System and method of automated clean out of carryback in surface haulage
11498785 · 2022-11-15 · ·

A system for removing carryback material from within a dump body of a haul truck includes a clean out implement. A controller is configured to determine the pose of the dump body, determine the pose of the clean out implement, determine a path of the clean out implement to remove carryback material from the interior surface of the dump body based upon a map of the carryback material, the pose of the dump body, and the pose of the clean out implement, and generate movement command signals to move the clean out implement along the path to perform a clean out operation on the interior surface of the dump body.

Rocker support assembly

A support rocker configured to be pivotally coupled to a rocker attachment interface of a space frame comprises a rocker body having a pivot bore configured to receive therethrough a pivot pin to pivotally couple the rocker body to the rocker attachment interface; and a rocker support insert provided on a top portion of the rocker body. The rocker support insert can be removably coupled to the top portion of the rocker body, and the rocker support insert can define an upward-facing contact surface.

Material collection and transfer cart

An apparatus includes a base frame, first and second bins, first and second hydraulic assemblies, and a computer controller. The first hydraulic assembly is configured to selectively raise and lower the first bin relative to the base frame. The second hydraulic assembly is configured to selectively raise and lower the second bin relative to the base frame. The first and second hydraulic assemblies are individually actuable, and their actuation is coordinated by the controller. In another aspect, a method for transferring product using an apparatus includes inputting to a computer controller a first threshold rate of change in weight signals of a weight sensor; relaying a plurality of weight signals from the weight sensor to the controller; calculating a determination by the controller at least in part on whether the threshold rate of change has been exceeded; and automating actuation of a hydraulic assembly based on the determination.

A placement body on which an article is placed is driven by a transfer drive mechanism to transfer the article. The transfer drive mechanism includes a transfer drive source and a transmission mechanism. The transmission mechanism includes an output member coupled to an output shaft of the transfer drive source and a driven member that is not coupled to the output member and operates by being pressed by the output member. A wheel drive source, the transfer drive source, and the output member are supported by a vehicle body frame, and the placement body and the driven member are supported by a vehicle body cover. The vehicle body cover covers the wheel drive source and the transfer drive source and is detachably attached to the vehicle body frame.

ENERGY-DISSIPATIVE PNEUMATIC CUSHIONING SYSTEM

An energy-dissipative pneumatic cushioning system for cushioning heavy loads includes (i) one or more support members that extend beneath at least a portion of at least one pneumatic cushioning element and (ii) at least one connector assembly that communicatively couple the at least one pneumatic cushioning element to a gas supply unit and optionally at least one gas reservoir. The at least one gas reservoir is capable of accepting at least a portion of gas from the at least one pneumatic cushioning element under a force of a load. The at least one connector assembly is further operable to allow a return of at least a portion of the gas to the at least one pneumatic cushioning element upon reduction of at least a portion of the force of the load.

Lifting handle construction for vehicle tilt bed
11624215 · 2023-04-11 · ·

A tilt bed for a multi-utility vehicle that is movable from a flat conveying positon to a tilted dump position. The tilt bed has a lift handle construction that combines a molded thermoplastic portion integral with the tilt bed body and a handle bracket that provides reinforcement in the appropriate location to provide a sturdy handle for ease of lifting. The bracket has at least a yoke shape underlying the bed body and is co-extensive with a neighboring edge of the bed body to provide a comfortable lift area. The bracket is rigidly attached to the bed body, and may also have a more robust shape such as a closed loop. For added stiffness and strength, the bracket may also be rigidly connected to the bed frame.

BUCKET SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE TRAY

A bucket system (10) comprising a frame (12) including first and second rails (26, 27). A bucket (14) is provided having a bucket support (16) including front wheels (32, 33) and rear wheels (34, 35) being slidable within channels (30) in the first and second rails (26, 27). Rear portions (39) of the rails (26, 27) are pivotable between extended and stored positions. When the rear portions (39) are moved to the extended positions, gaps (42) are defined in upper sides of each of the rails (26, 27) such when the rear wheels (34, 35) are moved into the rear portions (39) of the first and second rails (26, 27), the front wheels (32, 33) may move upwardly through the gaps (42) to allow the bucket (14) to pivot about the rear wheels (34, 35).
