SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TRANSPORTING FUEL AND CARBON DIOXIDE IN A DUAL FLUID VESSEL
20230235851 · 2023-07-27 ·

Embodiments of systems and methods for transporting fuel and carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2) in a dual-fluid vessel thereby minimizing transportation between locations are disclosed. In an embodiment, the dual-fluid vessel has an outer shell with two or more inner compartments, positioned within the outer shell, including a first inner compartment for storing CO.sub.2 and a second inner compartment for storing fuel. The dual-fluid vessel may connect or attach to a transportation vehicle to thereby allow transportation of the fuel and CO.sub.2. Insulation may provide temperature regulation for the fuel and CO.sub.2 when positioned in the respective first and second inner compartments. One or more ports having an opening in and through the outer shell and a fluid pathway to one or more of the first inner compartment or the second inner compartment may provide fluid communication through the opening and fluid pathway for loading/offloading the fuel and/or CO.sub.2.

Vehicle adapted for making mixtures of waste lubricating oil/fuel oil for the in situ production of bulk products, and associated process

The invention relates to a transport vehicle designed preferably for producing a mixture of waste lubricating oils/fuel oil (ALR/FO), mounted preferably on a chassis and comprising at least one metal tank. The metal tank is divided internally into at least two compartments having respective wave-breaks, wherein each compartment comprises a pump system, a plurality of lines for recharging products, at least one quick-filling system for respective FO and ALR compartments, at least one manual traditional filling system, and the vehicle comprises at least one logical control system having at least one actuating panel, at least one actuating reel for the actuation of at least one hose, and at least one static mixer for the ALR/FO mixture having an overpressure safety system, wherein said safety system includes a recirculation system to the ALR compartment, a plurality of double-acting vent valves, at least one man access, at least one battery, a plurality of filters for the suction of recycled oils and at least two filters for direct supply to manufacturing equipment. The invention also relates to an associated process.

Pneumatic tank trailer

A pneumatic tank trailer includes a carriage and a tank supported on the trailer that can selectively discharge fluidizable material through hoppers of the tank. A nose portion of the trailer has a generally conical shape. The nose portion has a top that slopes downward and sides that taper inward as it extends forward. A cross-sectional center point of a front end of the nose portion is lower than a cross-sectional center point of a rear end of the nose portion along the height of the trailer. The length of the nose portion is at least 15% of the length of the trailer. Adjacent hoppers intersect at hopper crotches. The hopper crotches have short heights and the hoppers are arranged relatively close together.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR OFFLOADING CARGO FROM TANK TRAILERS

An apparatus and method are provided for offloading cargo from a tank trailer, which has at least interior compartments, to one or more discharge points. The apparatus includes two or more T-connectors each of which is connected, via a valve, to an outlet of a respective one of the interior compartments of the tank trailer. Each T-connector has an axis defined by a pair of opposing arms and, contrary to conventional apparatus and methods, the T-connectors are positioned with their axes oriented perpendicularly or obliquely relative to the length of the tank trailer. Additionally, for each T-connector, a discharge conduit is connected to one of the opposing arms so that all of the discharge conduits extend from the same side of the tank trailer, perpendicularly or obliquely relative to the length of the tank trailer. A blower conduit is also connected to each T-connector, to the other of the pair of opposing arms, and extend from the other side the tank trailer, opposite the discharge conduits. The blower conduits are also connected to at least one blower which provides air flow and pressure. The method involves providing power to the blower(s), and opening the valves to cause the cargo to flow from each of the interior compartments and form multiple flow streams which flow concurrently, along multiple flow paths, to the one or more discharge points. This apparatus and method reduce the time necessary to accomplish offloading the cargo, among other advantages.
