Fuel tank structure for saddle-ride type vehicle
A fuel tank structure for a saddle-ride vehicle for discharging fuel leaking out from a filler neck between a cover member and a fuel tank. The fuel tank structure includes a filler neck having a collar portion projecting upwardly from an upper surface of a fuel tank with a tank cap to seal the filler neck. A tank cover includes a cover opening portion into which the collar portion is inserted for covering the circumference of the filler neck. The tank cap has an extending wall portion for surrounding the outside of the collar portion and extending to a position below the cover opening portion so that fuel leaking from the filler neck is discharged through a clearance between the fuel tank and the tank cover.
Fuel supply system
A fuel supply system provided comprises: a resin filler neck configured to have an opening which a fuel nozzle is inserted through and have a multi-layered structure of a conductive layer of electrical conductivity and a non-conductive layer of non-electrical conductivity; a resin fuel pipe connected with the filler neck and configured to have a multi-layered structure including a conductive outer layer of electrical conductivity provided as an outermost layer; and a cap member of electrical conductivity configured to open or close the opening of the filler neck. The filler neck includes a cap member contact part of electrical conductivity arranged to come into contact with the cap member and a conductive outer layer contact part of electrical conductivity arranged to come into contact with the conductive outer layer of the fuel pipe, so as to form a conductive path from the cap member to the conductive outer layer of the fuel pipe.
Diesel exhaust fluid cap assembly for vehicle and diesel exhaust fluid supply system including the same
A diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) cap assembly for a vehicle includes: a body having a first opening and a second opening arranged at an opposite side of the first opening, the second opening configured to be opened and closed; a flange portion protruding radially outward between the first opening and the second opening of the body, and having a plurality of through holes and a flange gasket configured to be sealably coupled to a mounting subject on which the flange portion is mounted; and a membrane member coupled to the flange portion, and configured to cover the plurality through holes and allow air flow.
VEHICLE FUEL STORAGE SYSTEM, AND METHODS OF USE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Some embodiments are directed to a cover assembly for a fuel filler pipe that is disposed adjacent vehicle suspension components. The cover assembly can include a first cover portion that includes a first extension that extends in a first direction and a second extension that extends in a second direction that intersects the first extension at an angle, the first cover portion forming a channel defined by a first cover portion wall that is configured to wrap around a portion of an outer perimeter of the fuel filler pipe so as to leave a section of the outer perimeter of the fuel filler pipe exposed so as to permit movement of the exposed outer perimeter section, the first cover portion being configured to extend more than half a length of the fuel filler pipe.
Fuel tank mounted refueling device
A refueling device that when mounted to a marine fuel tank facilitates refueling and minimizes the propensity for both spit-back and well back while simultaneously allowing a free flowing open pathway through which vapors generated by the refueling event may pass unencumbered.
Filler neck assembly and method for producing same
A filler neck assembly including a main channel for supplying a liquid into a tank and an auxiliary channel for evacuating gas from the tank. The main channel includes a tubular main body including a first end receiving a filler spout and a second end discharging the liquid into the tank. The auxiliary channel includes a first section and a second section, the first section being a channel integrally molded with the tubular main body, and the second section being formed by a feature on an exterior of the main body cooperating with a separately formed part.
PRESSURE CONTAINING/RELIEVING CAP FOR A LIQUIFIED NATURAL GAS RECEPTACLE
A cap for closing an opening of a receptacle such as for a liquefied natural gas container. The cap includes a main body and a sealing surface for sealing the opening of the receptacle. A lock/release mechanism is provided to lock the cap onto the receptacle, or enable the cap to be removed from the receptacle. A relief valve of the cap is activatable to relieve pressure within the receptacle. A grip overlies the main body and a relief valve actuator, enabling a user to activate the relief valve via the grip. The cap is configured to relieve pressure in a first stage of removal, and then unlock from the receptacle in a second stage of removal. A catch and secondary pressure relief features are provided to control removal of the cap. Magnets may be provided for proximity sensors to indicate proper closure of the cap on the receptacle.

Pressure relief cap
A pressure relief cap includes a body engageable with a container and rotatable about an axis for coupling or decoupling the body from the container. The pressure relief cap also includes a handle and a motion control mechanism operable to selectively couple the handle to the body. The motion control mechanism includes a clutch plate moveable between an engaged position in which the clutch plate permits torque transfer from the handle to the body, and a disengaged position in which the clutch plate inhibits torque transfer from the handle to the body. The pressure relief cap also includes a relief valve for releasing pressure in response to elevated pressure within the container.
Fuel filler structure
A fuel filler structure includes a vehicle body panel, a filler housing, a filler tube cap and a tether. The vehicle body panel defines a fuel filler opening. The filler housing has an outboard side and an inboard side. The outboard side is installed to the vehicle body panel at least partially surrounding the fuel filler opening and is dimensioned to receive and surround a portion of a fuel filler tube. The filler tube cap is configured to removably attach to the fuel filler tube at least partially within the filler housing. The tether is attached at a first end to the filler tube cap and is attached at a second end to the filler housing for pivoting movement about a vertical axis.
