Dynamic safe state control of electrical motor based on vehicle speed
A dynamic safe state control circuit is disclosed that controls an electrical motor based on vehicle speed. A microcontroller or other processing device is configured to control an inverter system of an electrical motor. The dynamic safe state control circuit is configured to receive a first signal that corresponds to a speed of the electric motor. The circuit is configured to activate any one of a plurality of safe states in the inverter system based on the first signal and in response to a malfunction in the microcontroller.

A vehicle power supply system, being mounted on a vehicle, includes: a main power supply system including a main low-voltage power supply and a normal load; and a backup power supply system including a backup low-voltage power supply and an emergency important load and connected to the main power supply system. A backup power supply control device of the backup power supply system is configured to execute a backup low-voltage power supply state estimation processing, and output a signal indicating that the backup low-voltage power supply is in a state allowing supplying electric power for operating the emergency important load based on an estimation result of the backup low-voltage power supply state estimation processing, in a case in which the state of the vehicle does not satisfy a predetermined condition.
HIGH VOLTAGE CUTOFF FOR ELECTRIFIED VEHICLES
Systems and methods provide an alternative high voltage cutoff technique for disconnecting a high voltage battery from an electrical network of a vehicle in the event of a fault condition. Embodiments include a vehicle system comprising an electrical bus and a battery module coupled to the electrical bus via a contactor and a disconnector. The vehicle system further includes a controller configured to switch the contactor to an open state, upon receiving a fault condition signal, and if the contactor failed to open, activating the disconnector to break electrical connection between the battery module and the electrical bus. In some embodiments, the fault condition signal is generated upon detecting a vehicular impact. In some embodiments, the disconnector is a pyrotechnic device powered by a vehicle battery included in the vehicle system.
POWER DISTRIBUTION MODULE
A power distribution module including: a power line connecting between a battery and a load; a main relay connected to the power line; an active fuse connected to the power line on the battery side relative to the main relay; a first voltage converter connected to the power line on the load side relative to the main relay; an abnormality detection unit configured to detect an abnormality of the power line; and a first driving/control wiring extending from the first voltage converter and connected to the active fuse, wherein a first control unit mounted on the first voltage converter transmits a control signal for disconnecting the active fuse when the abnormality detection unit detects an abnormality of the power line, and the active fuse is disconnected.
MOTOR CONTROL SYSTEM AND VEHICLE
A motor control system includes a main control unit, a power supply unit, and a driving unit. The main control unit obtains sampling data of a motor and a power supply signal from the driving unit, generates a motor control signal according to the sampling data, and outputs a safety enable signal when determining that motor drive is abnormal according to the sampling data or when determining that power supply to the driving unit is abnormal according to the power supply signal. The power supply unit supplies power to the main control unit, monitors a state of the main control unit, and outputs a safety cut-off signal when the power supply unit or the main control unit is abnormal. The driving unit drives the motor according to the motor control signal, and switches to a safe path when receiving any one of the safety enable or safety cut-off signal.
Redundant power bridge battery architecture
