20230047196 · 2023-02-16 ·

A seat trim cover for a vehicle seat comprises a molded foam backing formed on a cover material blank that has been vacuum-formed into a 3-dimensional shape. The cover material blank has been pre-cut into a predefined shape having a predefined selvage extending around an outer periphery of the cover material blank. The molded foam backing is spaced apart from the predefined selvage of the cover material blank forming a foam-free selvage. The molded foam backing includes a stepped edge profile having first surface defining a first sewing alignment feature and a second surface defining a second alignment feature. The first sewing alignment feature is spaced apart from the second sewing alignment feature.

Extruded non-woven and J-clip

In one example, a vehicle seat includes a non-woven and a J-clip, wherein the non-woven is secured to the J-clip to define a single component. The vehicle seat includes a trim cover attached to the non-woven, and the J-clip is attached to a cushion frame to attach the trim cover to the cushion frame.

A seat assembly includes a seat cushion having an external surface and defining a recess therein, the recess being open to the external surface and being sized to receive one or more bezel components and a trim cover assembly disposed over the seat cushion. The trim cover assembly includes a trim cover having an A-side as an occupant surface and a B-side, opposite the A-side, facing the external surface of the seat cushion, with the trim cover defining a cover opening therethrough generally corresponding to the recess in the seat cushion. The trim cover also has a plurality of flaps spaced about the cover opening, with each flap having an inner portion towards the cover opening and an outer portion opposite the inner portion. The trim cover assembly also includes a bezel support member having an A-surface contacting the B-side of the trim cover, and a B-surface opposite the A-surface. The bezel support member has an inner periphery defining a support opening corresponding to the cover opening, and an outer periphery, where the flaps of the trim cover are folded through the support opening and secured to at least a portion of the bezel support member or to the trim cover to support the cover opening. The seat assembly also includes a bezel disposed in the recess and having a peripheral edge supported on the A-surface on the bezel support member.

TRIM SUPPORT MEMBER

A trim cover assembly includes a trim cover disposable on a seat cushion, the trim cover having an A-side defining an occupant surface and a B-side, opposite the A-side, facing an external surface of the seat cushion. The trim cover defines a support area which, when disposed over the seat cushion, corresponds to a seat belt buckle and a recess corresponding to the seat belt buckle. The trim cover assembly also includes a trim support member secured on the B-side of the trim cover, and corresponding to at least a portion of the support area. The trim support member defines an engagement region for engaging a seat frame to form a support extension from the seat frame to provide support to the trim cover over the seat belt buckle and recess.

SEWING STRUCTURE FOR IMPROVING APPEARANCE OF SEAT COVER

The present invention relates to a sewing structure for a seat cover, comprising a first cut piece (1), a second cut piece (2), a first sewing thread (3), a second sewing thread (4) and an inlay (5), wherein the first and the second cut piece in an overlapped status are sewn together by the first and the second sewing thread which are spaced apart from each other, wherein the inlay is arranged between the first and the second cut piece and between the first and the second sewing thread.

Trim assembly ornamental stitching

A seat assembly is provided with a frame, and a trim assembly oriented about the frame to conceal the frame. The trim assembly is provided with a first trim panel, a second trim panel, and a structurally reinforced seam with piping along an intersection of the first trim panel and the second trim panel. Ornamental stitching is provided along an exterior length of the structurally reinforced seam and incrementally traverses the structurally reinforced seam to interconnect the first trim panel and the second trim panel along the structurally reinforced seam, and to provide an ornamental stitching appearance to the structurally reinforced seam.

SEAT DEVICE

A seat device includes a cushion portion configured to elastically support a seated person, and a seat frame configured to support the cushion portion. The cushion portion includes a plurality of divided cushions divided in a seat width direction. Each of the plurality of divided cushions includes a seat pad, and a seat cover individually covering the seat pad. A divided surface between the divided cushions adjacent to each other includes a first divided surface extending from a seat front side toward a seat back side, and a second divided surface that is bent from a seat back side extending tip of the first divided surface in a direction different from a direction in which the first divided surface extends and extends toward the seat back side.

The invention concerns a cushion or cushioning comprising, a cover an outer covering layer, a middle foam layer and an inner mesh layer. The cushion also includes an electric circuit connected to an electric generator, the circuit being made from conductive ink deposited on a support layer. The circuit extends opposite the complex; a block of elastically compressible padding, the support layer being formed either by the inner layer, or by an additional mesh layer interposed between the inner layer and the block.

Covering system for motor vehicle seat member and method for manufacturing such a covering system

A method for manufacturing a covering system for a motor vehicle seat member includes the steps of: providing a support, a cover and a pad; associating the support with the cover, the pad being left free between the support and the cover; and creating longitudinal seam lines, one on either side of the pad. The longitudinal seam lines join together the support and the cover. The longitudinal seam lines form straight segments, extending in a transverse direction towards the first pad, and join together the support, the cover, and the first pad.

Composite material for vehicles

Provided is a composite material for vehicles capable of substantially preventing the occurrence of wrinkles caused by ease stitching. This composite material for vehicles is a layered product of a skin material and a polyurethane foam sheet. The skin material has a play structure which, when the composite material for vehicles is stitched, allows the skin material to follow deformation caused by the stitching with a smooth state of a surface of the skin material maintained. The skin material is a woven fabric including warp yarns and weft yarns. The warp yarns and/or the weft yarns include two or more types of yarns having different total finenesses, and form the play structure.
