An induction charging device for an electrically operated motor vehicle may include at least one charging assembly. The at least one charging assembly may include a charging coil, a ferrite assembly, a metal shielding plate, and a temperature-control assembly through which a fluid is flowable. The charging coil may be inductively couplable to a primary coil such that a motor vehicle battery is inductively chargeable. The ferrite assembly may include a plurality of rotatable ferrite plates arranged next to one another. When in a closed position, a respective ferrite plate may be arranged parallel to the charging coil and may shield the metal shielding plate from the charging coil. When in an open position, the respective ferrite plate may be arranged at an angle relative to the charging coil and may partially shield the metal shielding plate from the charging coil.

A vehicle comprises a battery, a temperature adjustment unit, an inlet, a relay unit, a relay unit, a relay unit, and an ECU. When a power charging station is connected to the inlet, the ECU controls the relay unit to assume a closed position to perform external charging to charge the battery by the power charging station. When the ECU drives the temperature adjustment unit during the external charging and a component on a charging path at an electrical path located between a branch point and a branch point is higher in temperature than a threshold temperature, the ECU controls the relay unit to assume an open position and the relay unit to assume a closed position.

A method for managing state of charge of a battery of an electric work vehicle to be ready to return to work at a return to work time that coincides with an end of a duration of immobilization. A charge mode is selected via a user interface. An initial state of charge of the battery and a target operational state of charge of the battery are used to calculate a targeted charge increase. A charge cycle comprising a charge rate is selected based on the charge mode and the targeted charge increase. A charging start time is calculated such that at the return to work time an actual state of charge of the battery corresponds to the target operational state of charge. The temperature of the battery is adjusted to be a target temperature at the charging start time. The charge cycle is started at the charging start time.
