Device and method for the detection of wear on a sliding contact and brushgear system
A device and method for detection of wear of a sliding contact which may be displaced along a brushgear, includes a sensor and a measurement indicator designed for detection by the sensor. The sensor and the measurement indicator approach or move away from each other by a shortening of the sliding contact caused by wear, and a brushgear system. The problem of enabling simple, reliable detection of the practically complete wear of the sliding contact is addressed by the sensor being designed for contactless and/or contacting detection of the measurement indicator, and by means of a brushgear system having a device of this kind, and also a method of this kind in which the sensor detects the measurement indicator becoming closer to the sensor contactlessly and/or contactingly and, when a threshold value for a predetermined wear of the sliding contact is exceeded, issues a warning signal.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SUPPORTING ELEVATED POWER RAILS
A modular structure supports elevated rail segments for delivering electrical power to a moving work machine, such as a hauler at a mining site. Opposite ends of a roadside barrier contain complementary tubular couplers arranged vertically. A lower end of a dielectric post positioned in one of the tubular couplers has opposing dielectric plates at an upper end. A top edge of each plate has a creepage concavity between a pair of rail recesses. Another dielectric post of similar configuration is positioned in the other of the tubular couplers. Holes within the couplers and the posts ensure alignment of respective rail recesses in which conductive rails are placed. Dielectric inserts frictionally lock the rails into the rail recesses.
RELOCATABLE BASE FOR ELEVATED POWER RAILS AND METHOD OF DEPLOYMENT
A modular structure supports elevated rail segments for delivering electrical power to a moving work machine, such as a hauler at a mining site. Opposite ends of a roadside barrier contain complementary tubular couplers arranged vertically, one having a first diameter supported by an arm and the other having a larger second diameter and a vertical slot. Couplers on adjacent barriers can be mated together concentrically along a central axis. The mated couplers help restrict longitudinal displacement, lateral displacement, slope change, and lateral rotation between adjacent barriers during placement. One barrier may be used as a temporary alignment structure to position barriers spaced altematingly along a haul route for the work machine.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR JOINING POWER RAIL SEGMENTS
A modular structure supports elevated rail segments for delivering electrical power to a moving work machine, such as a hauler at a mining site. End portions of rail segments having narrower widths than body portions of the rail segments are joined within a split fishplate. Laterally opposing faces within the narrowed end portions form a longitudinal overlap, and connectors underneath the rail segments pull the split fishplate together against the end portions. In arrangements with parallel rails around a curvature, the rail segments are adjusted by sliding so that the longitudinal overlap is larger for rails on an inside of the curvature compared with rails on an outside of the curvature.
BUSBAR FIXING
A conductor rail has at least one electrically conductive conductor rail element and an electrically insulating sheath. The electrically insulating sheath comprises at least one first component and at least one second component. The at least one first component comprises a material having an elastic modulus of greater than or equal to 800 N/mm.sup.2. The at least one second component comprises a material having an elastic modulus of less than or equal to 300 N/mm.sup.2.
Systems and methods for providing a track for an industrial cart
A track system for a cart includes a plurality of curved modular track sections for the cart. Each of the plurality of curved modular track sections includes one or more rails configured to engage with the cart on the track, and one or more reservoir sections configured to receive liquid from the cart. Each of the plurality of curved modular track is tilted relative to ground by a predetermined angle such that the one or more reservoir sections are configured to direct the liquid to a predetermined area. Each of the plurality of curved modular track sections includes a gear system configured to engage with a gear of the cart.

A housing for a sunken electric road track configured to conductively provide electric power to a vehicle is presented. The housing comprising: a bottom plate extending in a longitudinal direction (L); opposing side walls protruding from the bottom plate; and opposing lateral flanges extending in the longitudinal direction (L), the opposing lateral flanges extending in the longitudinal direction (L) forming lateral protrusions for providing anchoring of the housing in a fixating mass used for fixating the housing in a groove of a roadway (40). Also, a sunken electric road track comprising such a housing is presented as well as a method for arranging a sunken electric road track along a road.

Simulation system for current collecting surface of C-type contact rail
A simulation system for a current collecting surface of a C-shaped contact rail includes a double-headed rail and a limiting plate. A current collecting end surface of the double-headed rail has a same current collection area as an actual C-shaped contact rail. The limiting plate matches the inner contour of the C-shaped contact rail. A constructed test line can simulate the current collecting status of the C-shaped contact rail. The limiting plate and the existing double-headed rail are combined, and compared with reproduction of the C-shaped contact rail, the manufacturing cycle is short, the costs are low, and it is applicable to the test line.
