Tank trailer operating system
A ground-level access operating system for a tank trailer. The ground-level system includes a cleaning/washing device, a venting device, an inspection access port, and device for loading/unloading the compartments. All devices in this system are located on the side of the semi-trailer, within an operator's reach on the ground. The devices locations are meant to be reachable to ensure operator safety. The operator of the trailer can execute all work without having to reach the top of the tank. Both of venting and cleaning/washing devices have their access port on top of the tank but are hooked up at a position proximate ground level, for an easy-to-reach operation and inspection by on operator on the ground.
MATERIAL STORAGE UNIT FOR USE IN SUBTERRANEAN FORMATION OPERATIONS
A material storage unit including a bin having a bottom end, a top end, and a sidewall extending therebetween and defining an interior configured to hold particulates, where a portion of the sidewall defines an angular air flow vent having a top air inlet and a bottom air inlet. The material storage unit further includes a fill line inlet extending through one or both of the bottom end of the bin or the sidewall of the bin and in fluid communication with the interior, a venting outlet extending through one or both of the top end of the bin or the sidewall of the bin and in fluid communication with the interior, and a discharge outlet extending through the bottom end of the bin and in fluid communication with the interior.
TANK TRAILER WITH FLUID COLLECTION SYSTEM
A tank trailer is provided. The tank trailer includes a tank having an interior volume adapted to contain fluid, and a manhole extending through the tank and positioned proximate a rear portion thereof and proximate to ground level. The tank trailer also includes a ventilation system having a ventilation interface communicating with the interior volume of the tank, a ventilation access port having a ventilation outlet positioned proximate the rear portion and proximate to ground level and a ventilation pipe adapted to establish fluid communication between the ventilation outlet and ventilation interface. The tank trailer further has a collection system which includes a collection pipe coupled between the ventilation interface and the ventilation pipe. The collection pipe defines an internal volume shaped and adapted to collect fluid spilling from the interior volume of the tank through the ventilation interface and at least partially prevent fluid flow into the ventilation pipe.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VENTING TANKS TO ENHANCE TRANSPORTING ASPHALT
Systems and methods to vent a tank to enhance transporting asphalt when positioned in the tank may include connecting a vapor box to a tank. The vapor box may include one or more vents apertures and a valve associated with the one or more vent apertures and positioned to provide fluid flow between the interior of the vapor box and the exterior. The systems and methods may also include communication via a selector with the valve to cause the valve to switch between an open condition and a closed condition. The selector may be located remotely from the valve, and the systems and methods may also include communication with an indicator via one or more of the valve or the selector to provide an indication of one or more of the valve in the open condition or the valve in the closed condition.
TRAILER WITH INCLUDED REAR BULKHEAD THAT INCLUDES REAR LIGHTING ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF OPERATION
A tank vehicle for concealing drainage and emitting light for travel. The tank vehicle includes a main body that has a front bulkhead, a rear bulkhead opposite to the front bulkhead, an exterior wall operably engaged with the front bulkhead and the rear bulkhead, and at least one interior chamber defined collectively by the front bulkhead, the rear bulkhead, and the exterior wall and adapted to carry a load. The tank vehicle also includes a false bulkhead that is removably engaged with the main body and is located a distance away from one of the front bulkhead and the rear bulkhead. The tank vehicle also includes a rear lighting assembly that operably engages with one of the rear bulkhead and the false bulkhead. The main body is also capable of concealing drainage of precipitation exterior to the at least one interior chamber between the rear bulkhead and the false bulkhead.
Breather valve
Disclosed is a breather valve for controlling a pressure of a transfer channel of a valve assembly. The valve assembly controls charging and discharging of hydrogen in a hydrogen fuel cell-based vehicle. The breather valve includes a vent ring movably received in a distal portion of the transfer channel and having a ventilation hole communicating with a main portion of the transfer channel; and a vent valve received in the distal portion of the transfer channel and screw-coupled to the transfer channel to open or close the ventilation hole.
Inclined retracting hose tray for tank truck
The invention uses a multiplicity of stacked storage racks at least one of which is inclined wherein each rack is equipped with a powered mechanism for deploying and retracting a large diameter drain hose or vent hose. The at least one storage rack that is inclined is used to store a large diameter drain hose such that a flex is formed in the stored hose which is at a lowered elevation than the uncoupled end of the stored hose. By this means a stored large diameter drain hose can transport, and not spill, fluid from a previous use.
Vacuum installation for industrial vacuum processes
The invention relates to a vacuum installation for industrial application, the installation comprising a first vessel having a first gas inlet for allowing a gaseous substance into the first vessel and a first outlet for depletion of a material, a second vessel having a second inlet for aspirating a quantity of material and a second gas outlet for depletion of the gaseous substance, wherein the gaseous substance comprises a vapour generated from the material, a storage chamber for storing the quantity of material, the storage chamber having a third inlet, wherein at least the first vessel communicates with an interior of the storage chamber via the first outlet and the third inlet; and a vacuum pump located in between the first vessel and the second vessel, and operated to lower the pressure in the second vessel, thereby allowing the material to be sucked into the second vessel via the second liquid inlet to an equilibrium level between the material and the gaseous substance, the vacuum pump being further operated to transport the gaseous substance to the first vessel to raise the pressure in the first vessel, thereby forcing the material in the first vessel into the storage chamber.
