FUEL/DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID COMBINATION AUXILIARY TANK
A diesel fuel and DEF combination tank provides a supplemental storage of diesel fuel and DEF for a vehicle. In particular, the combination tank comprises a first compartment for diesel fuel and a second compartment for DEF. Each compartment is provided with a respective outlet port for dispensing the fuel from the combination tank. Dispensing of fluid to the vehicle's fuel system is conducted by gravity feed or alternatively by pumping.
CHASSIS ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE
A chassis assembly for a vehicle is provided. The chassis assembly includes: an upper frame structure having at least two longitudinally extending upper side regions arranged on opposite sides of a longitudinal centre line. The upper side regions are connected to each other by upper connection portions. A front crash structure is configured to absorb energy during an impact generated from a vehicle collision, and extends in a transverse direction. The upper frame structure is connected to said front crash structure; wherein said chassis assembly further comprises: a lower frame structure having at least two longitudinally extending lower beams arranged on opposite sides of the longitudinal centre line, said lower beams being connected to each other by lower connection portions, and said lower frame structure is connected to said upper frame structure and to said front crash structure.
Battery pack and electric vehicle
A battery pack includes a first battery case accommodating a plurality of cells, and a second battery case laminated above the first battery case and accommodating a plurality of cells. The first battery case has a first through-hole on an upper surface. The second battery case has a second through-hole on a bottom surface which communicates with the first through-hole. The battery pack includes a communication port composed of the first through-hole and the second through-hole, a gas discharge valve which is provided only in either the first battery case or the second battery case and opens when internal pressure of the battery pack is higher than a predetermined value, and a temperature sensor provided on a gas flow path connected to the gas discharge valve.
Battery pack
A battery pack which is placed below a floor panel of a vehicle, includes a battery, a case for accommodating the battery, and a pressure release mechanism for releasing pressure inside the case. The pressure release mechanism includes a communication member which has one end and the other end and where the one end is connected to the case, and a gas discharge unit connected to the other end of the communication member and having a labyrinth structure.
COOLING SYSTEM FOR FUEL CELL
A truck or tractor semi-trailer combination interconnected via a fifth wheel, comprising a cabin and an air collection chamber, the air collection chamber provided between a rear end of the cabin and the semi-trailer and having a front wall substantially adjacent or identical to a cabin rear wall, and a rear wall distanced and substantially coplanar to the front wall, which air collection chamber is provided with an air accession structure and a heat exchanger, the air accession structure providing air access to the air collection chamber and towards the heat exchanger, said heat exchanger provided in the rear wall of the air collection chamber extending at least partly over a width of the truck and wherein said air accession structure comprises air accession side ports provided on the side walls of the air collection chamber designed to provide at least a passive air flow from the air accession side ports towards the heat exchanger.
Combined cooling and water braking system for a vehicle, and a method for cooling a propulsion device of a vehicle and water braking a pair of wheels of a vehicle
A combined cooling and water braking system for a vehicle comprises a first water recirculation loop having a first heat exchanger configured to cool water flowing in the first water recirculation loop, the first water recirculation loop comprising a water conduit for transporting heat away from a propulsion device configured to generate a propulsion power for the vehicle. A second water recirculation loop having a second heat exchanger is configured to cool water flowing in the second water recirculation loop. A retarder is configured to be coupled to a pair of wheels of the vehicle. The second water recirculation loop may be selectively used for cooling the propulsion device and for providing water to the retarder for water braking. There is also provided a method for cooling a propulsion device of a vehicle and water braking a pair of wheels of a vehicle.
Motor vehicle having a pressure vessel, and operating method for a motor vehicle
A motor vehicle with a pressure vessel system includes at least a first pressure vessel arranged in a first region of the motor vehicle and at least one second pressure vessel arranged in a second region of the motor vehicle having a lower intrusion probability than the first region. Fuel is preferentially removed first primarily from the at least one first pressure vessel. When the lower limit of fuel level or fuel temperature is reached in the at least one first pressure vessel, fuel is removed from the at least one second pressure vessel. If the fuel supply rate from the at least one first pressure vessel is lower than an overall fuel supply rate for an energy converter, fuel is removed from the at least one second pressure vessel to meet the overall fuel supply rate needed by the energy converter.
ELECTRIC REFUSE VEHICLE POWER MANAGEMENT
A refuse vehicle includes a vehicle chassis and an all-electric vehicle body on the chassis. The body includes a hopper, a refuse storage container, and a plurality of electrically powered body systems. The body systems include an electrically actuated tailgate, an electrically actuated refuse loading assembly, and an electrically actuated refuse packing assembly configured to remove refuse from the hopper and to pack said refuse in the storage container. The vehicle (e.g., vehicle body) further includes a power management module configured to regulate energy usage of the body systems and/or to record and track electrical energy usage in the body systems.
MULTIPART HOUSING AND ALERT SYSTEM
A nested shell enclosure covering behind the cab gaseous fuel tanks on a three dimensional structure. The method and system provides a releasable enclosure around the structure or a rack or the like formed by attaching a plurality of shell components which nest in a sequential pattern over the structure via housing latch assemblies formed on the interior wall surface of shell components to catch bracket assemblies attached to the structure and wherein the latch and catch assemblies releasably affix the enclosure shells to the structure and together without the use of threaded fasteners; and, wherein the shells components are nested and evenly disperse force along the perimeter edges where the shells overlap.
Vehicle lower structure
A vehicle lower structure includes: a battery pack having first and second battery units and a battery cover; and a fuel tank that is arranged on a vehicle rear side to be higher than the first and second battery units. At positions under a floor panel, the first and second battery units are arranged on both sides in a vehicle width direction of a propeller shaft. The battery cover has a coupling section that couples first and second battery accommodation sections. The coupling section couples the first and second battery accommodation sections such that a vehicle rear side thereof is higher than the first and second battery accommodation sections, extends in the vehicle width direction at a position above the propeller shaft, and is arranged next to a vehicle front side of the fuel tank.
