PROPOSAL SYSTEM
A proposal system includes a processor. The processor is configured to propose to a user of a battery electric vehicle a rental vehicle the user is able to use during charging of an energy storage device mounted on the battery electric vehicle in order to allow the user to use the battery electric vehicle in a charged state in which the energy storage device has been charged.
DYNAMIC ALLOCATION OF POWER MODULES FOR CHARGING ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Dynamic allocation of power modules for charging electric vehicles is described herein. The charging system includes multiple dispensers that each include one or more power modules that can supply power to any one of the dispensers at a time. A dispenser includes a first power bus that is switchably connected to one or more local power modules and switchably connected to one or more power modules located remotely in another dispenser. The one or more local power modules are switchably connected to a second power bus in the other dispenser. The dispenser includes a control unit that is to cause the local power modules and the remote power modules to switchably connect and disconnect from the first power bus to dynamically allocate the power modules between the dispenser and the other dispenser.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOCKING A CHARGING PORT TO CHARGE AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A system and method for locking a charging port to charge an electric vehicle that includes determining that the electric vehicle is located within a predetermined distance of a charging station and determining when the charging port of an electric vehicle supply equipment of the charging station is attached to the electric vehicle to actively charge the electric vehicle. The system and method also include determining if the charging station accesses a parking citation associated with parking of the electric vehicle if the electric vehicle is not attached to the charging port. The system and method additionally include locking the charging port to the electric vehicle to disallow decoupling of the charging port from the electric vehicle by an unauthorized individual to avoid the parking citation.
Electric vehicle (EV) charge unit reservations
A computer implemented method for managing charge availability of a charge unit (CU) to obtain charge for a battery of an electric vehicle (EV) is provided. The CU includes a computer for processing at least part of the method and for communicating with a server over a network. The method includes receiving, by the server, status information from the computer of the CU. The method includes sending to the computer of the CU instructions to make a reservation for the CU. The reservation is for a user account that has requested a desire to charge the battery of the electric vehicle of the user at the CU or another CU. The method includes sending, by the server, a confirmation for the reservation to the user account. The confirmation is viewable via a device having access to the server via the user account. The method includes sending, by the server, a data regarding a time of availability of the CU to the user account for the reservation. The computer of the CU is configured to display a visual indicator regarding the reservation of the CU.
Methods and Systems for Sharing e-Keys to Access Vehicles
Methods and systems are provided. One method includes processing operations to share electronic keys (e-keys). The method includes receiving a request to share an electronic key (e-key) of a vehicle with a recipient device. The request to share the e-key is initiated by sending a message to the recipient device using a sharing device. The method includes processing the request to validate the request to share the e-key, as received from the sharing device having associated therewith a registered owner e-key. Processing the request includes generating the e-key securely by the sharing device and registering the e-key that was generated with a server associated with a manufacturer of the vehicle. The method includes enabling the e-key for use on the vehicle by the recipient device responsive to said processing of the request. The request to share the e-key includes enabling a setting to apply a privilege level for use of the vehicle via the e-key. The privilege level provides one or more conditions of use of the vehicle via the e-key.
CONTROL DEVICE OF VEHICLE AND VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM
A vehicle information DB holds information on whether or not a vehicle falls under a welfare vehicle provided with an assistance apparatus for a driver who has a lower limb impairment. A power feed facility DB holds position information of a power feed facility and information indicating whether the power feed facility falls under a contact type power feed facility or a wireless power feed facility. A processing apparatus creates a travel route such that a larger number of wireless power feed facilities are included along the travel route when the vehicle falls under the welfare vehicle than when the vehicle does not fall under the welfare vehicle.
CONTROL DEVICE, DISASTER SUPPORT SYSTEM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An ECU acquires history information on whether there is an experience of external power supply by a vehicle, and the ECU determines whether a user of the vehicle has experienced the external power supply, based on the history information. In a case where the ECU determines that the user has not experienced the external power supply of the vehicle, the ECU outputs recommendation information that recommends the user to experience the external power supply of the vehicle.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE AND INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM
An information processing device according to the present application includes a hardware processor functioning as an acquisition unit, a determination unit, and a provision unit. The acquisition unit acquires user information that is information relative to a user. The determination unit determines a recommended battery on the basis of the user information acquired by the acquisition unit. The recommended battery is recommended to the user and used for a moving object. The provision unit provides information relative to the recommended battery determined by the determination unit.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CHARGING AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE BASED ON INFERRED DWELL TIME
Systems and methods are provided herein for charging an electric vehicle based on the inferred dwell time of a user of the electric vehicle. This may be accomplished by an electric vehicle charging station (EVCS) receiving a request from a user to charge an electric vehicle. The EVCS can use the request to identify a profile associated with the user, wherein the profile comprises user information related to the user. The EVCS then estimates a dwell time for the user using the user information. The EVCS can use the dwell time to estimate a total charge time for the electric vehicle. The EVCS then charges the electric vehicle based on the estimated charge time.
System and method for locking a charging port to charge an electric vehicle
A system and method for locking a charging port to charge an electric vehicle that includes determining that the electric vehicle is located within a predetermined distance of a charging station and determining that the charging station issues parking citations associated with parking of the electric vehicle at the charging station without attachment of the charging port to the electric vehicle. The system and method also include determining charging of the electric vehicle and sending a command to enable a locking mechanism of the charging port to lock the charging port in place. The system and method further include completing user authentication with respect to an operator of the electric vehicle to disable the locking mechanism to ensure that the charging port is not detached by an unauthorized individual and that parking citations are not issued based on the parking of the electric vehicle at the charging station.
