Information provision device and information provision method
An information provision device and an information provision method. Each of the information provision device and information provision method includes projecting an image light to a light transmission member so as to display a for-driver information image, sensing a relative distance of an object to be detected existing around the mobile object in the direction of travel, detecting a location of a viewpoint of the driver, and changing a position at which an object image indicating the object to be detected is displayed according to a result of the detecting so as to change a perception distance of the driver influenced by a motion parallax of the object image according to the relative distance of the object to be detected in the direction of travel.
Driving assistance device
A driving assistance device includes a target information acquisition device, a vehicle state information acquisition device, and an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to determine whether a specific condition which is set so as to be established when vehicle control is needed in accordance with a result of comparison between an index value and a predetermined threshold is established, perform the vehicle control for avoiding contact of the host vehicle with an obstacle or abnormal proximity of the host vehicle to the obstacle when the specific condition is determined to be established, and change at least one of the predetermined threshold and the index value based on a lateral distance so that the specific condition has more of a tendency to be established as the lateral distance decreases.
Method for Assisting a Use of a Motor Vehicle When Swerving Around an Obstacle, Driver Assistance Device, and a Motor Vehicle
This disclosure relates to a method for assisting a user of a motor vehicle when swerving around an obstacle on a movement path of the motor vehicle. A driver assistance device carries out the following: providing a warning signal which describes an object on the movement path and a collision area which is visible through a window, preferably a vehicle window of the motor vehicle and in which the object is located; defining a swerving area visible through the vehicle window, in which a swerving point for travelling around the object is visible, generating an accentuation signal, which describes a measure for accentuating the swerving area, and transmitting the accentuation signal to an accentuation device. Depending on the accentuation signal, the measure for accentuating the swerving area is carried out. The accentuation device can, for example, control a heads-up display and/or a monitor integrated into the vehicle window and/or a headlight.
Sensor-based acknowledgments between road traffic participants
A computer-implemented method, a computer program product, and a computer system for sensor-based acknowledgments between road traffic participants. One or more cameras on a vehicle identify a gaze direction of a driver of the vehicle. The one or more cameras identify a focused eye state of the driver. One or more object recognition sensors on the vehicle identify objects around the vehicle. The computer system determines whether an object is identified in the gaze direction. In response to the object being identified in the gaze direction, the computer system instructs a light indicator to emit light in a direction toward the object. The light indicator notifies a traffic participant associated with the object that the driver has seen the object.
System and method for motion onset consumer focus suggestion
A system and method for identifying content relevant to a vehicle occupant using a rotatably-mounted sensor in a field of view of the vehicle occupant. The rotatably-mounted sensor collects information and data from its surroundings. The information and data is processes to identify relevant content to be presented to the vehicle occupant. The rotatably-mounted sensor is configured to rotate in a manner that directs the occupants gaze in a direction of the relevant content being presented. The relevant content may be selected based on information that is known about the vehicle occupant, the vehicle location, the vehicle destination, the vehicle surroundings associated with the location and/or destination, and vendor relationships.
Presentation to user of indication of object at which another person is looking
In one aspect, a device includes at least one processor, a display accessible to the at least one processor, and storage accessible to the at least one processor. The storage includes instructions executable by the at least one processor to receive input regarding an object at which one person is looking and to present, to another person via the display, a graphical indication regarding the object.
Vehicle systems and methods for redirecting a driver's gaze towards an object of interest
Vehicle systems and methods for redirecting the direction of gaze of a driver towards an object are disclosed. In one embodiment, a vehicle includes an object detection system configured to output an object signal in response to detecting an object, a driver gaze monitoring system configured to output a direction signal, a heads-up display configured to generate a visual indicator, one or more processors and one or more non-transitory memory modules communicatively coupled to the one or more processors and storing machine-readable instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to perform at least at the following: determine an object and a respective location of the object based at least in part on the object signal from the object detection system, and determine a direction of gaze of a driver based at least in part on the direction signal from the driver gaze monitoring system.
PASSENGER VEHICLE WINDOW GLASS AND WARNING DISPLAY METHOD
A windshield (window glass for a vehicle) 10 is a window glass for a vehicle emitting visible light through incident radiation of excitation light that is irradiated from a light source, and an end part 10E of the window glass for a vehicle is capable of emitting light through irradiation with the excitation light. The present invention can provide window glass for a vehicle such as a car that enables a driver to easily check warning display without narrowing the interior space or obstructing the field of view in the vehicle.
Visual line guidance sheet, visual line guidance system, vehicle lighting apparatus, and vehicle
Provided is a sheet for drawing user's eyes and guiding the line of sight. A visual line guidance sheet is arranged to cover at least a part of a window for a user to look out therethrough, and configured to guide the user's line of sight, by illuminating a partial region on the visual line guidance sheet. The visual line guidance sheet includes an optically transparent substrate layer, a plurality of LED dies, and a wiring pattern. The controller receives from an imager, an image obtained by imaging a region visible by the user through the window, detects an object targeted for visual line guidance, included in the image, and illuminates the LED dies on the visual line guidance sheet, corresponding to a position of the object.
Information presentation apparatus
An information presentation apparatus is provided. A light emission device and a HCU are mounted on a vehicle as the information presentation apparatus. The light emission device is arranged on an instrument panel, and displays at least one light emission spot in a linear light emission area arranged to extend in a width direction of the vehicle. The HCU acquires monitoring information including at least position information of the risk target detected by the peripheral monitoring device, and calculates a risk level of the risk target, detected in a traveling direction of the vehicle, based on the monitoring information. When detecting a plurality of the risk targets, the HCU selects one of the risk targets having a highest risk level as a highest risk target, and displays the light emission spot, indicative of a direction of the highest risk target, in the linear light emission area.
