VEHICLE OCCUPANT PROTECTION DEVICE
A vehicle occupant protection device includes: an airbag main body that includes a front-rear chamber that is deployed to a seat front side through a side of a head of an occupant by a gas ejected from an inflator operated when a collision of a vehicle is detected or predicted, and a tip end chamber that is deployed inward in a seat width direction from an end portion of the front-rear chamber on the seat front side; and a headrest that includes a main body portion that supports the head of the occupant from a seat rear side, and a side portion that is provided on at least a side of the main body portion, that protrudes to the seat front side until a deployment of the front-rear chamber is completed, and that is interposed between the front-rear chamber and the head of the occupant.
Seat assembly with deployable panel
A seat assembly for a vehicle includes a seatback having a seat frame. The seat assembly includes a panel having an end slidably supported by the seat frame. The panel is bowable outwardly from the seat frame to a deployed position. The seat assembly includes an actuator supported by the seat frame and connected to the end of the panel.
Safety systems
A vehicle includes a body structure that defines a passenger cabin, a seat assembly that is located in the passenger cabin, and a table that includes a table top and an adjustable support assembly. The table top is located adjacent to the seat assembly, the adjustable support assembly includes actuators, and the adjustable support assembly is configured to move the table top with respect to the seat assembly. The vehicle also includes sensors that are configured to generate sensor outputs regarding an environment outside of the vehicle, and a controller that detects a vehicle event based on the sensor outputs. In response to the detection of the vehicle event, the controller outputs a control signal that controls the adjustable support assembly so that the adjustable support assembly moves at least part of the table top away from the seat assembly.
ENERGY ABSORBING TABLE FOR VEHICLES
An energy absorbing table includes a support assembly and a table assembly. The support assembly includes a sidewall support that mounts to a sidewall, a support post that attaches to a floor, and a table support assembly coupled to the sidewall support and the support post. The table assembly includes a tabletop, at least one energy absorbing assembly, and at least one linear guide assembly. The at least one energy absorbing assembly includes a pair of plunger assemblies secured to the tabletop, and a crush chamber assembly secured to the table support assembly. The crush chamber assembly is configured to slidably receive an end portion of each of the pair of plunger assemblies and includes a pair of energy absorption cores. The at least one linear guide assembly includes a linear guide secured to the tabletop, and a pair of mounts secured to the table support assembly.
OCCUPANT PROTECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD INCLUDING SEATBACK
A seat for a vehicle may include a seatback including one or more inflatable bladders that may be configured to deploy in response to a triggering signal indicative of a change of velocity, collision, or predicted collision event. As at least a portion of the back of an occupant of the seat pushes against a front surface of the seatback due to the event, the one or more inflatable bladders compress at least partially the comfortable foam or comfort material in the seatback and expedite engagement of the energy absorbing material.
Active head restraint
An active head restraint for a seating assembly of a motor vehicle comprises a structural support for a seatback of the seating assembly, a movable head restraint pad having a stowed position and a deployed position, and a linkage deployment mechanism. The linkage deployment mechanism comprises an upper and lower bar pivotally attached at a forward end to a rear surface of the movable head restraint pad and pivotally attached at a rearward end to an outer tube fixed to an upper portion of the structural support. An inner tube reciprocates within the outer tube. A trigger mechanism is operatively connected with a lower end of the inner tube and urges the inner linkage and an actuating link to a raised deployed position in response to a rear impact event. The actuating link applies an upward force to the lower bar to deploy the movable head restraint pad.
Seat structure of vehicle
A headrest which supports a head portion of a passenger in a vehicle rear collision is attached to an upper portion of a frame of a seatback. A blower to perform ventilation for a passenger's back is arranged at the upper portion of the frame at a position below the headrest. The blower is held at the frame via attaching members, for example. When receiving a large rearward-load from the passenger in the vehicle rear collision, the blower moves rearward relatively to the frame and the headrest according to a rearward move (a rearward swing around an upper frame, particularly) of the attaching member and the like.
DEFORMATON ELEMENT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE SEAT
A deformation element for a motor vehicle seat, which element is intended to be arranged on a subassembly of a motor vehicle seat, having a base member, a deformation portion which is formed on the base member and on which the deformation element can be deformed and/or destroyed under the action of an external force, and a force introduction region by means of which a structural element of a motor vehicle seat can be brought into operational connection with the deformation portion so that a force acting on that structural element can be introduced via the force introduction region into the deformation portion. The deformation portion is formed by means of partial deformation of the material of the deformation element and at the transition of the deformation portion to the base member of the deformation element there is a weakening region which defines at least one tear line.
A TABLE FOR MEANS OF TRANSPORT
The present invention relates to a table for a means of public transport, which installs a shock energy absorption system.
