A floating seat may have at least one seat shell with a seat surface region and a backrest region. The seat may also have a base element on which the seat shell is arranged in an adjustable manner, and an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the seat shell relative to the base element and/or a seat base. The adjustment mechanism has at least one adjustment unit for adjusting the seat shell and at least one drive unit which is designed to lock the base element and the seat shell in place in a self-locking manner. The lock can be released by a force introduced into the adjustment unit by an occupant sitting in the seat shell via said seat shell as well as by a force introduced into the adjustment unit by the drive unit.

The restraint diagnostic loop can include a diagnostic signal amplifier. In examples that include both the deployment signal amplifier and the diagnostic signal amplifier, the deployment signal amplifier and the diagnostic signal amplifier may be wired in parallel.

A vehicle includes a rail-mounted component and a restraint monitoring system. The rail-mounted component can include one or more restraints. The frame has an upper section defining the top of the operator compartment and being constructed and arranged to support a solar panel. The solar panel is electrically connected to at least one battery which is connected to the frame and which provides power to the vehicle. A front caster wheel is rotatable connected to a caster wheel arm which is rotatably connected to the upper frame section. A control computer is connected to the rear wheel motors, motorized chair movement device, caster wheel arm and foot/leg rest. A plurality of operator controls are connected to the first movable chair and operably connected to the control computer for operating the vehicle.
