PRESSURE VESSEL ASSEMBLY AND PRESSURE VESSEL PROTECTOR
A pressure vessel assembly including a pressure vessel including a cylinder part and a first side part and a second side part, the first side part and the second side part each having a dome shape and being provided at two opposite ends of the cylinder part, nozzle members respectively provided on the first side part and the second side part, and a plurality of protectors connected to the nozzle members and configured to surround a respective outer surface of the first side part or the second side part.
FUEL SYSTEM WITH SACRIFICIAL NECK SLEEVE
A fuel system is provided that includes a mounting block assembly configured to support an end of a fuel tank. The end of the fuel tank has a boss. The mounting block assembly encloses a space configured to receive the boss of the fuel tank. The fuel system also includes a bearing disposed in the space. The bearing has a support surface configured for sliding support of the boss of the fuel tank at an interface between the first portion and the second portion of the mounting block assembly. The fuel system also includes a sleeve. The sleeve is removably coupled to the boss of the fuel tank such that the sleeve is restrained longitudinally relative to the boss. The sleeve is configured to slide longitudinally relative to the support surface when the boss and sleeve are disposed on the support surface within the space of the mounting block assembly.
TANK AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A TANK
A tank includes a tank body made of a thermoplastic resin, a female screw member and a joint that are made of metal, and a seal member. The tank body has a tubular connection port with a through hole, and an inner space communicating with the connection port. The joint has a male screw portion to be screwed into a female screw hole of the female screw member, a boss portion connected to the male screw portion, and a joint through hole passing through the male screw portion and the boss portion. The seal member is provided so as to contact the boss portion and the hole side surface when the male screw portion is screwed into the female screw hole. The boss portion is contactable with a first bearing surface of the female screw member.
Device for reinforcing vehicle fuel tank
A device for reinforcing vehicle fuel tank improves a structure of a rigid reinforcement pillar mounted in an enclosed fuel tank by maintaining stiffness of the reinforcement pillar in a state in which the fuel tank is under positive pressure and an engine negative pressure acts thereon as well as inducing breakage of the reinforcement pillar when a large impact applies, such as in the event of vehicle collision, thereby preventing a fused portion between upper and lower plates of the fuel tank from rupturing.
Fuel tank units
A fuel tank unit includes a lid member configured to close an opening formed on a fuel tank. The fuel tank also includes an upper unit attached to the lid member and including a combination valve device configured to be introduced into the fuel tank via the opening formed on the fuel tank and configured to function as an evaporated fuel control valve and a full limit valve. The lid member includes a cylindrical protective case configured to protect the combination valve device of the upper unit when the combination valve device is introduced into the fuel tank via the opening. The protective case is configured to entirely enclose an outer circumferential surface of the combination valve device with a space therebetween.
Fuel tank and pump system
An in-tank fuel pump assembly and mounting system is disclosed which may be configured for mounting inside a fuel tank. The assembly includes a pump housing, pump mounted to the housing, and pressure relief valve. The housing may comprise upper and lower pump housing units coupled together. The upper housing unit is configured for mounting to a tank opening, which in one implementation may be the fuel fill opening. The lower housing unit extends into the tank to approximately the bottom of the tank. A fuel fill fluid pathway is created through the housing for adding fuel to the tank while the pump assembly remains in situ. The upper housing unit may include a removable fuel cap. The pump housing may include an integral vapor trap.
FUEL TANK
A fuel tank (10) includes: a lower panel (12) made of steel and an upper panel (11) made of steel; and at least one pillar (100) made of steel which is disposed in an interior space (V) formed by the lower panel (12) and the upper panel (11) facing each other and of which a first end portion is fixed to the lower panel (12) and a second end portion is fixed to the upper panel (11) in a state where the second end portion is disposed in a hole formed in the upper panel (11).
MODIFIED GAS TANK WITH BUILT-IN FUEL PUMP WITH INTERNAL REGULATOR ADAPTED FOR UTILITY, OFF-ROAD, AND ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLES AND A METHOD OF INSTALLING THE SAME
A modified fuel tank for utility, off-road and all-terrain vehicles. The modified fuel tank has a built-up first side and a thinner second side, wherein a modified opening is formed through a portion of both. A modified insert is dimensioned and adapted to engage the periphery of the modified opening through a sidewall including a curved portion and a tapered portion to accommodate the transition between the first side and the second side. A pump assembly with a built-in regulator is supported by the modified insert, by way of a retaining lip and a seal and retaining ring, so that the pump assembly is fluidly coupled to the fuel compartment of the modified fuel tank, and an outlet protrudes just above the modified insert.
FILL-UP RESTRICTION VALVE
There is provided a fill-up restriction valve including: a housing; and a float valve. The housing includes a housing body including a body-side peripheral wall, and a lower cap including a cap-side peripheral wall, the lower cap being installed to a lower side of the housing body by a joint portion. The joint portion includes an annular groove, an insertion wall portion, and an annular protrusion formed on one of the insertion wall portion and the annular groove, or an annular seal member disposed between the insertion wall portion and the annular groove. The annular protrusion or the annular seal member is configured to be in pressure-contact with the annular groove and the insertion wall portion in a state where the insertion wall portion is inserted into the annular groove.
Gas fuel storage device for vehicle
A gas fuel storage device for a vehicle is provided. The device more easily secures a gas fuel storage capacity and prevents interior marketability of the vehicle from deteriorating.
