Fuel supply port device
A fuel supply port device includes a tubular main member portion where a fuel supply nozzle is inserted from a tube-upper-end side; a cover member covering a side portion on the tube-upper-end side of the tubular main member portion from an outside; an earth member electrically connecting a fuel-supply-nozzle side to be inserted and a body-panel side; and a seal member sealing a pass-through portion of the earth member formed in the cover member. The seal member includes an insert-through portion allowing a one-end-portion side of the earth member to be inserted to pass through from the outside of the tubular main member portion.
Wire with electrostatically conductive insulator
In at least some implementations, a wire includes a core formed from an electrically conductive material and having an outer surface, and a polymeric insulator surrounding the core. The insulator has a resistivity of between 10.sup.5 and 10.sup.9 ohms/square, and the insulator has an inner surface engaged with the core. In at least some implementations, the core is formed from metal and has a conductivity of at least 1106 m. The insulator may include a base material and a conductive material in the base material, wherein the conductive material has a conductivity between 10.sup.5 and 10.sup.6 ohms/square. The insulator may have an outer surface that defines an outer surface of the wire and/or the insulator may have an inner surface engaged with the core.
Electrostatic discharge assembly for a vehicle
An electrostatic discharge assembly for a vehicle includes a conductive plastic tether and a pipe connector. The conductive plastic tether has a first end and a second end. The first end is configured to be connected to a vehicle frame. The pipe connector is configured to connect the second end of the conductive plastic tether to a first fuel pipe of the vehicle.
Vehicle fuel tank assembly
A vehicle fuel tank assembly includes a fuel tank and an electrically conductive top plate that closes and seals a fuel-fill opening in the fuel tank. The top plate includes electrical dissipation structures and features that allow for electrical charge dissipation of the fuel tank to an external structure such as the vehicle chassis. The dissipation structures include an electrically insulative carrier that is partially embedded in the top plate using an overmolding process, and an electrical conductor that is supported by the carrier. The electrical conductor provides an electrical connection between the top plate and the chassis that is independent of the fuel tank and the fuel tank mounting structure.
