ARTICULATING FLEXMAT SEAT SUSPENSION
A vehicle seating assembly includes a frame and an articulating flexmat assembly operably coupled with the frame. The articulating flexmat assembly includes an upper flexmat extending from a first side of the frame to a second side of the frame and a lower flexmat extending from the first side of the frame to the second side of the frame. The upper flexmat includes an upper static portion and an upper dynamic portion disposed above the upper static portion and adjustable by upper linear actuators that draw the upper dynamic portion toward the upper static portion to arc the upper flexmat outward. The lower flexmat includes a lower static portion adjacent to the upper static portion and a lower dynamic portion disposed below the lower static portion and adjustable by lower linear actuators that draw the lower dynamic portion toward the lower static portion to arc the lower flexmat outward.
ARTICULATING FLEXMAT SEAT SUSPENSION
A vehicle seating assembly includes a seat carrier defining a central opening. A seatback is pivotally coupled to the seat carrier. A seat flexmat is disposed in the central opening and operable between flexed and unflexed conditions. The vehicle seating assembly also includes a first thigh extension that is extendable and rotatable relative to the seat carrier and a second thigh extension that is extendable and rotatable relative to the seat carrier. The first thigh extension includes a first thigh flexmat operable between flexed and unflexed conditions. The second thigh extension includes a second thigh flexmat operable between flexed and unflexed conditions.
Comfort pilot seat kinematics
Described are adjustable seats having a lower portion of a back rest attached to a seat frame having an upper frame and a lower frame. A pivot axis is positioned at an upper end of the lower portion of the back rest, and an upper portion of the back rest is pivotally attached to the pivot axis. The location of the pivot axis is configured to be positioned below a person's shoulders when the person is seated in the adjustable seat. The upper portion of the back rest is also pivotally adjustable relative to the lower portion of the back rest. A seat pan having a front portion pivotally coupled to a rear portion can be attached to the upper frame. An actuation mechanism is configured to simultaneously control a vertical height of the upper frame and a rotational position of the front portion of the seat pan.
Fastener for swivel-mounted mounting of a seat shell of a vehicle seat and method for swivel-mounted mounting of a seat shell on a vehicle seat
A vehicle seat includes a seating portion and a seat shell coupled to the seat portion to swivel. The seat shell is coupled to the seating portion by a fastener.
Occupant support
A vehicle seat in accordance with the present disclosure includes a seat bottom and a seat back. The seat back is coupled to the seat bottom to move relative to the seat bottom. The seat bottom is coupled to a floor of a vehicle and configured to move relative to the seat back.
VEHICLE SEAT AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SITTING POSITION USING THE SAME
A vehicle seat is configured to adjust a position of a seat cushion by a multi-bar link provided at each of both sides of the seat cushion, where the multi-bar link includes one seat cushion frame of a plurality of seat cushion frames forming both side frames of the seat cushion, and front and rear links pivotably connected to the respective front and rear of the one seat cushion frame. The vehicle seat includes a drive device configured to rotate the multi-bar link such that an end of the front link connected to the one seat cushion frame is lifted up and an end of the rear link connected to the one seat cushion frame is simultaneously moved down.
Tilt arm for seat and vehicle seat
Provided is a tilt arm for a seat that is applied to a vehicle seat and that moves in a pivoting manner when changing an angle of inclination of a front end portion of a cushion pad. The tilt arm includes a coupling arm portion pivotably coupled to a side frame of a cushion frame, and a leading-end-side arm portion coupled and fixed to a leading end portion of the coupling arm portion. A sectional shape of a fixed portion, where the coupling arm portion and the leading-end-side arm portion are coupled and fixed to each other, is a closed sectional shape formed by a closed curve. A sectional shape of the coupling arm portion at the fixed portion and a sectional shape of the leading-end-side arm portion at the fixed portion are each an open sectional shape that is partially opened.
Seat adjustment apparatus for mobility
A seat adjustment apparatus for mobility includes a seat cushion, wherein, during seat cushion tilting, the front portion of the seat cushion is moved upwards, and the rear portion thereof is moved downwards so that the occupant's lower body is not moved upwards as a whole, and the occupant's feet are not excessively lifted. Accordingly, there is no need for a separate footrest for supporting the occupant's feet, and seating convenience is improved by implementing a stable occupant posture. Furthermore, a tilting bar provided for seat cushion tilting supports a seat frame so that the posture of the occupant's lower body does not collapse due to deformation of the seat cushion during a collision, securing the occupant's stability.
