A vehicle having a motor with a transmission, provided with a fixed gear ratio, to a propelling unit includes a virtual gearbox including a microprocessor, operatively interfaced with the motor and programmed to manage and check the generation of motor driving torque, limiting, at the motor output, a maximum angular velocity and a maximum torque which are variable with a predetermined law.

CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE

A control system for an electric vehicle configured to simulate an engine stall which might occur in conventional vehicles while preventing the simulation of the engine stall in an unfavorable situation. A controller of the control system is configured to: execute an engine stall control to simulate a behavior of the conventional vehicle in a situation where an engine stall occurs by stopping a motor, when a virtual engine speed calculated by a virtual engine speed calculator falls below a predetermined speed; and execute a hold assist control to apply a brake torque to the wheel by the brake device upon execution of the engine stall control.

The electric vehicle includes a motor, an inverter configured to exchange three-phase power with the motor, a main battery unit which may be electrically connected to the inverter, includes a first battery and a first BMS for controlling the first battery, and may be fixedly disposed in the electric vehicle, an OBC which may be connected between the main battery unit and the inverter and includes a DC converter, and a switch unit configured to selectively connect a connector and the DC converter to each other, or the connector and the motor to each other, in which, when a swappable battery unit including a second battery and a second BMS for controlling the second battery may be connected to the connector, the first BMS acquires second-battery information output by the second BMS.

Hybrid/electric vehicle control system

A vehicle includes a powertrain having an electric machine and a controller. The controller is programmed to, responsive to an accelerator pedal position exceeding a first threshold for a predetermined time period or a lateral acceleration of the vehicle being greater than a second threshold, transition the powertrain from a nominal driving mode to a performance driving mode. The controller is also programmed to, responsive to an increase in a steering wheel angle while in the nominal mode, maintain a power output of the electric machine at a driver demanded power defined by the accelerator pedal position. The controller is further programmed to, responsive to an increase in a steering wheel angle while in the performance driving mode, reduce a power output of the electric machine to less than the driver demanded power.

Automatic powertrain operation for maintenance of neutral operation

A method for managing electrical Key Off Load (KOL) and other potentially damaging operational conditions in a vehicle while in a neutral mode setting, comprising: determining a vehicle drivetrain is in the neutral mode setting; determining an operational characteristic that changes with time while the vehicle is in the neutral mode setting; performing, via a vehicle control module and based on the neutral mode setting and the operational characteristic, vehicle actions comprising engaging an automated start powertrain activation while the vehicle is in the neutral mode setting.

ELECTRIFIED VEHICLE

In an electrified vehicle, a vibration damping control device performs vibration damping control for canceling or reducing, with the use of regenerative braking, a predetermined vibration component by monitoring the vibration component and controlling a generator control device depending on the vibration component. A system control device determines whether the vibration damping control is performable based on at least a charge status of a battery. An anti-lock braking system control device transmits a request signal to the system control device while performing anti-lock braking system control. The system control device transmits a command signal to the vibration damping control device when the vibration damping control is determined to be performable and the request signal is received from the anti-lock braking system control device. The vibration damping control device performs the vibration damping control when the command signal is received from the system control device.

Pulsed control of electric motors, and more particularly, to selectively adjusting one or more of a pulsing frequency, an amplitude of the pulses and/or a duty cycle of the pulses for reducing Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) while maintaining high levels of operating efficiency.

Differential assembly
11624433 · 2023-04-11 · ·

A downsized differential assembly having a simple structure, which can be mounted easily on automobiles. The differential assembly comprises a set of first to third gears arranged coaxially while being allowed to rotate relatively to one another. A first eccentric gear meshes with the first gear, a second eccentric gear meshes with the second gear, and a third eccentric gear meshes with the third gear, while being supported by an eccentric member in such a manner as to rotate around an eccentric axis which is offset from a rotational axis. Gear ratios between the first to third gears and the first to third eccentric gears are set to different values so that rotational speeds of the first gear and the second gear are reduced slower than that of the eccentric member.
