the body for connecting the towed transport device; the transmission mechanism is installed on both sides of the body, and each of the transmission mechanisms has a primary transmission shaft and two secondary transmission shafts, in which the primary transmission shaft has a first active gear, and the secondary transmission shaft has a second active gear and a first passive gear; moreover, the drive mechanism is used to drive each primary transmission shaft to operate.

A battery system for an electric motor vehicle comprises first and second battery cartridges that are installed in corresponding first and second battery compartments of the electric motor vehicle. The first battery cartridge has a power connector port with at least one of a shape, size, configuration and orientation that is different than the corresponding power connector port of the second battery cartridge. The first and second battery compartments are physically spaced apart and electrically coupled together by a bridging power cable. The bridging power cable comprises first and second connector ends that extend respectively into the first and second battery compartments, and the first connector end mates more easily with the first power connector port than with the second power connector port, and the second connector end mates more easily with the second power connector port than with the first power connector port.
