TRAILER EMPLOYING ROLLER ELEMENTS AND A DOUBLE GOOSENECK SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

A trailer having a main deck portion having a main deck surface, an upper deck portion having an upper deck surface, a connecting frame assembly, a plurality of rollers elements, and a tailgate. The connecting frame assembly can couple together the main deck portion and the upper deck portion. The roller elements can be arranged in one or more rows and can be mounted in the main deck surface or the upper deck surface so as to cover a substantial portion of the main deck surface or the upper deck surface. The tailgate can be coupled to the main deck portion and can be movable between a closed position and an open position.

AUTONOMOUS TILTING DELIVERY VEHICLE
20230001759 · 2023-01-05 ·

An autonomous tilting three-wheeled vehicle comprises a pair of front wheels coupled to a tiltable chassis by a mechanical linkage, such that the pair of wheels and the chassis are configured to tilt in unison with respect to a roll axis of the chassis. An electronic controller of the autonomous vehicle controls a tilt actuator to selectively tilt the chassis. Optionally, a steering actuator is coupled to the front wheels and controlled by the electronic controller to selectively steer the wheels. A sensor configured to measure orientation-dependent information may be coupled to the chassis by a gimbal configured to compensate for vehicle tilt. In some examples, the autonomous vehicle comprises an autonomous delivery robot.

Off-highway vehicle including frame coupled gas spring wheel assemblies

An off-highway vehicle may include an off-highway vehicle frame and a motor carried by the off-highway vehicle frame. The off-highway vehicle may also include wheel assemblies rotatably coupled to the off-highway vehicle frame without an intervening vehicle suspension and at least some of the wheel assemblies being driven by the motor. Each of the wheel assemblies may include an inner rim coupled to the hub, an outer rim surrounding the inner rim, and gas springs coupled between the inner rim and the outer rim to provide a gas suspension for relative movement between the inner and outer rims.

Electric haul truck

An electric vehicle may include a frame, a set of wheels, and an electric propulsion system comprising an electric motor and a primary battery assembly including a first battery pack that powers the electric motor. The vehicle may also include an auxiliary battery pack configured to power the electric motor when the primary battery assembly is disconnected from the electric motor. The primary battery assembly may be non-destructively removable from the frame. In addition, the auxiliary battery pack may be fixedly attached to the frame.

TIP-OVER PREVENTION FOR LOAD CARRYING VEHICLES
20220410856 · 2022-12-29 · ·

A tip-over prevention system for vehicle, including a tilt detector operably coupled to a rear axle of the vehicle. The tilt detector is configured to detect a current tilt. A tilt controller is placed in electronic communication with the tilt detector and the tilt controller is placed in electronic communication with a braking controller that is configured to activate a braking system of the vehicle. The tilt controller is configured to determine if the current tilt exceeds a preset tilt threshold. In response to the current tilt exceeding the preset tilt threshold, the tilt controller is configured to signal the braking controller to activate the braking system of the vehicle.

Tip over prevention for dumping vehicles
11498469 · 2022-11-15 · ·

A tip-over prevention system for dumping vehicles includes a tilt detector operably coupled to one of a cargo body and a chassis of a dumping vehicle. At least a portion of the cargo body is configured to be raised by a piston, and the tilt detector is configured to detect a current tilt. The system includes a fluid release valve placed in fluid communication with the piston which is activated in response to the tilt detector detecting a current tilt that exceeds a preset tilt limit. Activation of the fluid release valve releases a pressure in the piston causing the cargo body of the vehicle to lower.
