A seat for a vehicle is provided which is capable of minimizing excessive depression in a region of a sheet-shaped elastic material corresponding to an occupant's buttocks while reducing components in a seat cushion employing a sheet-shaped elastic material. The seat cushion of the vehicle seat includes: a cushion pad; a left side frame; a right side frame; a front frame disposed between a front portion of the right side frame and a front portion of the left side frame; a rear frame disposed between a rear portion of the right side frame and a rear portion of the left side frame; and a sheet-shaped elastic material disposed between the front frame and the rear frame to support the cushion pad from below. The sheet-shaped elastic material includes a rigid reinforcement portion to minimize an amount of stretch of the sheet-shaped elastic material in a front-rear direction.

ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED CUSHION COMPONENT

A cushion component includes a lattice matrix having a first section comprised of a plurality of 3D cells. Each 3D cell of the plurality of 3D cells of the first section of the lattice matrix includes a face-centered cubic geometry. A second section of the lattice matrix is positioned below the first section and includes a plurality of 3D cells. Each 3D cell of the plurality of 3D cells of the second section of the lattice matrix includes a body-centered cubic geometry. The first section and the second section of the lattice matrix are integrated to define a monolithic structure comprised of a common material.

Using foam for structural components of a seat assembly

Seat assemblies (200) including structural components (212, 222, 232) made of foam are described. A seat sub-assembly (210, 220, 230) can include a frame (214, 224, 234) and a foam support (212, 222, 232). The foam support (212, 222, 232) can be coupled to the frame (214, 224, 234) for receiving a load on the seat sub-assembly (210, 220, 230), dissipating at least half of the load, and dispersing the load through the frame (214, 224, 234).

SEAT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY

A seat assembly and a method of assembly. The seat assembly includes a trim cover assembly and a cushion that defines an opening for receiving a child seat anchor. The trim cover assembly has flaps that are attached to a stiffener. The stiffener is received in the opening and is mounted to the cushion.

SEAT FOR A VEHICLE

A seat for a vehicle comprising a bearing structure, which is elastically deformable, is divided into a cushion and a backrest and is obtained by means of a foam having a net-like structure. The bearing structure of the cushion has: an outer zone, which extends along the entire periphery of the cushion and has a first bearing capacity; and an inner zone, which extends at the centre, is completely surrounded – on all sides – by the outer zone and has a second bearing capacity smaller than the first bearing capacity.

The main cushion (3) of an automobile seat (e.g. the seat pan cushion, or a backrest cushion) is provided with a shield (2). The shield surrounds at least part of the lateral sides of the main cushion and is formed of a less compressible (i.e. harder) foam than the main cushion, such that when the seat is upholstered, creases in the upholstery are reduced/prevented and gapping is avoided.

VEHICLE SEATING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME

A vehicle seating system and a method for producing a vehicle seating system may include a cushion made at least in part from a stranded-mesh material and configured to support a seated occupant. Also included may be a support structure configured to support the cushion and a trim-cover material configured to be disposed over at least a portion of the stranded-mesh material. The stranded-mesh material may include an integrated attachment arrangement configured to receive a fastening arrangement for securing the trim-cover material to the stranded-mesh material.

A ROWING SEAT

The present invention relates to a rowing seat (1) for rowing and kayaking boats and exercise equipment, comprising a first face (2) adapted to support and carry a user, a second face (3) arranged opposite the first face, a first end (4) and a second end (5), a first side (6) and a second side (7), and a longitudinal axis (8) extending between the first end and the second end, wherein the first face (2) comprises a middle section (9) arranged substantially between the first and second sides (6, 7) and extending from the first end (4) towards the second end (5) with a length of at least 8 cm, the middle section (9) having a substantially convex support face (10) extending along the longitudinal axis, the support face (10) being adapted to support at least 50% of the user's weight during use of the rowing seat. The present invention also relates to a rowing, kayaking or exercise system comprising a rowing seat according to the present invention.

Composite Foam Article

A composite foam article comprises a foam core layer presenting a first surface and a second surface facing opposite the first surface. A first polymeric bonding layer is disposed on the first surface, one or more first reinforcing layers comprising a plurality of fibers and a polymeric binder are disposed on the first polymeric bonding layer, and a first polymeric containment layer is disposed on the one or more first reinforcing layers. A second polymeric bonding layer is disposed on the second surface, one or more second reinforcing layers comprising a plurality of fibers and a polymeric binder are disposed on the second polymeric bonding layer, and a second polymeric containment layer is disposed on the one or more second reinforcing layers. At least one catch layer comprising particles of carbon is dispersed in and/or disposed between any of the aforementioned layers.

ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE SEAT

An assembly for a vehicle seat that includes: a padding element, a support element, and a connector attached to the support element, with the support element assembled on the padding element. The assembly has an assembly member extending from a surface of the padding element, or formed by at least a portion of the support element, with the connector and the padding element each defining a first contact surface and a second contact surface, respectively, in contact with the first contact surface. The first contact surface and the second contact surface are substantially complementary, with the support element being assembled on the padding element by means of the assembly member, in an assembly direction.
