LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM
The invention relates to a leak detection system on board of a vehicle comprising a fuel tank (301, 401), a filler pipe (302, 402), a venting line (303, 403) for recirculating fuel vapors from the tank to the filler pipe, said system having a combination pressure and temperature sensor mounted in the vapor dome of the fuel tank, and a pressure sensor located in the recirculation line above the highest possible liquid level that could be present in the recirculation line and to methods to detect said leak.
Fluid tank system
A fluid tank that includes a housing. The housing includes a bottom wall, a top wall, and a side wall. The side wall couples the bottom wall to the top wall to define a cavity that receives and houses a liquid. A conduit guides liquid from a fluid source into the cavity. The conduit defines an inlet and an outlet. The outlet couples to the side wall. A vent coupled to the housing and to the conduit. The vent defines a vent inlet coupled to the housing and a vent outlet coupled to the conduit. The vent discharges gas from the housing into the conduit.
Shovel
A shovel includes a lower traveling body, an upper turning body turnably attached to the lower traveling body, a boom pivotably attached to the upper turning body, an arm pivotably attached to the boom, an engine mounted on the upper turning body, a hydraulic pump mounted on the upper turning body, a fuel tank mounted on the upper turning body, a work walkway provided on an upper surface of the fuel tank for the movement of a worker, and a rollover valve provided at the top of the fuel tank at a position different from the work walkway.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR AGING A FUEL TANK IN A PLUG-IN HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE
Methods and systems are provided for aging a new plastic fuel tank in a vehicle. In one example, during a plug-in event to recharge a battery of the vehicle, the fuel tank is isolated and the fuel pump is actuated to agitate fuel within the tank and increase fuel vapors until the plastic fuel tank becomes aged to a predetermined degree by fuel vapors generated therein. In this manner, the fuel tank is aged more rapidly, resulting in more accurate fuel level readings and less noise and vibration.
FILLING HEAD FOR FILLING A TANK WITH A LIQUID
A filling head for filling a tank with a liquid, the filling head delimiting a conduit for filling the tank which extends axially along a filling axis from an upstream section which is adapted to receive a filling nozzle, up to a downstream section which is designed to be connected on the tank to fill, and a degassing circuit including an inlet which is adapted to be connected on the tank and an outlet in communication with the outside, the filling head being characterized in that it delimits a suction window which connects the downstream section of the filling conduit on the degassing circuit, so as to promote the suction of the gases via the degassing circuit, during the filling of the tank.
Liquid/vapor separator
The invention relates to a liquid/vapor separator (1) for a fuel tank for motor vehicles, comprising a housing (2) having a droplet collecting space (9) for fuel in vapor form. The housing (2) is provided with a connection cross section (4) which, in the installed position, opens into a space surrounded by a filler pipe of the motor vehicle. The liquid/vapor separator (1) comprises at least one first connection (6) for a refueling vent line of the fuel tank, said connection opening into the droplet collecting space (9), a second connection for a service vent line of the fuel tank, and a third connection (8) for a vent line leading to a fuel vapor filter. The liquid/vapor separator (1) according to the invention furthermore comprises at least one valve, which closes at least a service vent path (12) from the second connection to the fuel vapor filter during refueling of the motor vehicle, wherein the service vent path (12) is routed as a channel bypassing the droplet collecting space (9) into the connection cross section (4) of the housing (2).
Fuel line joint
To provide a fuel line joint capable of improving resistance to an external force in a joint configured to store a liquid fuel. A fuel line joint is equipped with an integrally formed main body portion that has a storage region configured to store a liquid fuel in a lower part thereof and has an opening portion above the storage region of the liquid fuel; a lid that is formed separately from the main body portion, is attached to the main body portion so as to close the opening portion of the main body portion, and is not connected to members other than the main body portion; and a plurality of mounting portions that is formed integrally with the main body portion and mounted to each of a plurality of pipes forming a fuel line.
FUEL TANK
A fuel tank includes a tank main body and a fuel filler neck. A breather hole is provided in an inner surface of the fuel filler neck. A connecting pipe opens to the inside of the fuel filler neck though the breather hole and extends from the fuel filler neck in the radial direction. The inside of the fuel filler neck includes a first vapor-liquid separation chamber therein that is partitioned from the tank main body and connected to the breather hole. Liquid fuel entering the breather channel is reduced.
Filler neck for a motor vehicle operating-liquid tank
The invention relates to a filler neck for an operating-liquid tank (3) for a motor vehicle. The filler neck (1) comprises a mouth-hole neck (11), into which a nozzle can be inserted in order to fill the operating-liquid tank (3). A ventilation path is provided in the filler neck (1), which ventilation path allows a ventilation flow parallel and oppositely to the filling volumetric flow through the mouth-hole neck (11) during filling. The filler neck (1) according to the invention is characterized in that the ventilation path comprises at least one ventilation channel (18) provided in a wall arrangement (14) of the mouth-hole neck (11), which at least one ventilation channel is at least partially surrounded by an outer wall (14a) and an inner wall (14b) of the wall arrangement (14) along the longitudinal extent of the at least one ventilation channel.
Fuel filler device
A fuel filler device for filling fuel into a vehicle tank, includes a filler pipe for receiving a fuel filler nozzle, which filler pipe can be connected with the vehicle tank. At least one pivotably mounted closing flap is arranged in the filler pipe. A spring element is provided, which biases the at least one closing flap into a closing position closing a passage through the filler pipe. The at least one closing flap is pivotable from the closing position into an opening position opening a passage through the filler pipe as a result of the fuel filler nozzle inserted into the filler pipe. At least one valve element forms at least one bypass to the at least one closing flap, and from a limit pressure difference, allows a passage of gas out of the filler pipe and/or into the filler pipe.
