FUEL SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A fuel system for a motor vehicle includes a fuel pump having a first pump outlet connectable to an engine fuel inlet and a second pump outlet, a fuel pump module including an internal volume, a fuel pump module outlet is arranged in the internal volume fluidically connected to the second pump outlet, and a fuel valve is fluidically connected to the second pump outlet. The fuel valve is operable to fluidically isolate the fuel pump from the fuel pump module when fuel in the internal volume reaches a selected fuel level.
ROLLOVER VENT VALVE ASSEMBLY
A valve assembly includes a body engageable with a container, an internal cavity, and a vent outlet. A wall divides the internal cavity into a first chamber and a second chamber, the first chamber being between the bottom end of the body and the wall, and the second chamber being between the top end of the body and the wall, in communication with the vent outlet. An umbrella valve is coupled to the wall and has a central passage and an umbrella portion. The umbrella portion is positioned within the second chamber and is configured to engage a top side of the wall. The umbrella portion is configured to deform away from the top side of the wall to vent a gas along a first pathway from the first chamber to the vent outlet in response to pressure within the first chamber exceeding a cracking pressure of the umbrella valve.
Utility vehicle tank
A vehicle tank having a container and a pair of spaced apart baffle plates directly connected to walls of the container to define a swirl pot. The baffle plates have at least one orifice which lies spatially above the swirl pot, and within the swirl pot, the baffle plates have valves to allow an inflow of fuel into the swirl pot.
Fuel container with liquid separator that can be pneumatically emptied
A fuel container, in particular for motor vehicles, comprising an aereation and de-aereation device for balancing the internal gas pressure during filling of the container with fuel and during consumption of the fuel during the operation of a working machine powered by the fuel. The aereation and de-aereation device has a separator device for separating liquid fuel from an aereation and de-aereation line. In order to permit the separator device to be emptied, if a fuel pump, which serves this purpose during normal operation, is not in operation, the separator device comprises a housing and a pipe nozzle which is connected to the housing either directly or via a pipeline and in which pressure fluctuations occur as a result of incoming and outgoing fuel, said fluctuations acting as a pump for emptying the separator device.
Tank ventilation system for a motor vehicle
A tank ventilation system for a motor vehicle has a fuel tank, a fuel vapor store which is connected to a fuel tank, and a ventilating device which is connected to the fuel vapor store, in order to ventilate the latter. The ventilating device has an aeration line which opens in an interior space of the motor vehicle, which interior space is delimited on all sides by vehicle body parts from the surroundings of the motor vehicle.
