ELECTRIC CONCRETE VEHICLE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An electrified vehicle include a chassis, a front axle coupled to the chassis, a rear axle coupled to the chassis, an electric motor supported by the chassis, and a trailer coupled to a rear end of the chassis and configured to be towed by the electrified vehicle. The electric motor is configured to drive at least one of the front axle, the rear axle, or a component of the electrified vehicle. The trailer includes a trailer frame, a trailer axle coupled to the trailer frame, and an energy storage device supported by the trailer frame. The energy storage device includes a plurality of batteries. The energy storage device configured to power the electric motor.
BATTERY SERVICING APPARATUS
In an electrified vehicle, such as a battery electric vehicle, those with a hybrid powertrain, range extended electric vehicles, or hydrogen powered vehicles, integration of the battery may mean that space is very constrained. Typically this means that there is no feasible method to lift the battery to disengage it from the vehicle or to operate any engagement catches or locks etc. The disclosure provides a roller arrangement which has no translation or actuator requirements in order to allow the battery to have reduced frictional engagement with the battery compartment during installation or removal, and also to be well engaged with the battery compartment once installed. Rollers are provided which drop into recesses in the battery compartment at which point they are removed from load bearing engagement and thus, the recesses serve to locate the battery into the installed state in the compartment.
System for Repositioning Weight in Response to Vehicle Speed
A system for repositioning at least one battery of an electric-powered vehicle relative to a drive axle of the vehicle to increase the weight carried by the axle as the vehicle attains a predetermined speed.
BATTERY PACK FIXING SYSTEM, AND MOUNTING METHOD AND DISMOUNTING METHOD FOR BATTERY PACK
Disclosed is a battery pack fixing system. The battery pack fixing system comprises a locking mechanism (1), wherein the locking mechanism (1) is arranged on the contact surface of a battery pack (2) and a support (3), and the battery pack (2) is unlocked or locked on the support (3) by rotating the locking mechanism (1). According to the battery pack fixing system, the battery pack (2) is unlocked or locked on the support (3) by using the rotation movement of the locking mechanism (1) in different directions, so that the objective of fixing the battery pack (2) on the support (3) is achieved; and compared with a traditional locking mechanism, the battery pack fixing system has advantages such as being firmer in fixing and highly reliable. Further disclosed are a mounting method and a dismounting method for the battery pack.
Battery pack for electric work vehicle
A battery pack for an electric work vehicle includes: a box-shaped housing; a transport wheel provided to the housing; a transport handle; a bracket fixed to the housing; a swing shaft for swingably connecting the transport handle and the bracket, between a vertical posture in which the transport handle extends upward from the housing and a horizontal posture in which the transport handle lies above the housing; and a vertical socket for receiving a base end part of the transport handle of the vertical posture to resist a torque of the transport handle caused during an operation.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE PROPULSION SYSTEM AND PROPULSION SYSTEM OPERATING METHOD
Methods and systems for an electric vehicle (EV) propulsion are provided. A method for operating an EV propulsion system is provided, in one example, that includes, while a traction battery assembly generates electric power, initiating start-up of a hydrogen fuel cell assembly based on a first battery state of charge (SOC) threshold and a first hydrogen fuel storage threshold to transition into a hybrid mode of operation. In the propulsion system, the traction battery assembly includes one or more traction batteries that are electrically coupled to one or more hydrogen fuel cells in the hydrogen fuel cell assembly via a distribution assembly, where the distribution assembly is electrically coupled to a traction motor.
STRUCTURAL REFUSE VEHICLE BODY WITH UNDERMOUNTED BATTERIES
An electrified vehicle includes a front subframe, a rear subframe, and a body that connects the front subframe to the rear subframe so that forces acting on the front subframe and the rear subframe are transmitted through the body. The vehicle also includes a housing coupled to an underside of the body between the front subframe and the rear subframe. An energy storage system is enclosed in the housing and includes a battery and a battery interface configured to electrically couple the battery to at least one component of the electrified vehicle.
BATTERY GUIDE PINS FOR A BATTERY RECEIVING SPACE OF A MATERIALS HANDLING VEHICLE, AND MATERIALS HANDLING VEHICLES INCORPORATING THE SAME
A materials handling vehicle including a battery receiving space, and a removable battery assembly, wherein: the battery receiving space includes opposing pairs of battery guide pins, each opposing pair arranged on opposite sides of the battery receiving space, and each opposing pair includes a latching pin and a guiding pin; the removable battery assembly includes a battery locking mechanism; the battery locking mechanism includes spring-loaded locking pins that are spring-biased in extended positions and are movable from the extended positions to respective retracted positions; the latching pin of each opposing pair of battery guide pins includes a recess forming a battery latch that is positioned to receive a leading portion of one of the spring-loaded locking pins in the extended position.
BATTERY LOCKING MECHANISMS, REMOVABLE BATTERY ASSEMBLIES, AND MATERIALS HANDLING VEHICLES INCORPORATING THE SAME
A materials handling vehicle including a battery receiving space, and a removable battery assembly, wherein: the removable battery assembly includes a battery body and a battery locking mechanism; the battery locking mechanism includes a spring-loaded battery handle and a spring-loaded locking pin; the battery receiving space includes a battery latch positioned to receive the spring-loaded locking pin; the spring-loaded battery handle includes a planar handle cam surface and the spring-loaded locking pin includes a planar pin cam surface such that the handle cam surface engages the pin cam surface with movement of the battery handle relative to the battery body; the spring-loaded battery handle is spring-biased in a locked position; and the spring-loaded locking pin is spring-biased in an extended position and is movable to a retracted position in response to movement of the battery handle from the locked position to an unlocked position.
