Underbody charging of vehicle batteries
A system for charging one or more batteries of a vehicle may include a charging box mounted to a vehicle to facilitate connection to a charge coupler from under the vehicle. The charge coupler may be configured to provide an electrical connection between an electrical power source and the charging box. A vehicle including the charging box may maneuver to a position above the charge coupler, after which electrical contacts of the charging box and the charge coupler may be brought into contact with one another. The charge coupler and/or the charging box may be configured to provide electrical communication between the electrical power source and the one or more batteries, so that the electrical power source may charge one or more of the batteries. Thereafter, the electrical contacts may be separated from one another, and the vehicle may maneuver away from the charge coupler.
POWER SUPPLY APPARATUS AND POWER SUPPLY METHOD
The power supply apparatus includes a power transmission apparatus configured to transmit power to a power reception apparatus of the vehicle by non-contact and a processor configured to control the power transmission apparatus, detect a pickup/dropoff operation at the vehicle when power is being supplied by non-contact from the power supply apparatus to the vehicle, and detect a number of surrounding vehicles being supplied with power by non-contact in a predetermined range at surroundings of the power supply apparatus. The processor is configured to decrease power transmitted from the power transmission apparatus to the power reception apparatus when detecting a pickup/dropoff operation, and determine an amount of decrease of the transmitted power based on the number of surrounding vehicles.
USER INTERFACE CONTROL SERVER AND METHOD FOR REMOTE CONTROL MANAGEMENT OF MARINE DOCK ELECTRIC CHARGING STATIONS
A marine power pedestal is disclosed. The power pedestal is configured to connect to a mobile device comprising a main body, one or more electrical power units disposed in the main body and configured to conduct power to a marine vessel, one or more display screens, one or more sensors. A controller including a network interface is configured to communicate with a mobile device via a communication network, transmit data to a server via the communication network, and execute commands received, via the communication network, from the server or the mobile device.
Electric power motion apparatus and lease management method of electric power motion apparatus
A lease management method of an electric power motion apparatus includes acquiring location information, an advancement direction and a battery state of the electric power motion apparatus; additionally adjusting the advancement direction of the electric power motion apparatus to face towards the lease station such that the electric power motion apparatus faces towards the lease station based on normal adjustment and control if the electric power motion apparatus is located outside a lease range of a lease station; and additionally controlling the electric power motion apparatus to decelerate, and additionally adjusting the advancement direction of the electric power motion apparatus to face towards the lease station such that the electric power motion apparatus advances towards the lease station based on normal adjustment and control if a remaining power amount of the electric power motion apparatus approaches a power amount for returning to the lease station.
BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND BATTERY MANAGEMENT METHOD
The present application includes: battery packs; a battery exchanger for storing and charging the battery packs and renting the charged battery packs to users; a management server for managing battery exchange at the battery exchanger; and a registration machine for acquiring face images for registration used in face authentication of the users. The registration machine acquires the face images for registration and specific information which is information other than the face images and is used to specify the users, and the management server acquires the specific information of each user from the registration machine to perform user management, compares a face image for authentication acquired from a captured image of a person who has visited for battery exchange with the face images for registration to face match to determine whether the person is a legitimate user, and determines whether the battery exchange is permitted based on the face matching.
Management apparatus, management method, and program
A management apparatus includes an acquirer configured to acquire vehicle usage state information about a usage state of a vehicle, and a processing unit configured to apply the vehicle usage state information to a model which outputs feature amounts when vehicle usage information is input thereto to acquire the feature amounts, to select a secondary battery recommended to be mounted in the vehicle for which the vehicle usage state information is acquired from secondary batteries providable as the secondary battery to be mounted in the vehicle and storing electric power for travel on the basis of the acquired feature amounts, and to present the selected secondary battery.
Aggregating energy resources
A method for controlling an energy terminal, comprises determining a metric indicating a future availability of an energy resource at an energy terminal based on usage data associated to use of the energy resource by the energy terminal, generating control data to control the distribution of the energy resource between the energy terminal and an energy infrastructure based on the metric, and communicating the control data to the energy terminal.
VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A control system includes one or more processors that obtain event data associated with a vehicle. The processors also receive a statement including a designated chargeable usage of the vehicle, and access one or more rules dictating rule-based chargeable usage of the vehicle. The processors may compare the event data with the one or more rules to determine the rule-based chargeable usage of the vehicle based on the event data and to compare the rule-based chargeable usage with the designated chargeable usage to identify one or more discrepancies between the rule-based chargeable usage and the designated chargeable usage. Further, the processors may, responsive to identifying the one or more discrepancies, generate a reconciliation request for correcting the one or more discrepancies and communicate the reconciliation request to the entity that issued the statement.
Digital Key With Monetary Value
The disclosure is directed to use of digital keys in providing access to secured locations, goods and resources as well as other assets. The access may be fee based with the disclosure further directed to including fee payment authorization into the access process. Electronic locks may be employed within modules to faciltiate the access. The digital keys may be accompanied with commands for the electronic locks and/or modules accomodating them to execute in the course of providing the access. The digital keys may be shared, limited to single or multiple use and may be lock agnostic. The commands may be sent from a smart mobile device and be digitally signed for subsequent attestation by the lock for authenticity verification. The digital keys may be generated and otherwise handled under one of a series of escalating security encryption methods typically used and reserved for financial transactions.
Systems and methods for switching modes of providing content on a charging station display
A charging station for an electric vehicle determines that a first person is in proximity to the charging station and identifies whether the first person is a user of the charging station. In accordance with a determination that the first person is a user of the charging station, the charging station provides, using a first mode for selecting content for users of the charging station, first content for display. The charging station determines that a second person is in proximity to the charging station and identifies whether the second person is a user of the charging station. In accordance with the determination that the second person is not a user of the charging station, the charging station provides, using a second mode for selecting content distinct from the first mode for selecting content, second content for display. The second mode provides content for non-users of the charging station.
