Vehicle accessory control system responsive to a portable GDO module
A control system of a vehicle includes a receiver disposed in the vehicle and operable to wirelessly receive signals generated by a portable garage door opening module when the portable garage door opening module is actuated. The portable garage door opening module includes a separate, non-integrated portable remote control garage door opening module. A control, responsive to the receiver wirelessly receiving signals generated by the portable garage door opening module, controls an accessory of the vehicle.
REMOTELY CONTROLLING VEHICLE TOUCHSCREEN CONTROLS
Techniques are described that facilitate remotely interfacing with a vehicle touchscreen. According to an embodiment, a method is provided comprising determining touch controls included in a GUI configured for displaying on a touchscreen of the vehicle, wherein the touch controls provide for controlling functions of the vehicle based on first interaction with the touch controls as displayed on the touchscreen. The method further comprises generating a representation of the GUI for display via an auxiliary display of the auxiliary device, the representation comprising one or more graphical controls corresponding to one or more touch controls of the touch controls, and enabling remote control of one or more functions of the functions of the vehicle by the auxiliary device based on second interaction with the one or more graphical controls as displayed via the auxiliary display.
Providing a communications channel between instances of automated assistants
Implementations relate to interactions, over a wireless communication modality, between an automated assistant of an automobile computer system, and separate client device(s). In some of those implementations, the client device(s) can be paired with the automobile computer system, and the client device(s) and the automobile computer system can include separate instances of an automated assistant, which can be associated with different user accounts. In some additional or alternative implementations, particular actions to be performed by a local application of a client device can be advanced via user interaction with the automobile automated assistant, despite a counterpart to the local application not being installed directly on automobile computer system. For example, despite an automobile computer system not having a third-party messaging application installed, the automobile automated assistant can access requested actions to be performed by the third-party messaging application in order to further a requested action. The automobile computer system can transmit, via the wireless communication modality, content to cause the third-party application to further the requested action.
Systems and methods for determining the driver of a vehicle
A system and method for disabling distracting apps on a driver's personal devices while allowing passengers travelling in the same vehicle to have full use of their personal devices. The system works by first identifying all the personal devices that are in the vehicle and then establishing a loose mesh network between those devices. Once the mesh network is established, the system identifies which of the personal devices is associated with the driver, and ensures that any distracting apps on the driver's personal device are disabled, while allowing full functionality for any passenger's personal devices.
Wireless Mirror Control Device
The present disclosure relates to a portable, hand held and/or mountable control device for remote controlling at least one device provided by a vehicle. The control device comprises one or more control applications and indicator icons on a touch sensitive display and one or more motion and orientation detection sensors. The control application provided as keys on the display is selected based on user input and based on the user selected control application the device to be controlled can be controlled wirelessly by voice, steering tilt or motion based operation of the control device. Additionally, the control device can determine a fault or a correct completion of controlling by monitoring the devices. The present disclosure also provides a method for remote controlling the at least one device provided by the vehicle.
Activate/deactivate functionality in response to environmental conditions
Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for executing an event pertaining to a vehicle and a user of the vehicle are presented. In some embodiments, a includes (a) detecting that a motion state of the vehicle is in a first state, (b) detecting a condition that warrants a change in the motion state of the vehicle to a second state, and (c) detecting the user of the vehicle's engagement in an activity that potentially impairs the user from performing an action to change the motion state of the vehicle to the second state. The method also includes, detecting the condition, and (c) detecting the user of the vehicle's engagement in the activity, executing an event to facilitate the change in the motion state of the vehicle to the second state.
IN-VEHICLE COMPONENT USER INTERFACE
A system may include an in-vehicle component, including a first control set to configure the component, configured to identify a device associated with a user approach to the component; and send an interaction request to the device to cause the device to display a user interface for the component including a second control set to configure the component, the second control set including at least one function unavailable in the first control set. A personal device may receive, from an in-vehicle component including a first control set to configure the component, a user interface definition descriptive of a second control set to configure the component; and receive, from the component, a request to display a user interface for the component including the second control set to configure the component, the second control set including at least one function unavailable in the first control set.
SCHEME FOR SETTING/USING ELECTRONIC DEVICE AS KEYLESS DEVICE OF VEHICLE AND ADJUSTING DEVICES IN THE VEHICLE
A portable electronic device to be used as a keyless device of a vehicle includes a controlling circuit which includes a physiological feature detection module and a processing circuit. The physiological feature detection module is used for detecting a physiological feature of a person. The processing circuit is coupled to the physiological feature detection module and used for determining whether the person is an authorized user of the vehicle according to the detected physiological feature of the person, and for opening a car door of the vehicle or starting the vehicle when the person is identified by the processing circuit as the authorized user.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF ONE OR MORE ACCESSORIES FOR A VEHICLE
A system comprising an interface module (IM) for receiving input and generating outputs, the IM being associated with processor (17) and memory (19); a controller module (18) (CM) that is operable independently of and communicatively connected to the IM and that is associated with processor (20) and memory (22) and that receives inputs and generates outputs to control accessories wherein each memory stores a copy of a parameter list (38) and rules governing generation of the outputs, wherein each of the IM and CM is configured such that responsive to each input, the processor of the respective module IM, CM defines a state in the associated copy of the list and communicates with the other module IM, CM to cause the state to be defined in the other copy, wherein each rule requires a state to be present in the list for generation of an associated output by each module.
VEHICLE INHIBITOR
Aspects of the present disclosure generally pertain to a vehicle inhibitor with an enhanced user interface and a system and method for overriding a vehicle inhibitor. This disclosure may be useful for providing an emergency override function for vehicle loan repayment enforcement systems that have wireless user interface modules, and that have become lost or inoperable when needed to generate an emergency override signal. Further, the present disclosure addresses this problem while mitigating additional system cost and additional components.
