A motor vehicle seat may have a seat squab, a back rest, and kinematics for moving the vehicle seat from a use position suitable for conveying people to a non-use position or access position. The access position makes accessing a rear row of seats easier. The seat may be moved by a drive device from the use position to the non-use position, and vice versa. The seat may have a rear foot with a locking device that can be locked with a counter-element for securing in the use position. The seat may also have a protection device arranged in the region of the locking device for detecting an obstacle in a movement path of the rear foot when the vehicle seat is moved from the non-use position to the use position.

Seat control system for vehicle

The present disclosure provides a seat control system for a vehicle, which may sense whether passengers have been seated on a front seat and a rear seat, and easily implement sleep and rest postures of the front seat and the rear seat through the height adjustment, the reclining adjustment, and the like of the front seat and the rear seat according to the sensed result.

Monitoring System for a Vehicle Cabin
20220402509 · 2022-12-22 ·

A monitoring system for a vehicle cabin, a vehicle including such a monitoring system and a method for monitoring a vehicle cabin. The monitoring system includes a first sensor unit, a second sensor unit and a control unit. The first sensor unit is configured to generate image data of the vehicle cabin. The second sensor unit is configured to generate non-image data of the vehicle cabin. The control unit is configured to collect the image data and the non-image data and determine based thereon whether an obstacle is in the vehicle cabin. The control unit is further configured to limit an actuation of a subsystem if the obstacle is disruptive for the actuation of the subsystem.

Vehicle seat bottom stopper

A vehicle seat includes a seat cushion supported on a frame. The seat cushion is removable from the frame to allow access an area beneath the seat. A handle is formed on a projecting portion of the seat cushion to facilitate grasping the seat cushion and to allow the seat cushion to be removed from the frame. A seat stopper is provided for preventing the projecting portion from contacting directly against a console or other surrounding part of the vehicle.

Seat apparatus and seat system

[Object] To inhibit leg rests from colliding with each other and to allow a leg rest of his/her own seat to operate even in the case where a power source failure or the like occurs. [Solving Means] A seat apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a seat body; a control unit; and a setting means. The seat body includes a leg rest. The control unit includes a controller. The controller determines whether the seat body is in a first state in which the seat body does not face a front seat or a back seat of the seat body or a second state in which the seat body faces one of the front seat and the back seat. The controller enables, where the controller has determined that the seat body is in the first state, a tilt operation command for the leg rest to tilt forward, and invalidates, where the controller has determined that the seat body is in the second state, the tilt operation command. The setting means fixes the determination result by the controller to the first state.

System and method for controlling moving console of self-driving vehicle

Disclosed is a system and method for controlling a moving console. When a seat of a vehicle is moved forwards or rearwards, a console is automatically moved to a usable position adjacent to the seat, whereby it is possible for a passenger on the seat to conveniently use the console. In addition, when the seat is swiveled, the console is automatically moved to a position at which interference between the console and the seat is avoidable, whereby the seat is swiveled smoothly.

Headrest assembly configured to resist vibration

This disclosure generally relates to a headrest assembly, seat, and a method of use. In the disclosure, a head restraint is moveable from an upright position to a folded position by movement of either the push-button or a lever. The disclosed arrangement provides two ways to fold a head restraint, and can further be integrated with another assembly, such as a seat back folding assembly. The disclosed arrangement is further configured to resist vibration, leading to a tighter, more stable design, which provides increased customer satisfaction.

Method for Providing Anti-Trap Protection for a Motor Vehicle

A method provides anti-trap protection for a motor vehicle, in which a miniature safety edge is arranged on a first interior component which is movable in automated fashion relative to a second interior component by way of a control device. An automated movement of the interior components relative to one another via the control device is prevented when the miniature safety edge is actuated.

SEAT DEVICE

A seat device that can reliably prevent a rotation operation of a seat by a seated person, in a long state where the back of the seat is along a wall. A rotation lock mechanism (60) that can restrain the rotation of a seat (1), a rotation operation unit (200) that performs a release operation of restraint by the rotation lock mechanism (60), and a rotation operation prevention mechanism (210) that disables the release operation in the rotation operation unit (200), when the seat (1) is in the long state are included. The rotation operation prevention mechanism (210) includes an engaging unit (211) provided in the leg stand (11), and an engaged unit (207) that is provided in the rotation operation unit (200) in the movable stand (20), and disables the release operation in the rotation operation unit (200) by being engaged with the engaging unit (211) when the seat (1) is in the long state.
