WEIGHT PROFILE DETERMINATION SYSTEM
A weight profile determination system may be provided that includes a sensor and a controller. The sensor may be disposed along a route and configured to generate a plurality of force measurements of a vehicle system moving on the route relative to the sensor. The force measurements may be obtained at different times and correspond to different locations along a length of the vehicle system. The controller may determine a weight profile for the vehicle system based on the force measurements generated by the sensor. The weight profile can represent a distribution of weight along the length of the vehicle system. The controller may communicate the weight profile to one or more of the vehicle system or an offboard device for controlling movement of the vehicle system based on the weight profile.
METHOD FOR OPERATING AN ELECTRICALLY OPERATED OR ALSO ELECTRICALLY OPERABLE MOTOR VEHICLE AND MOTOR VEHICLE
A method for operating an electrically operated or also electrically operable motor vehicle provided with a rechargeable electric energy storage device associated with the drive motor of the motor vehicle. A target charging state is determined for the energy storage device and an operating strategy is determined for a route that is calculated, entered or predicted for the next trip, by which recuperative deceleration is enabled with a specifiable minimum amount for deceleration processes occurring along the route. A total mass of the motor vehicle, including optionally a trailer connected to the motor vehicle, deviating from an input normal value and an air resistance of the motor vehicle deviating from a predetermined normal value are taken into account.
CHARGING AMOUNT CALCULATION APPARATUS AND CHARGING SYSTEM
A charging amount calculation apparatus calculates an amount of power consumption by a battery for running along a running route and a during-running charging amount received by a power reception apparatus from at least one second power feeding facility. The charging amount calculation apparatus calculates a pre-running charging amount based on the amount of power consumption and the during-running charging amount.
LOADING ESTIMATION FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A vehicle control system includes a power inverter circuit configured to power an electric motor; an inertial measurement sensor; and a load determination circuit communicably coupled to the power inverter circuit and the inertial measurement sensor. The load determination circuit is configured to (i) receive an indication of vehicle torque from the power inverter circuit, (ii) receive an indication of acceleration from the inertial measurement sensor, and (iii) determine a mass of a vehicle based on the indication of vehicle torque and the indication of acceleration.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ACTUATING AN ELECTRICAL DRIVE OF A TRAILER VEHICLE
The disclosure relates to a method for actuating an electric drive of a trailer vehicle with a towing vehicle, including the steps: determining a current slip of at least one driven wheel of a towing vehicle pulling the trailer vehicle, determining an expected slip for the driven wheel of the towing vehicle, determining an acceleration demand depending on the determined current slip and the determined expected slip and actuating the electric drive depending on the acceleration demand. The disclosure also relates to a control unit for executing the method, a towing vehicle, a trailer vehicle and a vehicle combination.

ELECTRIC REFUSE VEHICLE POWER MANAGEMENT
A refuse vehicle includes a vehicle chassis and an all-electric vehicle body on the chassis. The body includes a hopper, a refuse storage container, and a plurality of electrically powered body systems. The body systems include an electrically actuated tailgate, an electrically actuated refuse loading assembly, and an electrically actuated refuse packing assembly configured to remove refuse from the hopper and to pack said refuse in the storage container. The vehicle (e.g., vehicle body) further includes a power management module configured to regulate energy usage of the body systems and/or to record and track electrical energy usage in the body systems.

The vehicle includes at least two carriages, and the driving control method includes the following steps: obtaining battery level information of a power battery corresponding to each of the carriages; obtaining at least one of a level allocated to each carriage or a payload allocated to each carriage according to the battery level information of the power battery corresponding to each carriage; and obtaining an output torque of each carriage according to the at least one of the level allocated to each carriage or the payload allocated to each carriage.
