The control unit is configured to change an allocation of driving force between the one or more front electric motors and the one or more rear electric motors with a bias toward the rear wheels in a case where the operation amount of the accelerator is increased at or above a predetermined rate in a state in which the vehicle speed is higher than or equal to a predetermined speed.
METHOD FOR DETECTING STATE OF BATTERY INSTALLED IN VEHICLE, AND VEHICLE-MOUNTED BATTERY-MONITORING DEVICE
A method of detecting safe and other states of battery while electric vehicle is being driven controls an inverter to generate ripple current on the battery; ripple voltages of a plurality of battery cells are measured, voltage phase shifts between the battery cells are calculated. The battery can be analyzed as normal or otherwise according to the voltage phase shift between plurality of the battery cells. A vehicle-mounted device and a non-volatile storage medium therein, for performing the above-described method, are also disclosed.
CONTROL DEVICE
When an acceleration degree of a vehicle in a state of an electric motor generating torque as motive power is small compared to the acceleration degree of the vehicle in a state of being propelled using that torque, a user is notified by displaying a warning on a display which is a notification device of the vehicle.
CONTROL APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
A control apparatus for a vehicle includes an offset torque calculator configured to perform calculation of offset torque to be applied to at least one wheel of the vehicle. The offset torque is required to stop the vehicle on a sloping road having a predetermined gradient. The control apparatus includes a motor controller configured to, for stopping the vehicle on the sloping road having the predetermined gradient, perform control of causing output torque of the motor-generator to asymptotically approach the offset torque.
ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE ELECTRIC VEHICLE

The one or more front electric motors are configured to directly drive front wheels. The one or more rear electric motors are configured to directly drive rear wheels. The accelerator sensor is configured to determine an operation amount of an accelerator. The vehicle speed sensor is configured to determine vehicle speed. The control unit is configured to control drive of the one or more front and rear electric motors based on the operation amount of the accelerator and the vehicle speed.
BACKLASH VIBRATION REDUCTION APPARATUS AND METHOD
Disclosed are a backlash vibration reduction apparatus and method capable of sufficiently performing gear alignment even when torque is increased while a vehicle is driven within a low torque range, thereby minimizing rough vibration due to backlash. The backlash vibration reduction apparatus includes a correction determination unit configured to determine whether it is necessary to correct a torque gradient to be applied for an increase to target torque in the state in which the current torque of a vehicle is retained within a predetermined low torque range and a torque gradient correction unit configured to determine a corrected torque gradient in which a torque increase rate per hour is reduced and a torque increase time period is extended by multiplying a correction factor by a first torque gradient as a torque gradient that increases the current torque upon determining that it is necessary to correct the torque gradient.
Torque deration in response traction control events
A method, apparatus, and system are disclosed for incrementally derating a torque applied by a drivetrain in response a number of traction control events detected by a traction control system over a predetermined time period.
Electrically driven vehicle
There is provided an electrically driven vehicle that well balances calculation volumes and communication volumes of two control devices configured to drive and control motors for driving. The electrically driven vehicle comprises at least one motor for driving and a first control device and a second control device configured to control the motor. The first control device is configured to calculate a target torque that is to be output from the motor, based on information including an accelerator position, to calculate a current command based on the calculated target torque, and to send the calculated current command to the second control device. The second control device is configured to use the current command, a phase current of the motor and a rotational angle of the motor such as to drive the motor by feedback control.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE BRAKING
Methods and systems are provided for utilizing a parking brake in conjunction with negative torque from an electric motor during vehicle braking. In one example, a method may include applying the parking brake in conjunction with negative torque from the electric motor, until the vehicle speed reduces to a speed threshold, and then releasing the parking brake.
Hybrid/electric vehicle control system
A vehicle includes a powertrain having an electric machine and a controller. The controller is programmed to, responsive to an accelerator pedal position exceeding a first threshold for a predetermined time period or a lateral acceleration of the vehicle being greater than a second threshold, transition the powertrain from a nominal driving mode to a performance driving mode. The controller is also programmed to, responsive to an increase in a steering wheel angle while in the nominal mode, maintain a power output of the electric machine at a driver demanded power defined by the accelerator pedal position. The controller is further programmed to, responsive to an increase in a steering wheel angle while in the performance driving mode, reduce a power output of the electric machine to less than the driver demanded power.
