Systems and methods for exhaust system
Methods and systems are provided for a fuel system. In one example, a method includes flowing fuel tank vapors to a catalyst during a fuel tank depressurization in response to a refueling request. The method further includes executing an engine vapor flush following a refueling event being completed.
FLUID LIMIT VENT VALVE WITH SPLASH PREVENTION
A fluid limit vent valve assembly includes a lower case having a base portion and an outer wall extending from the base portion to define a lower case interior cavity and an opening at an end of the lower case opposite the base portion. A first slot extends through the outer wall. A fuel flow diverter is positioned in the interior cavity directly opposite first slot and extends along a path between the first slot and a vapor exit passage of the valve assembly. The flow diverter prevents splashing of liquid fuel into a vapor exit passage of the valve assembly. A second slot also extends through the lower case outer wall and is angularly spaced apart from the first slot.
VALVE DEVICE
There is provided a valve device including: a housing in which a valve chamber is provided on a lower side and a ventilation chamber is provided on an upper side via a partition wall, the partition wall being formed with a valve hole; a float valve; and a pressure adjusting valve. An accommodation portion is provided in a protruding manner from a surface of the partition wall. An accommodating space configured to accommodate the pressure adjusting valve is formed on an inner side of the accommodation portion, and an outer space is formed on an outer side of the accommodating space. The accommodation portion is formed with an opening through which the accommodating space and the outer space communicate with each other.
Check valve for fuel tank and manufacturing method therefor
There is provided a check valve for a fuel tank, including a cover to be welded to the fuel tank, a case welded to the cover and having a discharge port configured to discharge fuel into the fuel tank, and a valve body configured to open and close the discharge port. The cover includes a positioning portion on an outer circumferential surface. The case includes a vent hole which is arranged upward in a circumferential direction of the case when the check valve is mounted on the fuel tank, and a valve body supporting portion which supports the valve body inside the case. The valve body supporting portion includes a selecting portion for positioning the vent hole, which is provided on a discharge port side at a position away from the positioning portion by a predetermined angle in the circumferential direction of the case.
Fuel Tank Unit
A fuel tank unit may include a fuel tank, a canister configured to adsorb and desorb vapor generated in the fuel tank, a vapor conduit communicating the fuel tank with the canister, and a full tank fuel level limiting valve device connected to a fuel tank-side end of the vapor conduit. The full tank fuel level limiting valve device includes a full tank fuel level limiting valve and an actuator. The full tank fuel level limiting valve includes a float that is configured to float due to a buoyancy force of fuel in the fuel tank so as to close the full tank fuel level limiting valve when the fuel tank is filled up. The actuator includes a valve closure prevention member that is configured to move and press the float when the actuator is activated, so as to prevent the float from moving in a valve closing direction.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING FLOW IN A FUEL RECIRCULATION LINE
A vehicle and a fuel system for a vehicle are provided. The fuel system has a fuel tank, a fuel fill inlet fluidly connected to the fuel tank to receive fuel dispensed from an external fuel supply device, and a recirculation line with a first end fluidly connected to the fuel fill inlet and a second end fluidly connected to the fuel tank. An ejector is positioned within the recirculation line. A valve fluidly connects the ejector to the fuel tank via a drain line. A method of fueling a vehicle is also provided.
APPARATUS FOR PREVENTING FUEL OVERFLOW OF A VEHICLE FUEL TANK
An apparatus for preventing fuel overflow of a vehicle fuel tank includes: a valve unit including a valve body, a housing configured to cover a lower part of the valve body, a float mounted on the valve body and configured to slide up and down, a vapor line opened and closed according to a movement of the float, and a fuel inlet hole; a cover unit coupled to and enveloping the housing, the cover unit having a plurality of windows along an outer circumferential surface at a height corresponding to the fuel inlet hole, thereby being formed to allow the fuel to be introduced into the valve unit; and a shielding unit mounted on the cover unit to shield open windows, the shielding unit able to rotate along a turning direction of the vehicle to form an inflow path of the fuel flowing into the fuel inlet hole.
Fuel tank venting system for hybrid vehicle
A fuel tank venting system for a hybrid vehicle includes a first flow path configured to deliver fuel vaporized from a fuel tank to a canister, a second flow path configured to deliver air used for cooling a high voltage battery to the canister, a first three-way valve disposed on the second flow path and configured to control opening and closing of a first discharge port for releasing pressure of the fuel tank, a second three-way valve disposed on the second flow path and configured to control opening and closing of a second discharge port for flowing the air used for cooling the high voltage battery into the canister or discharging the air used for cooling the high voltage battery outside the vehicle, and a controller configured to control the first three-way valve and the second three-way valve.
Stepper driven valve for controlling fluid communication between a fuel tank and a canister
A fuel system having a fuel tank, a filler pipe for adding liquid fuel, a carbon canister for collecting fuel vapors from the fuel tank during a refueling operation, a stepper motor and a stepper driven valve for controlling fluid communication between the fuel tank and the canister, where the valve is configured to be positionable in a closed position, an open position creating a passageway with a first size, and one or more intermediate positions each creating a passageway with a size which is smaller than the first size and having a moving element, movable relative to a valve opening between a closed position and an opened position, the moving element having: a sealing means for making a leak tight seal and, a deflecting means for controlling the fluid flow, where the deflecting means protrudes inside the valve opening and is adapted to be located upstream relative to sealing means.
VEHICLE COMPRISING FUEL INLET AND ATTACHMENT FOR FUEL INLET
A vehicle may include: a fuel tank; a first fuel inlet connected to the fuel tank and configured to connect to a fuel supply nozzle; and a second fuel inlet connected to the fuel tank and configured to connect to the fuel supply nozzle. An inner diameter of the second fuel inlet may be smaller than an inner diameter of the first fuel inlet.
