Control device
A control device for a hybrid vehicle is provided with a driving plan preparing part preparing a driving plan setting one or more via-points on a projected route from a starting point to a destination to divide the projected route into a plurality of driving routes and divide the driving routes further into pluralities of driving sections and setting which driving mode of an EV mode or HV mode to drive over in each driving section and with a driving mode switching part switching the driving modes according to a driving plan. The driving plan preparing part is configured to be able to prepare a driving plan setting the driving modes of all driving sections in at least one driving route to the EV mode.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ENERGY MANAGEMENT FOR DUAL ENERGY STORAGE
An electrical energy management system includes a first battery having a nominal operating voltage, a second battery having a charging voltage sufficiently close to the nominal operating voltage of the first battery such that the first battery can charge the second battery when the first battery and the second battery are electrically connected in parallel, a generator that is controllable to provide a variable output voltage, a starter motor, an electrical load, a plurality of switches each controllable to be in an open state or a closed state, and a controller that is configured to control the output voltage of the generator and to control the open or closed state of each of the plurality of switches.
Electrified military vehicle
An energy storage system for a military vehicle includes a lower support, a battery supported on the lower support, a bracket coupled to the battery, and an upper isolator mount coupled between the bracket and a wall. The upper isolator mount is configured to provide front-to-back vibration isolation of the battery relative to the wall.
Method for controlling heating of hybrid vehicle
A method for controlling heating of a hybrid vehicle is provided. The vehicle includes a duct flowing air into the indoor of the hybrid vehicle from the outside, a heater core for circulating the coolant heated from an engine inside the duct, a PTC heater heated by the power supplied from a high-voltage battery of the hybrid vehicle inside the duct, and a controller. The controller operates the engine and the PTC heater and heats the air flowing into the indoor of the hybrid vehicle through the duct. The voltage supplied to the PTC heater from a low voltage DC-DC converter (LDC) is changed based on the state of the engine and an auxiliary battery for supplying power to an electric component of the vehicle to apply power to the PTC heater.
Thermal management system for range extender vehicle
An electric drivetrain for installation in a vehicle chassis. A generator coupled to an engine generates electric power for charging an array of batteries. The vehicle, including components and subsystems, may be powered electrically from the batteries, allowing the engine and generator to be easily replaced or customized for an industry, geographic region, fuel type, or a set of emission requirements. A thermal management system may determine a battery temperature for the set of batteries and cause one or more of a coolant system, a refrigerant system, an exhaust gas system or an ambient air heat exchanger to add heat to the set of batteries or transfer heat away from the set of batteries.
Hybrid vehicle drive system and method and idle reduction system and method
One embodiment relates to a hybrid vehicle drive system for a vehicle including a first prime mover, a first prime mover driven transmission, a rechargeable power source, and a PTO. The hybrid vehicle drive system can include a control system for reducing or eliminating regenerative braking during a traction control or anti-lock braking event.
Thermal management system for vehicles with an electric powertrain
This patent application is directed to thermal management systems of vehicles with an electric powertrain. More specifically, the battery system and one or more powertrain components and/or cabin climate control components of a vehicle share the same thermal circuit as the battery module through which heat can be exchanged between the battery module and one or more powertrain or climate control components as needed.
CHARGING AND HEATING CIRCUIT AND VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM HAVING A CHARGING AND HEATING CIRCUIT
A charging and heating circuit is equipped with an AC voltage connection, a DC voltage connection and a rectifier. The rectifier is connected between the AC voltage connection and the DC voltage connection. The charging and heating circuit further includes a heating resistor which is connected to the rectifier and the rectifier is thereby set up to supply the heating resistor with current. Also described is a vehicle electrical system which includes the charging and heating circuit in addition to an accumulator.
RAPID ACCELERATION MODE SYSTEM OF VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
Disclosed are a rapid acceleration mode system of a vehicle and a method for controlling the same which may provide personalized user options for rapid acceleration. In particular embodiments, the system includes an input device configured to receive a user input regarding whether or not to select a rapid acceleration mode; a storage configured to store at least one of a state reference of a battery and a state reference of a vehicle powertrain; a notification device configured to inform a user whether or not the vehicle enters the rapid acceleration mode; and a controller configured to determine whether or not the vehicle is capable of entering the rapid acceleration mode, and to output whether or not the vehicle is capable of entering the rapid acceleration mode through the notification device.
